Adam T7V Reviews
It came better than I expected
I was surprised when I first heard it, I heard a lot of detail in the songs, frankly, I didn't expect it to be this good, the man really does this job, great for mix mastering and production, these can be used in the home studio and everywhere, the treble frequencies are very good, he announces to me what to turn on without any difficulty
What else would you rather buy?
Excellent value for the money, have bought twice and would again if I had an use case for it.
Adam T7V
In general good studio monitors , I feel that it lacks a little more power , about 90W each would be ideal , if it weren't for the slight loss of medium I would opt for the larger 8 inch
Nice and cheap
The assembly quality is good.
Tweeters, as in older models. The sound quality is quite good, perfect for home and small studios.
Good
Good speakers, I really quickly used to them and start using in my mixing needs.
It works for me in that price range very well.
I can recommend it.
Never going back !
Pry these from my dead cold hands .... do yourself a favour .. grab a few of these ... not even missing the 20hz ... but will probs get the sub anyway later ... we will see ... These are sublime !
I have been using an older pair of Yamaha MSP5 at home for a while and although they are very good, the bottom end is a bit lacking - no surprise with a 5 inch woofer. I toyed with the idea of a sub but decided too go for a bigger set of monitors instead. I was looking around for a pair of Yamaha HS7 but while checking reviews on youtube I saw a comparison with the Adam monitors. I was impressed. A friend has an older set of Adam monitors too and hearing them it was pretty much decision made. On top of that, I felt that if I really didn't like them or they didn't suit my tastes or room acoustics I could always send them back.
Lovely Speakers
The T7V are lovely budget monitors, they are a little more bassy than the yamahas but not as in your face as the rockits.
Reasonably large form but still found a comfortable place in my studio.
Im not a fan of the switches being placed on the back because you cant adjust easily without moving them around.
Also there is risk that you leave them on and there is no auto power option like you get with the sub.
Build quality seems to be pretty good however I have had to send one back for repair within the warranty period which is concerning.
The speaker has had little use due to an upgrade to A7X within 2 months of buying the T7V - Thanks taxman.
If you can afford to, go for the A7X.
They are a fair bit more powerful and sound so much clearer.
The T7V delivers plenty of clarity, decent imaging and volume from a pretty compact footprint. A tidy package, at a good price.
Did a lot of comparison e.g., RoKu 7 KRK all including subwoofer. The difference is without a doubt much better with the Adam T7V's. The Adam T7V is an affordable two-way studio monitor designed for vertical use in a nearfield application. The wide frequency response, high dynamic range, excellent transient response, wide sweet spot and small footprint makes the T7V perfectly suited for use in small control rooms for music production, video post-production and broadcast production.
Wide Frequency Spectrum
Featuring a 7” woofer that provides bass extension down to 39 Hz, the T7V's U-ART tweeter diaphragm provides pristine and extended high-frequency response up to 25 kHz, which is virtually unheard of in studio monitors at this price-point.
The U-ART tweeter is fitted to a precision waveguide with the same dispersion-control attributes as the High Frequency Propagation (HPS) waveguide used in ADAM Audio’s flagship S Series studio monitors. The waveguide’s highly uniform dispersion of high frequencies provides an incredibly wide sweet spot that frees you from being glued to a rigid mix position while working.
Powerful Projection
On the rear side of the T7V’s bevelled cabinet, a rear-firing bass reflex port joins a sturdy metal backplate that’s home to the analogue input connections. The U-ART tweeter is powered by a 20 W Class-D amp, while a 50 W Class-D amp serves the woofer. These new powerhouses yield an impressive maximum of 110 dB SPL per pair.
The ADAM Sub8 subwoofer is the perfect match to complement the T7V, to extend the capabilities of monitoring in the bottom end.
Do not overthink, this is the one you need, test it out.
Bang for buck
Massively impressed by the quality of these monitors for the price. If you're setting up a little home studio these are perfect
SOUNDS AMAZING
Before buying my first pair of monitors, I did too many researches before finally purchasing the Adam T7V. The build quality and the sound are mind blowing. I am very happy with it.
Great monitor for the price
Have been using it for over 2 years now. The high end clarity is great, the bass is enough for medium level mixing, even for edm music.
Best studio speakers for music production and mixing
Just had my Adam T7V speakers delivered. Being used using my krk rokit 5 1st gen for 16 years. Finally I get to own the Adam speakers. Definitely the quality and sound is excellent. I can really hear my mixes properly using the Adam speakers. The sound imaging is amazing!
Great sounding monitors
They sound awesome right from the get-go!
I bought 2 for my fresh new home studio, and while I wasn't sure about them at first hand I don't have any regrets now. The low end is clear, solid, not really overwhelming - things you can expect from a 7" woofer. Well, I'm mixing into metal so I can't be sure for the guys in R&B or more intensified low end genres. The highs are also crystal clear, they're not piercing even when listening to black metal or records with high screaming vocal intensity.
The build quality is top level. These guys are heavy as f@#k (bare in mind when choosing their position)! Solid housing, quality switches, very very nice in overall. The only thing I get annoyed from is that silent undergoing hiss at medium to high volumes when you're not playing anything on them, but thats nothing when you actually listen to music.
Don't listen to complains - these are monsters! Totally recommending them to every one on a budget!
As expected
Nice dynamic in the low range. I'm mainly practising bass guitar on those.
Best price/quality ratio
I use these monitors for almost 2 years. This is my first pair of studio monitors, and I have to say buying this has increased my sound mixing qualities drastically.
I usually work with very intense low-end music (Trap, Rap, EDM), 7 inches woofer serves for this type of music very well (I think 5'' wouldn't be enough).
Of course, this is one of the cheapest studio monitor however to my opinion it has one of the best price/quality ratio admists it`s segment.
One drawback I've noticed so far is the unbalanced (RCA) input - the sound goes with a constant noise (about 5-10% of a useful signal) via RCA. It's not a big deal, but anyway if you have an option to use XLR - use it.
perfect sound
For me, these are the first monitors. The sound is naturally just great. I gave ADAM to an audiophile person to listen to, and the first thing he said was a thoroughbred sound. Despite the fact that this is the most budget line from ADAM - I don't regret a bit that I took this model. According to the balance - there are a little too many tops - I used the factory switch and minus 2 decibels. the sound is as clear and balanced as possible. Midrange - vocals are just like a person standing in front and singing live. The bottoms were enough for me with my head for a room of 20 square meters. Buzz if you put it close to the walls - cover the phase inverter with ordinary socks :) The hum disappears immediately when using socks, or simply move the monitors away by 30-40 centimeters.
Extraordinary
Super super quality. Much better that I expected
Luca Bordonaro
Awesome set of monitors, with warm low end and sharp high end. Highly suggested
I am using Adam TV7 since around six months now and I am quite happy with it. Good quality, sound, frequency response and price.
Good active monitors for studio or home studio. The build quality is high, very well constructed, very solid. The sound is very "dry" not "characteristic", could be not very warm at high volumes; is quite true/accurate to the music/productions played thru it.
In my opinion at low/normal volumes the monitors sound great.
They don't have a huge amount of volume indeed. I keep it at 3 o'clock (probably few +dbs) in a home studio. Frequency response is quite good, depends a lot on the room treatments.
Quality-price I think is good for an entry level professional monitors to start making music with professional equipment.
Always make sure your chain is balanced in quality: mic, interface, monitors etc... (not something cheap with something too good)
Happy with it!
