Adam T7V Reviews
good for budget home studio
Adam sound warm and balance to me. super helpful when do mixing music production. And it has a reasonable price which is a good start for the first speaker. everything sound so balance with good clarity.
When you are having different output, T7V has both balanced and unbalanced inputs. Also controls for adjusting the overall level and the high? and low?frequency response are so useful when using small room.
OKAY
Too much on the Low End for pro mix applications, too much dip on the Mid End (also has to do with the powerful low end), Highs are Chrystal clear. Mid and Lows be fixed with a systemwide EQ.
Perfect for bedroom studios/small scaled applications. Stands with the best in the prise category, along with the HS Yamaha series.
They are close to HI-FI instead of Monitor
Compared to my Genelec 8020D , and friend ' s Yamaha HS 8 , T7V sounds like hifi , mid sounds a bit weak as well.
But the low end and bass are quite good, and the hi are smooth but it changed the original sound of some hi freq instrument such as crash ... however, it provides a comfortable sound pressure that makes me feel good.
adam t7v
So nice and clear!best for that budjet
Amazing monitor speakers
It's a great pair of monitors. These are my first monitors and I bought them for my home studio. When they first arrived I played some random tracks and I was blown away by the quality of the sound - it was very detailed, rich and neutral (no added high or low frequencies). I listened for hours and just couldn't stop - I could never before hear so clear and articulated cymbals while not loosing the rest of the sound spectrum. There's no sound distortion I'm able to hear. There's enough low end for my needs. I've used these monitors for a while now mostly for mixing my own high gain guitar-focused tracks. They are very transparent and allow me to hear every single mistake I make. For precise EQ of single instruments I prefer using headphones, but for getting the full picture of the track I use the T7Vs. If I can make my track sound good on these, it sounds great on any Hifi device I tried. I haven't been comparing them to other monitors available, because for my needs these are great and I'll keep on using them. Really amazing monitors.

very good monitor if you looking for something with excellence performance and low price.
Best in their price range!
It is a pity that there is no 6.5mm jack ....
In the rest, these monitors are brilliant, given their cost!
With the correct installation in space, give some incredible sound. I do not regret buying.
Sounds like it should cost a lot more than it does.
I bought a pair of these monitors as replacements for my KRK Rokit 8 Gen 1s. The difference in sound quality really is very impressive. The T7Vs sound accurate, controlled and extremely detailed, allowing you to hear absolutely everything in your mix.
The signature Adam tweeter gives you the distinctive 'silky' highs, and the woofer delivers tight and accurate bass. The mid-range detail is superb. Placement of sounds on the stereo sound stage is rock solid, with a clear phantom center. I could not hear any unnatural lumps or dips in the frequency response.
They really can easily compete with much more expensive speakers. I had that experience of being able to hear things that I could not hear before with my KRKs (and they even appeared to beat my AKG headphones for detail). At work I use Neumann and Genelec speakers, and these really do compare favorably with those top end models.
Build quality is excellent as far as I can tell.
Downsides? Well these do a great job on the bass, but you may want to add a sub if you work primarily on bass-centric music and want to hear the ultra low end clearly.
The bass and treble room correction EQ controls are quite rudimentary; you don't get any of the advanced correction features of higher end monitors. Not a problem for me, but if your room requires lots of correction then you may want to consider different models.
I didn't have any problems with the rear bass reflex port, but some users may experience issues if they have to place these speakers very close to a wall.
In short, top-end monitors for a low-end price.
Best monitors in the price range without a doubt but...
These are some amazing studio monitors for the price I have to say. The sound is very clear and punchy. Low end is tight and sub heavy, highs are crisp and smooth. I have been using these for about a month now and I'm pretty happy with them. The build quality is decent as well. But they do have some things that I really dislike in terms of design itself.
#1: On/off light is on the back, not the front. What's the point of this light if you can't see it? Really annoying that I need to go to the back just to check the status. Many other brands in the same price range have this. It's Just a stupid decision imo.
#2: When turning the volume knob on the monitors it lightly crackles when playing music through them. This is on both units so I'm sure it's the same on all of them.
#3: Back ported bass ports. All Adam's previous models have been front ported, why change now? Their PR rep claims it's to keep costs down? This doesn't make sense because all their previous research and development has been with front ported models. Changing now does not make sense 'to keep costs down'. Their previous 'budget' model the F series had this, so all the PR talk about doing this to keep the cost low is simply not true.
#4: Only one balanced input. An extra TRS input would have been nice. They keep saying this is to keep to cost down, fair enough. But why can a lot of other companies that make models in the same price range do these things but not Adam Audio?
So all in all, great monitors sound wise. But with some ridiculous design decisions for sure. Their previous 'budget' series (F series) had both front ported bass ports and an essential on/off light on the front so it's really stupid they decided to drop these features. I would have
easily paid ¤50 to a ¤100 more for these (imo) essential features.
Love this monitors
I bought this for my home studio. I do a small recording of my riffs and some tracks for my son's youtube video. I had KRK Rokit 8s and it sounded so harsh on guitars then I moved to JBL 305s, they are ok but lack of clarity and bottom end. I used a subwoofer to compensate the low end.
I saw this on a youtube video, I was on the market for the A7x and I thought I give this a try since I'm not a pro. Haven't seen or read any other reviews about this monitors, I trusted it because it's from Adam Audio.
Tried to play some music first and It sounded that a blanket was removed from the speaker compared to the JBLs I had. I plugged my guitar and did some tracks. I am using an amp modeler and it sounded like the real deal to me, from cleans to high gain it sounded clear and I have to disable my subwoofer because there's already the low end I am looking for. Also tried it with a bass guitar, it sounds punchy and articulate.
Very happy with my purchase. I would recommend this, great value!
Great sound at a great price
Very happy with these speakers. Very clear with good stereo imaging. Slightly scooped in the mids but nothing seriously detrimental. Bass reproduction and accuracy was better than I was expecting without a sub. Highs are crisp. Honestly a great product at its price, both enjoyable to listen through for completed projects and accurate enough to make changes when working.
