Highly recommend these headphones!

I find these headphones excellent in my home studio. I use them every day. I like the idea that you can disconnect the cable and have the choice of coiled or straight, for your own preference. They are very comfortable to wear, even with glasses! The cups are really soft. The sound quality is very pure: nothing added, nothing taken away.

Overall I would recommend these headphones for studio work.

Best price/quality out there

Would recommend it to everyone with a budget of ~¤100.

Mine broke after almost a year unfortunately, but it is covered by warrenty.

Further the quality is supreme and the comfort also.

The best sounding headphone yet. I can listen to every single instrument in a song. Very balanced. Specially people who like metal, thrash metal, alternative rock songs will enjoy every single instrument crisp and clear, for hours, without any stress on ear.

This headphones definitely live up to their reviews, solid build, and nice natural flat frequency response, definitely the best i've heard in there price range. Great pair of headphones for a bedroom producer.

Excellent headphones, just not for wearing for long periods of time

FIrst of all I'd just like to say how much I love the audio quality of these headphones, you can easily define and pick out the highs, mids and lows.

I was using bass-boosted headphones up until now so obviously there is a lot less bass when it comes to studio headphones.

Pros:

? Amazing audio quality

? Great soundstage considering they're closed-back headphones

? Replaceable cable, which is one of the main reasons why I bought these headphones

Cons:

? They're not particularly comfy for wearing for long periods of time (upwards of 2 hours), this may just be because I have big ears as other people I know who own these do not have this issue

That's my only criticism of these headphones, if you're looking for low budget headphones with amazing audio quality then you've found them!

A very underrated pair of headphones

These headphones are not only comfy to wear, but sound as good as the trumpet serenade welcoming your ears at the pearly gates of heaven!

The leather pads work wonders for the weak skin around your hearing organs as they softly but firmly place themselves on top of the surface, no to little fatigue at all after hours of wearing them!

As most headphones these will start sounding better and better as you play more sounds through them, so you'll kind of have to ''tune'' them in to what they're properly supposed to sound like.

The frequency response is smooth and flat and very detailed, easy to spot new details in your productions that would otherwise go unnoticed, I even hear lots of small things in my favourite tunes I never would have without them.

All in all definitely a good buy!

Great Headphones, definitely would recommend.

Very impressed by these headphones. Use them for studio recording and mixing. Sound is near perfect for me.

They do fit comfortably, however if I was to be picky I wish they were a tiny bit lighter. Wouldn't recommend falling asleep on a long haul flight with them on your head.. My neck was in bits! This of course shouldn't put you off buying these, their comfort is improved from their predecessors without a doubt.

I definitely would recommend these headphones. Great price for what you're getting. Would also suggest checking out the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro headphones. Close in price range, comfortable, and also has great sound. No need to worry though, both are fantastic buys. Don't waste valuable music making time, decide and buy either (or both like me)!

Audio-Technica ATH-M50 X

I have bought this headphones for listening some music on my ip6 and playing electric guitar via head amp. Tight bass and rich tone scale very impressed. For listening music i suggest a mini amp (fioo etc) it gives it's full potentially. Highly recommended.

High quality headphones

They are comfortable, the have an incredible frequency response, they are not too big and not too hot when wearing for a long period.

The rotation feature is very handy, as you can fold them and easily put them in the provided bag. Plus they come with 3 different cables and plugs.

These headphones don't cost much considering the great quality they offer. I'm very impressed!

Best closed-back Headphones!

I already had the previous M50 edition. Not the X. I don't have to say much for their sound. They can go really loud withoud get distorted. They are relatively flat, even they are a closed-back design and everyone in the studio wants them. The new edition sounds identical, but it also provides detachable cable, softer pads and both coilded and straight cables. Couldn't be more pleased.

ATH-50X: great sound, good quality!

M50x headphones are well-built. In my opinion, they are perfect for the music production at home. the M50x can be used without any listening fatigue, they?re comfortable enough to wear all day.

M50x headphones comes with three detachable cables in the box (for even more versatility): the curly cable, the 3-meter straight cable and a 1.2-meter cable.

It would have been nice to get a hard case for these headphones... After all, I was surprised at the great sound of ATH M50x considering the modest price.

Superb audio quality

These perform really well over a large variety of music styles. I tend to listen for long periods and I had no problem whatsoever with their comfort.

Outstanding

I have nothing to complain about these. I had never spent that much money on a headphone before and I bought these to use with an eletronic drumset (TD-12 brain and drum-tec shells) and they sound amazingly better than my previous one that I had already considered expensive (~80 euros)!

They are very comfortable to wear for long sessions and I use it whenever I can. They also come with different cables and an adaptor from 3.5 (normal headphone plug) to 6.3 (like a guitar plug, for who doesn't know).

Just be aware that the cables that come with it are not exactly standard as the side that goes into the headphone itself has some rubber work to fit securely inside the plug hole of the headphones. That gives some added stability if you are moving around so the plug won't come out but sacrifices the reusability of the cable. But that shouldn't matter, really.

An added plus: they fold very nicely for traveling.

2 in 1!

I use them in studio with handy 6 meter cable and later on a gig with a coiled one. So practical and they sound awesome. Love the way how you fold them and put them in a handy bag. ;)

Not only for studio - for DJ also

I did a gig with those headphones - as a experienced DJ I can say, that headphones are great, for DJ use a little bit too much of highs, but everything else is perfect!

Built quality is A+++++

Comfort of use is also A+++++

On pictures they look very big and classy, but in real life they are beautiful!

excellent high quality headphones

I have been using these headphones for almost a year now, for recording and also as reference for mixing in my home studio. The clarity is so good i have listened to a few of my favourite albums and discovered sounds i never knew were there !

The detachable cable cords are very useful and make them very versatile.

Besides the sound quality, which is excellent, when using headphones for mixing, comfort is a very important factor, as you will be using these for many hours at a time, and i have to say these are easily the comfiest headphones i have ever worn, no pain whatsoever after 4-5 hours of constant use. When recording it must be noted that these do leak some sound as they are not completely isolating so don't have the metronome too loud when recording vocals.It shouldn't be a problem however if you keep the volume at a reasonable level.

They are robust and well made and can take a few falls without any noticeable damage to sound quality,my pair has taken quite a few hits and they sound just like they did the day I bought them.

In conclusion: great headphones that are a class above anything else in their price range whether you want to use them for mixing, recording, or if you're just an audiophile who wants to rediscover music these are the headphone to buy

There are sounds in my music productions that I didn't even know they existed untill i heard , an omnipotent boom of a voices and different sounds through the headphones!

As a profesional musician i give them a 10/10

Clear sound above all

It's hard to get a better set of headphones for just over 100. I've used this set for tracking and even mixing, and am indeed very please with the results. The 3 cables are a big bonus. A bestseller for a reason.

Amazing headphones.

I am absolutely delighted with these. I am honestly impressed every single time I listen to music with them.

Disclaimer: I don't have a huge amount of experience with high end headphones, the best I've had previous to these was just a ~?40 Sony pair. But you know quality when you hear it.

These are very balanced headphones and perfect for general listening or even monitoring, if you're on a budget.

The bass is deep and punchy with a nice thump and the treble is clear and crisp. I can honestly say I can even hear the nuances of the instrumental arrangement in songs with a lot more clarity.

You'd be mad not to get these. Everyone should have a pair.
