Can not get better that this for the pirce.

One cannot get a better preamp for the price.

They do more than enough of a job with my babyface.

I mainly record a solo classical music with this preamp, because I am a student and cannot afford RMEs or anything similar.

If I need to work with ADAT anyways, this preamp does the job perfectly.

Moreover I am not so stressed with break downs, because I can just buy another one of the same! I always compare the sound quality to available professional recordings (CDs from Deutschgramophone for example) and since I am using the inputs of RME Babyface for the main mic system, one can not really hear the difference as long as one uses high quality microphone.

Be honest and consider if one really needs preamps around a thousand euro, if one cannot afford.

Just start with this affordable preamp. They do their job perfectly.

ADA8200 Ultragain

I'm pretty happy with the preamp and I practically both it as an extension of my Sound card. Does the job pretty well.

It's great!

I've been using the ADA8200 as an ADAT expansion (duh) with my old RME Babyface. Worked wonders, no need for setups, all I had to do was connect the cables, identify the new in- & outputs on RME's driver and boom, done!

Cost-effective product

I bought it to extend the audio interface. Sound quality costs money, but this product keeps costs to a minimum and gives you good input. Recommended equipment for beginners to veterans.

Good for the money

A very cheap option to expand your channel inputs.

I use this product mainly to record drums for non-professional recordings. It enables me to expand the 8 channels I had, to 16.

Pros:

- The obvious pro is the price. It is an extremely cheap way to extend the number of channels you can record.

Cons:

- The build quality leaves a LOT to be desired. I have no idea what kind of QA is done of the build of the product, but the very first time I picked it up and packed it to bring it to my rehearsal space, I got quite a deep cut on my hand due to the incredibly sharp edges on the front panel. Those edges are sharper than many knives!

Behringer ADA8200 Ultragain

Amazing product. You cannot go wrong with the quality build, functionality, and the price. Worth every bit of the price and more.

GREAT EXPANSION UNIT FOR UMC1820

Perfectly compliments the UMC1820 - in fact they are built to work together and that's exactly what they do!

great build and solid features.

Great value

Very good converter for the price. I love the output routing capabilities which more expensive brands don't have. The sound is fine as well. Cant be beaten for the price, especially if all you need is a device for output to monitors and headphone mixes.

Good preamps

I used ada8200 in recording piano, harp and voices. Exellent preamps!

Good value

Very good for the price. Cheap way to get another functional 8 I/O to your interface. Would be good to have the option of two ADAT ports at 96kHz but does the job!

Cool extension

Works very well with ADAT, plenty of extra connection

I'm using it with my Behringer UMC1820 and it's perfect!

If you're using a quality audio interface, like RME let's say, then you'll get the same quality from your instruments through this one (except for the case of microphones - you also get phantom power for them).

The build quality is really nice. It feels solid and also looks nice with that red. It's almost double in length compared to my UMC 1820 audio interface, but it's not a problem in my current setup (they are installed in a Millenium rack).

All the inputs are located on the front, might be a good thing for you, or it might clutter a bit your setup.

The knobs feels a bit cheap for me, but they are fine overall.

Käytän ulostuloja summaamaan DAW:in BUS kanavat analogimikserillä ja sisääntuloilla nauhoittelen syntikoita. Thumbs up! :D

Works perfectly with my Saffire Pro 40

Great to have another 8 inputs into my focusrite Saffire Pro 40 and works seamlessly. Cannot fault it.

Great for adding inputs

It is great for adding inputs, I am using it in combination with. my Universal Audio Apollo Twin.

It was very easy to setup as well.

Cons (Nothing what implies on its performance) - Behringer could have added some 'marks' behind the gain knobs so it would be easier to find / mark the settings.

I needed 32 inputs on my DAW, so I bought 2 of these devices, together with 2x UMC1830 (connected via optical cable, using ADAT)

I'm using a mac, and I didn't need to install anything to get this setup "up and running", just connected it, and made an aggrate device, that was all. I can happely record multiple synts, guitars, trumpet, violin, saxophone etc ... at the same time, with a minimum of lag !

Good value for money

I normally don't like Behringer and prefer to invest a little extra for more expensive brands, but the next item in this category is the Scarlett which is much more expensive. I use the Ultragain to expand my mic inputs on my Scarlett interface for drum recording and it works well.

Only cons:

1. Phantom power is either on or off for all channels at once.

2. The rack attachment things cannot be removed. I mean, you can unscrew them, but there is no cover underneath.

Impeccable on its price

So you got 8 decent mic/line inputs and 8 decent outs. Surely it's nowhere near "professional standard" of >110dB conversion, but it's so usable and so cheap, especially if you just need the line ins. A great product from Behringer!

Does exactly what i wanted it to do

This is the best one you can get for the least amount of money. The only thing that is lacking is pads on the channels but that is no problem if you have more channels at your disposal with pads.

Sounds great, Very sturdy construction and an absoloute bang for your buck
