Behringer's scores

I am more and more amazed by the quality of BERHINGER and this little measuring mircophone is as good as the one from SONARWORKS which costs twice as much

As a calibration microphone, it is an affordable microphone in terms of price performance. but don't expect a microphone-specific calibration file or a document. because these microphones are uniformly fabricated products. there are no special calibration files. Naturally, it does not come with a calibration file. For this reason, do not waste time searching for calibration files on the internet. Because these reports are specific to the microphone. When you add this file to the measurement program, the program analyzes the measurement made with your microphone according to this calibration file. If you have such a more detailed expectation, I would say take a look at the upper segment counterparts. This is the only difference from its more expensive competitors. If we collect it, it will work clearly. Someone who knows his job can do very good measurement and acoustic calibration.

Worth the money

Cheap, but good enough to make measurements in the room.

90% of the time, this is the only thing you need

If you're not conducting very scientific calculations then this mic will work just as well as the other mics that are worth 10x more than the price of this. I know many professional acousticians who swear by this mic. The mic comes with its own hard case, foam windscreen, and clip. You might need to scour the internet for its calibration file though.

Perfect for the use ( studio Room EQ )

I used this microphone while designing my home studio and, for the price, it really did the job ! Really handy little microphone there ! a no-brainer

Good but still missing a profitable feature

Bought this mic to correct my room eq before knowing the SONARWORKS products. Needless to say, this mic isn't compatible with sonarworks array of mic profiles, so the equalization with sonarworks will be done not in the proper condition. The mic is pretty good per se, very flat response even for the riddicolous price it's selled. BTW if planning to work with sonarworks, i suggest to buy their mic, which is essentially the same as this one but with a calibration profile that can enhance the quality of the room EQing

Perfectly flat response.

Excellent microphone for strings and room mics

Good for comparative measurement

Good value. Doesn't provide a precise and flat response, but its great for comparative measurement.

It's a Behringer

It does what it is supposed to do, do not expect high quality and accuracy. Take into account that most of them have a little bit of high shelf boost which could be compensated for with off axis aiming, and few db roll off bellow 50hz.

Need a bit more amplification.

Very satisfied with the product

I am using the product for sound measurements and system calibration.

It works as advertised. We are getting very good results in combination with AFMG SysTune and Scarlett Solo 3rd gen.

Highly recommended.

Really great Mic

Very good build quality & box, very flat freq response, especially for the low price.

Used for home calibration

Considered the price I was impressed by it's quality.

I measured my room in order to find reflections and low frequencies modes and it worked like a charm.

I don't know if it's good for extremely precise venue measurements but for what I did it behaved quite linear.

It comes in a nice hard package too, so you can carry it around if you want to measure something on the road or simply record sounds with a somewhat linear microphone (the frequency response is given with the microphone itself).

It also includes a windcap.

Same Results as XREF20

Although using an average profile, it gives completely the same result as Sonarworks XREF20, the smartest choice for Sonarworks!

Works wonders on Hi-hat

I brought this due to its specs being very suited towards a Hi-hat and figured I' give it a try and it works wonders on my durmkit as a Hi-hat and as an overhead , it also works well on acoustic guitar.

Brilliant value

Can't complain at all. Got the mic to help me acoustically treat my home studio and had no problems with it, seems very well built for the price.

The protective case was also a nice touch for storing it away until I next need it.

Great mic for the price!

I bought the ECM 8000 to measure my room but sometimes I use it to record other stuff as well. Apart from a somewhat higher noise floor, you can get really nice sounding stuff in noise applications. The omnidirectional pattern gives a very natural sounding representation of the sound source and you can have really interesting results by experimenting with the distance as the proximity effect doesn't exist.

Great for the price

The ECM8000 was a perfect addition to my setup to give me a visual on what's going on on my stage while mixing monitors.

Great Measurement Microphone

This microphone has helped me measure and treat many rooms over the past years! It has quite a flat freq. response which is essential for a measurement mic. for the price, there is no other product to even come close!

Best Quality-Price-Ratio

There is not much to say. They did the job and the Quality-Price-Ratio is the best.
