Perfect!

Before this product i'll use my processors sound interfaces. But this is way better. There's no latency, no cracked sounds, no clicks and no need to install drivers. It's working on Windows and Mac perfectly. Plug and rock.

Great Little Interface

The U-Phoria is a great little interface. With 2-ins and 2-outs, the Input levels are controlled by 2 individual channel Gain Pots. There is a Direct Monitor Selector on the front and on the far right, a Volume Pot. This volume pot controls both the L/R output, and also the Headphones, so be cautious when switching between the 2. A 48v Phantom Power switch is also available on the back, allowing you to use Condenser Mics, along with a USB port to connect it to another device (PC/MAC).

Depending on your requirements, this 2x2 could be too small for your needs, however, it could also be just perfect. I am using this as my interface between my Laptop, and my PA System in the studio for playback only purposes, and I don't need it to do anything else. An overcomplicated or larger interface would just be a waste of money.

A point to mention, is that it doesn't add or take away any sound. It is clean. Some interfaces add colouring to the sound, making it more bassy, or toppy, both of which, in a studio environment are bad.

If you are a bedroom musician/engineer looking for something small, simple and clean, then look no further :)

I would recommend this product.

Perfect for Studio Mic / an external interface

I have this interface for more than a year now and have been using it every working day, almost 6-7 hours a day with an external microphone (XLR, phantom powered) and external speaker, connected to a MacBook Pro. The connection works flawlessly, I detach and reconnect it a few times a day and the system always switches to the interface without a problem and it has been working without any issues.

So far, I'm very happy and worth the price, specially if you compare it with more expensive alternatives with similar functionality.

UMC22 review

Thats maybe the best audio interface for newbies in sound recording or for bloggers.

Thats some reasons why:

1.It's very cheap, that why every student could easily buy it for her/himself

2.Price-quality ratio - the best at the moment

3.The easiest way to start your own musical career

4. It's very easy to use and doesn't require much experience in using audio interfaces

So if you want to start your own music / voice acting career without a big investment - UMC22 is the best option for you.

Record two instruments simultaneously

The Behringer U-Phoria UMC22 is, quite simply, the ideal USB interface for recording the human voice or a single instrument.

Easy and intuitive to use, works great with Studio One.

That'll do

Pros:

It looks cool, feels pretty decent, has all the features you are expecting for the price

Cons:

there aren't any plugins for it, like at all. You gotta use ASIO4ALL, and this plugin isn't the most convenient one. But still, couple of hours, and you FINALLY have quite a good sound for just 40 dollars.

Large amount of background noise when in use

Been having a lot of problems with my unit. There is a hissing sound along with another high pitch sound. This got described to me as "being at the dentist" and "vacuum cleaner" This sounds are still audible in the same way when the mic is unplugged so it is not related to my microphone.

Not useable

Didn't include the USB cable it said would be included, so I can't use the product.

I do not recommend buying this video card for recording musical instruments. The electric guitar is recorded in very poor quality, even special drivers. This video card is suitable only for recording from a microphone, it does not support the rest well.

Good interface for little money

It works stably on Mac OS, on Windows there are difficulties with drivers - the manufacturer recommends Fsvzh fl, but the interface does not work with them stably. There are also drivers, but some kind of crackling appears on them during playback. In general, a good interface, metal body, phantom power, lightweight and compact - you can take it with you. Very good for the price.

Static sound makes it unusable

I had high hopes for this budget audio interface - all I needed it to do was to record my guitar onto Garageband. Unfortunately, every time I would play the guitar, there would be this loud static sound that I couldn't get rid of. I tried different programs, different cables, earphones etc but the problem was still there, so I guessed it was the interface. There was no workable solution to make it usable, so I sent it back.

Its 50 dollars

Not much to complain about. Obviously, it's not the best. It's a bit noisy and doesn't have MIDI I/O. But for $50 it does the job. I have a nicer Audient interface. Honestly, no one would hear the difference. But..... the Behringer also is not replacing my Audient. Great interface for starting out. Not good if you use MIDI gear or have a low output mic.

Stable device. Unstable drivers.

Behringer uses a generic ASIO driver for this device. So a lot of newbies face a lot of problems to get started with this device. Once you are all set up, this is not a huge deal. For Mac users, this is not an issue.

Other than that, it does what it says. Decent sound for the price. Good build quality.

The perfect thing for home recording if you don't have a lot of money.

I just wanted to get an audio interface so I can have some fun making music, and this thing was it! Of course, you could spend some extra 50€ on a focusrite, but for me, this is more than enough. The clarity is decent, not much hum, the build quality is really amazing for the price and it's great fun! If you're planning to get this thing for recording instruments, I think it's great. If you're gonna do some basic post processing, it's going to sound great no matter what it's recorded on. I was a bit skeptical about this product, but it really is the best thing you can get for this price and I was pretty blown away by how much of a bargain this was.

Good for price

I first tried it on a new powerful computer. It recorded well. I tried it on an old computer, it didn't work. I made many productions with that old one using M-audio

Direct Monitoring is a plus

Good audio card, for its price

A good map, they say that it is very similar to the native driver, so I immediately downloaded another one, it is easy to find it in Internet resources. I use it in the programs "cubase ""guitar rig" I use the instrumental input No. 2 (bass guitar) and the output under the headphones, in the output under the headphones you can connect both the audio system, as well as Electric Guitar Combos. For such a cost, I do not regret that I bought it, but for those who are important, take into account 16 bits here.

Good interface

It is my first external audio interface, so it is difficult to be objective. I would say that this interface is very nice and provides different features for that money. I like its build quality. It fully performs its job.

You get what you pay for

I bought this interface for mixing with my monitors, but I shouldn't have bought this for that purpose. It creates a lot of noise because of the power imput which will most likely come from a PC which brings its own noise through the interface.

It's so light that I have taped it to my desk, otherwise it will just fall off. It does the job fine, but it isn't worth more than the price. As a long term investment I would not recommend this product and buy something substantially better for just 100 quid more.

Does what you need

I just bought this to record some of my guitar and starting off with the build quality (My biggest concern)... For such a cheap device it has a very nice mass and feel to it. It isn't obscenely heavy but certainly appropriate and doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart. Port quality and stiffness is good. One thing I would like with this interface is a input, headphone and/or Speaker output dB meter. Primarily for the outputs because you don't know if there is any signal output. My *only* other slight issue was with the ASIO4ALL V2 drivers. You need to download the ASIO4ALL driver but preferably not the beta and must select "offline settings" in the setup wizard. Then you need to open ASIO4ALL Offline Settings and actually select this interface. I had to google that as it didn't say that any where.

Besides all of that. If you need something to record an instrument and/or a microphone for cheap and you want to be of good build quality, I can recommend this.
