Behringer UMC1820 5-stars Reviews
Very nice budget audio interface!
I bought this interface for recording drums and it does it's job perfectly! It has enought inpunts to record a 5 piece drum set + cymbals. So I'm happy with it!
It's my main interface now!
For the price, all the features it has makes it tough to beat. The pre-amps aren't amazing, but I've done plenty of recordings with it and no issues.
Has never let me down
This audio interface has never let me down and I'd like to say it's a joy to use.
It does what is says
Amazing performance. Clear sound and able to handle all the tasks for a multi track recording and also used for IEM by having 10 different mixes in the outputs.
Excellent for the price
I have multiple items plugged in and ready to pick up and record at a momentâs notice. Preamps are clean with decent per channel features and versatile output options..
The best budget 8-input audio interface
I bought this audio interface for drum recording and I am happy with my purchase. The first build quality seems decent and has the basic features you'll need for recording.
I recorded drums for a few songs and the tracks sound good. I used the ASIO driver for recording in my DAW settings and there were no problems with latency or sound glitches. I think this audio interface is the best budget 8-input interface at an affordable price.
Best in its price range
The umc 404 and this 1802 have never ever let me down. for years i've used the 404hd and it has never had 1 disfunction or problem. Sound is transparant and overal super nice. I've been to bigger studios who loved my recordings not knowing that it was recorded with these audio interfaces. Can't say anything bad about them.
In Behringer I trust!
Clean sound, good mic amps, really does the job
Great preamps, great controls, solid build
Had this for 2 years. Spent a year in the studio for live recordings with the band, and now a year at home for my computer. Still works great, the mic preamps sound great, the pots are fluid and solid, the connectivity options are great.
I wish phantom power was per-channel. As it is, you can activate phantom for channel group 1-4 and channel group 5-8, but not individually. In the grand scheme of things, it's not a huge deal.
WOW!
WOW! for years and years I have had to mix down my live rehearsals and recordings to stereo because I had far too few inputs for recordings.
Although definitely not cheap, In comparison to any other product on the market from any company, This Interface far exceeds my expectations. I am using it with the ADA8200 to get 8 more preamps and I love it. Already have used it to record 6 shows, and plan for many many more in the future.
Great for price & use
I've recorded drums a few times with it and it's a. 100% value for money
simple, good, and easy to handle
Highly recommended!
Solid!
The Intarface is user friendly and enables high quality captures via mics (Drums, Sax and Voice in my case) and allows direct connection of the guitar and bass from the pre-amps via XLR cables. I am very satisfied with it.
Value exceeds price!
I've been using this for a year. It does its job quite well, despite its low price. No noise or latency - at least not to rehersal / demo recordings. I use it with Logic/Mac.
Easy to use. Does what I need.
Phenomenal budget interface
Purchased this to stick in a road case for live gigging -- this thing is a beast. Really solid and well built, my only issue is one of the inputs is a little scratchy and inputs 1 and 2 tend to cross talk when the gain is hot.
Otherwise, the preamps are great with a low noise floor, the headphone amps are nice and clean, and I haven't experienced any issues with recording or playback in the many, many hours I've used it since. Highly recommend this for anyone looking for a budget, multi-input audio interface.
Amazing Audio Interface for recording live drums
Fantastic choice for getting all 8 mic inputs into my iMac with Logic Pro.
Easy to set up - no drivers needed for Mac - excellent audio recording results. Highly recommended!
Amazing
Bought this during lockdown, so now about 2 years old. In my shed its survived 2x cold winters and 2x warmish summers (in England, so you might not agree with the definition of warm and cold :)). Was used to record my drums over lockdown and was running into my laptop using Cubase 10. I now use it with mics to hear my drums through in ears with my phone to play along to, so no need for a computer. Really handy for that.
Unbeatable value
Had this in my studio for sometime, great workhorse.
Excellent sound quality, handy 2 xlr inputs on front with 6 to rear . Phantom power on all inputs. 2 headphone jack with individual volume control.mono to stereo button. There is no other 8 channel interface that I could find of this quality anywhere near this price point.reliable easy to use with many useful functions for the small studio engineer.
Good introduction interface for Drummers
Through the pandemic, I wanted to do some drum recording at home so took a punt in purchasing this interface.
For what it is, it does the job well for the amount of inputs you get.
Reliable and expandible
All in all you get what you pay for.
I haven't had any punctual problems or issues with the interface. All inputs wor correctly and I've expanded it with the 1080 so now I have 16 channels. Minimal latency.
The sound is pretty tame and unremarkable, nothing other worldly, but perfectly usable for home production.
Very hard to beat for the money.
Very good for multitracking
I use it for multitracking together with ADA8200 and it works great. Not the best preamps but for line level signals it works like a charm! Wouldn't expect it for the price.
