Great and reliable

These strings represent great value for money. They last well, hold tuning and sound pretty good too!

I use them on my Epiphone Les Paul Standard.

All in all I am a happy customer :)

Excellent tone and quality

I use them for years on my guitars and on the guitars I do setups. They have great tone and last very long without loosing timber.

I would definitely recommend them.

Better than previous strings

So I'd had my new guitar for about 6 months and had just moved into a new flat when I got a lot of string buzz on the high 'e' string. I assumed the neck had got messed up in transit and that I'd have to replace it or have some sort of costly setup done on it.

As a chance I thought I'd change the strings; what do you know but after changing the strings, all the fret buzz stopped (which in hindsight should have been more obvious).

These strings are pretty bright sounding which I like, they really accentuate the high end of my pickups. They were easy to work with, pretty cheap and nicely packaged. I've had this set on for a few weeks now and they're holding up well, even with some aggressive tremolo use they've refrained from becoming dull. In the future I'm going to use these over my previous first choice of Ernie Ball.

Really good strings

Amazing strings that have become my favourites. I always play with them on my Strat and on my Tele. They last very long but needs to be changed after maybe 4-6 months to keep the nice tone. For the price it's really good. If you want strings that will hold longer you're gonna have to pay the doubled price, it's simple as that.

Strongly recommended :)

Daddario EXL120 review

Sound: These strings sound amazing. I used another brand before I got these and when I put these on it made my guitar sound so much richer. I have a cheap guitar but these string make it sound incredible!

Quality: The initial great sound from the strings lasts about a week but they stay really clean and vibrant for up to three months from my experience. They have lasted longer than many of the really expensive brands and I would buy these way ahead of them. If you're looking for sound on a par with the expensive sets that last even longer for a much cheaper price, these are the strings for you.

Great strings for great playing

What to say about Daddario strings really :) everyone knows they are great and I think the same. So far I only used Daddarios so cant compare them with any other brand but they sure sound far better than the generic strings one gets on most newly purchased guitars.

I use this on my strat.

Smooth and brilliant strings

D'Addarios are my strings of choice for years! After testing different other brands and their regular sets, I always end up with D'Addario.

This set is perfect for guitars in standard tuning and offer clear and transparent sounds and very nice playability. Compared to the EXL110 set, this one is less fat sounding but bendings and leads are easier to play.

The quality is very good, I never had any issues with D'Addario strings!

I use this set on a 7-string guitar in combination with a NW064 single string. The guitar is tuned A# F A# D# G# C F. It's not a very common tuning and this set gives me the tension i need

I suggest this set especially to players, who wants to have a smoother feel and increased playability on their instrument!

exl120 d'darrio stringsi

i have tried/used many makes/types of strings over the years........but now i use these...i find them to be the best for me,what i like most about them is that they don't take forever to stretch/tune the strings in,i can usually play without any more stretching within an hour!----i like that.....and they last a long time before you have to replace them, what more could you want!!---incidentally,i also use d'darrio on my classical guitars!!......thanks..........

Favorites

These are my favorite strings. I found them to withstand blues bending and corrosion much more than any other (uncoated) strings I've tried. They are a bit more tense than for example EB Slinkies, but still much less than some coated strings like Elixirs, making them great for bending and more aggressive way of playing, although if you are going to be particularly hard on them, it'd be better to go up to 10 gauge.

Duarble and great benders

I've been using this type of strings for more than 10 years now.

Never failed to deliver good sound and they can keep the quality sound after quite a lot of beating. I like them on my mahogany guitars with Floyd Rose.

Bright and easy

I have been using Daddario strings for about 4 years and I have found that the EXL120 fits me best. I mainly play a BC Rich Mockingbird with Floyd Rose and the strings resonates perfectly with the solid ebony body. They are warm and bright and extremely easy to play. Perfect for metal stuff.

Extremely recommended!

The typical E standard strings

I used these strings on my Ibanez RG821, that is in E Standard tuning. Over the years I have used many brands but finally settled for D'addario, they have the best Price-Quality feature, last for a long time and have a great bright sound.

Since I don't like very high gauges, 09 to 42 is perfectly fine for me.

The bridge pickup I have for that guitar is a Seymour Duncan SH-6 Distortion, passive pickup, and even tough it is a distortion pickup I can get very beautiful sounds with the clean channel, all thanks to these D'addario EXL120 strings. These should be the standard for every guitar player out there.
