Elixir Nanoweb Light Reviews
Always coming back to elixir
Basically, I melt metal with my corrosive sweat. In literally 15 minutes of barely touching the strings, I leave spots of fresh nickel strings and the next day they're black. Elixir is one of the 2 brands that can resist my corrosion. They never rust, but I do however still have to change them after 1-2 weeks (or more if I'm not playing that much), because they get a scratchy feel from rubbing against the frets and it feels weird. But then again, every other brand gives me that plus tons of rust so yeah.
Great Great Stuff
Once you use elixir you stuck with them
The ones that keep turning back to
They might be a bit harder to bend but they have nice round tone and they last for ever
Very good
These strings need no explanation. They last me for months, have less squeak while recording, stay in tune and sound fresh and bright for a long time!
yeah, I like :)
smooth, precise playing possible
they have a silvern look
These are my go-to strings
I don’t have a lot of money so can’t keep changing strings every months... slap a set of these on and they will last you 6 months!
The sound quality isn’t the best, but can’t go wrong with how long they stay stay clean for. NOTE: do not bother cleaning these strings, they’re designed to keep grime and dirt off themselves, harsh cleaning chemicals and pressure from rags will only rub off the protective layer even faster
Good
Good, but Optiweb version is much better, this is a bit slippery and the coating flares a bit on the wound strings on the picking part of the strings unlike Optiweb version of Elixirs
Amazed with them!
Bought these strings together with my new guitar and I have to say that they feel amazing and they sound amazing aswell. Never had that sort of "premium" feeling when playing until now.
Verdict: Definitely recommend them, high quality product!
most offen strings on my guitars
Great strings, with decent film. Great sound, long lasts. I have use them for years.
The strings sound really great
The strings sound really great, and most importantly, for a long time. I change them about once every six months, when I have to play very often. If you rarely play the guitar, then in a year these strings will sound wonderful.
The timbre is pleasant, a little soft, and there are no unnecessary sounds.
The best
I try different brands, but come Always back to Elixir
Best strings
Elixir Nanoweb, and not only, are the best strings have on your guitar. They are not ageing at all so you can keep them on the instrument several months in a row.
Long lasting strings
they are good solid strings that last long
my go to
I have quite a collection of guitars & if I had to change strings every few months for all of them it would cost me a fortune...
I like the feel, less harsh on my fingers though can be a bit of a compromise on tone this I consider neglectable. On some axes the stay year without need for a change, keep tune & don't lose their springyness
Long lasting
Right out of the box they sound just like new uncoated strings, they have that zingy sound.
After 1 week they unfortunately lose the zing a bit but even after half a year they still don't sound "dead" like uncoated strings do. They still have lots of harmonics and sound nice and bright, just no zing.
Some people actually don't like zing so these strings would be perfect for them. I personally like zing, but I still think these strings are worth it as they will never go completely dead. I've been using the same strings for 6 months and don't plan on changing them.
My strings forever!
Long lasting strings and it's really great if your fingers or palms are always sweaty like mine. Just a bit expensive but ok for the value.
I bought this as a gift
Most of the comment are "They last forever" and "they have a great feel to them" so i guess they are great :)
fret problems
These strings have the property that they last a very long time, but over time the coating on the underside of the string comes off and then damages the frets, you quickly get dented frets.
Since I sweat a lot, I find that other brands don't last very long (say, between 1-3 weeks before they're completely corroded) and these last a very long time and I don't find any significant tonal differences in comparison to other brands, at least enough to justify the cost and work to change the strings constantly.
These are my main strings on all of my guitars
I've never had any issues with Elixir and their strings. Their coating always lasts a long while, this includes heavily playing on a nightly basis. You can't go wrong with a set of these.
