*The standards*

the next best strings I use after ernie ball, ernie ball have a bad not break easily but if you play continuously and enough a string like for example the acdc parties the upper strings break a lot, I use these elixirs for the first time and I am particularly pleased

Best string I've ever played

I recently bought a new guitar which came with these nanoweb 10s. I think they are my new favourite string.. They are like butter to play on. I cannot fault them.

Last longer, sound great

I've been using Elixir for years now.

They were great when I played for hours every day, they are great now when I don't have as much time to play.

They sound great for longer and they stay in tune.

Alternative that is good

As an alternative to 42-9, I did try these ones.

Good tone and durability.

Pros: Great tone, no need for regular tunning. Durable!

Cons: Wish they had more variety.

Possibly best strings ever

Great strings. They sound nice and bright and still feel like new, even after a few months.

Best strings

Naturally, those are the best strings I have ever used. The price is indeed relatively high, but they sound crisp and fresh form months

The best strings on the market

I'm using Elixir strings since 2005. Never broke, they don't smell weird after a few weeks, like other strings that don't have a coating.

They last longer than non-coated strings.

Cons:

You can rip off the coating with your pick, and then it looks funny.

Great Strings for Professionals and Beginners

These electric guitar strings have an excellent midrange and bass response and feel very smooth under the fingers. The tone is excellent and thanks to the Elixir coating, the strings last for ages without needing to be changed. I use Elixir strings on all my guitars and the Nanoweb coating is my favourite of all. A great investment if you want a better set of strings!

I've been using the Elixir Nanoweb strings for the past 10 years and honestly can't ask for anything better. I've had zero issues with them and they last a long time.

Perfect for a humid environment

Durability:

I spent most of my life living a very dry environment, (Calgary) where stings on an unplayed guitar would last a year at least. On the guitars that get played everyday I used Blue steels for over 20 years and would get about a week out of them with everyday use, but after moving to a much more humid environment (Munich) I found my strings on unplayed guitars lasting no more than a week, and only hours on guitars I play everyday, even in my humidity controlled studio.

Elixir strings sound 99% as good as normal strings (objective) in those first few moments of new strings and stay sounding that way for a long time.

I play everyday, hours a day and these strings eliminate the distraction of rusty/crusty strings.

Feel:

Elixir strings feel great, I thought it was snake oil until I tried them out, but they feel awesome, not quite slippery, but much less friction than uncoated strings.

Sound:

They sound great.

Like I mentioned above, in the first moments after a string change you might notice that they are a tiny bit mellower than brand new uncoated strings, but after playing them in, these actually sound brighter than uncoated strings because that stay clean and rust free.
