Ernie Ball 2220 5-stars Reviews
Strings that you put on the electric guitar for playing
Six metal strings, one for each position on the guitar. Different thicknesses for different pitches. They are the right length which is very practical.
Always go Ernie
I always go with Ernie Ball Strings, they rarely if not NEVER break, would recommend these over most other guitar string brands.
goood
i really liked them on a gibson scale, in D standard
Ernie power
First time putting these on my harkey benton sc custom'll and i am blowing away with how good they sound and feel i have tuned down a half stepand its like there made to be that way the tone is out this world
Cool partner for a Strato Tone!
I used to use Ernie Ball strings since 2008, they are made in a very good quality, they do a great work on stage but in studio too, reliable and lasting!
This particular set it is really comfortable and it gives you a really cool tone, rich of treble and it has a great balance of mid and bass frequencies.
I'm using this set with my Strato and there is no equal to reach the typical "Strato" tone.
My no1 string choice since first time tried
I have to say the best strings I have used for guitar in my whole 30yr playing history. I tried these power slinkies few years ago first time, noticed a bit easier playing but mostly I have experienced zero failure in practice or live use since then. I have put power slinkies now to my all guitars.
Pure raw power
If you play heavy and looking for a sting that just wont break - you found it! You can pull as much as you wish. Play whatever you want. Tune them down to the limit and yet the mighty sound keeps its quality.
Simply said it is a must if you play heavy. Go for it
Perfect
Best strings money can buy!
It's Ernie Ball! Great strings for a great price!
Just awesome
Awesome strings, besides standard I also use them detuned to D and they are working very well.
Heard stories that D'Addario last longer, i can not say this for sure, but i can definitely say that brand new, when you put them on the guitar, they have more harmonics than the D'Addario strings, they just sound better when brand new.
The best and only
The first time I bought this set of strings was over 10 years ago and never looked back ever since. Of course, I tried some other brands, because you can only tell about something that is the best if you tested their competitors but in terms of sound and durability I never found a better set of strings. I always have a few extra packs around and already have this on all my guitars.
Highly recommended!
great strings
These strings sound clear and articulate, as usual with ernie ball products. My favourite brand.
This is my set
This is the set I know and love, yes they're just strings I recommend trying different sets and gauges until you find what you like. Comes in a deliciously enthralling purple package!
Good Choice
I found these strings to last quite a long time without losing tone.
I live near the sea and was expecting them to tarnish quickly. Very happy with these strings.
Classic rock sound for a Les Paul
Been using these for 20 years with Les Pauls and SGs and always come back to them. They're cheap, consistent and sound great.
Proven classic
If you have a 24.75 or 24 scale guitar, play in standard tuning and like good tension, then this is the most optimal string gauge. Playing comfort, brilliant sound and long life. The strings are strong, withstand even the strongest bends and fantastic solos!
Good for Eb Tuning
Use Power Slinkies on my Telecaster for EFlat tuning and they work great.
Ernie Ball, so HELLYEAH
Since I got these, I swapped them for Ernie Ball's 2221 set, just because I wanted something a bit lighter for my Jazzmaster. But whatever tension you're looking for, it's always guaranteed that Ernie's are gonna satisfy. They're great strings, with a lot of definition and last for an appropriate time. Whenever I buy strings, Ernie Ball's are the only ones I consider...
Though I must admit that, as good as they are, the cool packaging design does play a part in my choice.
Does that make me shallow?
Great sound
These strings really provide a good sound, especially if you prefer to play on some of the lower tunings.
Great strings for the price
I use this strings for last 4 years. They have great sound, and feel great. Only con is they lose color pretty fast. Definitely recommend this.
