Perfect for the occasional drop tuner

I'm really happy whenever I buy a new set of these for my guitars. I love their sound when they're fresh.

I like to play a lot of drop d with these strings. They're perfect for that. It's like they're meant to be played this way. The lowest I go with this set of strings is down to drop c before I feel like they lose their sound.

Everything in that range is absolutely perfect.

One thing I don't like is that they seem to get greasy a lot sooner than other strings, but that could very well just be my sweaty hands.

Can't go wrong if you don't want to tune them down to ridiculous tunings.

Best strings for hard rock

I like to play hard, lots of bends and hammer ons, and these strings are just perfect

Love the feel, love the quality

No cons, my fav guitar strings

Best one

Just classic. I've been using Regular Slinky for 25,5 scale and Power Slinky for 24,75 scale for a long time.

Great strings

Just your run-off-the-mill guitar strings. Can't go wrong here. It's a double buy from me

Ernie Ball quality

What can I say? They're made in the USA, are great quality, play well, they're priced right and overall just what you'd expect from Ernie Ball.

As to how this gauge feels: It's a nice step up from Regular Slinkys in string tension and they tune to drop D and D standard fine, however if only playing drop tunings I would suggest getting a thicker set of strings to avoid loose and jangly strings, fret buzz etc.

Ernie Ball for life!

Been using these strings for over 40 years, just moved up from 10s to 11's as I am doing less shredding, they are the best.

Keep going back to these

For some time now I've tried different brands of strings, but in the end, I return to these. The sound is full and clear and they sound alright even when they finally start to oxidize. (I'm really lazy in between gigs)

I use these for my SG and it's a great combo.

Classics for a reason

These strings just work. Great tone, long lasting, and they have a very pleasing decay over time. Lots of strings go dull in a way that sounds just ugly, whereas these simply seem to "mellow" or "soften" in a way that is equally (to my ears) pleasing as a set of fresh strings -- albeit with a different sound.

good for rock sound

lesser bright than some other strings. Suond great for rock. On my gretsch it's just working.

I've been using these strings for one year, for many genres and styles, but especially for rock, hard rock, alternative, some metal...I really like their sound, powerful basses and nice highs in the solos (I use them on a Epiphone Les paul studio) .

Their life is long enough, I play and practise guitar at least one hour every day, and I change strings approximately every six weeks (before the sound starts to change too much)...until now I've never broken one

Pros: Good sound, endurance, price

Cons: no one at the moment

Perfect for hard rock

Lower and bold sound. And don't be affraid, your string would be broken only by robocop.

Works as intended

I've been using these strings for years, no complaints. Can't compare them to others though, so I could be missing something.

... not much more to say.. part of the tone I look for...
