Harley Benton G212 Vertical Celestion V30 Reviews
Flawless !
The quality of construction is awsome ! Sounds great with my Monoprice Stage Right 15w ! I highly recommend !
Best for the price
Since I knew there was a Harley Benton cab with Celestion v30, I feel like I had to try. Today it arrives and I just want to say that it worth it. Price/ quality. 100%
This is impossible to beat for the price
Sounds great. Mine is built really well too
Can't believe the price, but believe the quality
I've had this cab for a little over a year I believe. It is the only guitar cab I own now. It can handle plenty of power. My power amp is 300 watts on my pedal/rack set up and it's never once faltered when I've cranked it. It still sounds great at low volume when I practice at home. It got to me in Texas in 3 days - no lie. All the way from Germany. The box was beat to hell (Thank you US Customs) but the packaging inside held and protected the cab. It's vintage 30s everyone. We all know the sound, and they're the real deal. The only reason I don't give the quality a 5 is the tolex is thin (I personally don't care) and the grill cloth frame is very flimsy. Don't expect to be able to pull it up and put it back on more than maybe two times. I did it once and my bottom right corner doesnt connect right. But who cares?? It cost me 100.00 less than what buying two V30's would cost me. And now that they have the Greenbacks I will be buying one of those! I'll probably check out the bass cabs as well.
You get what you pay for
Yes it has real vintage 30 speakers Yes it is plywood The construction is pretty poor though. Baffle unsupported, flexes a lot. Speaker screws and anchors plainly fell off the first time I opened the cabinet. The whole box is nailed and not glued and has zero internal bracing. Pretty weak and poor construction. And it does sound bad, I don't know if it is the weak construction of the box or the baffle flex but the tone is muffled. I relocated the very same speakers to an MDF palmer cab and sounded way better honestly. Just not a good cab, plainly a cheap option for those who can't afford something decent.
Amazing Sound, Okay Build Quality
The thing sounds amazing, but the material will wear down a little within a few years of use.
Best 212 cab
Sound is stellar, build quality is excellent except for one thing, the front grid has a crack on one side, it’s only noticed when you pull out the grid, which I do regularly for recording or changing speakers
Top Notch
I was really impressed how well the cab sounds it beat all my expectations but I was even more impressed how fast it shipped and was in perfect condition. I live in the states and it got to my house in two days I will definitely be shopping here for any of my guitar needs from here on out. Thank you
Great cab
Very good build quality, great speakers. Would recommend.
A bargain
Sounds as it ought to, superb carrying handles makes it feel not so heavy.
Great value!
Nothing to complain about, sounds good, managable form factor.
Impossible to find a better choice
Choices for verticle 2x12 cabs are not as plentiful as they should be. Luckily this cab is available, super affordable, well built and well designed.
I was considering a mesa cab and the electro-harmonix option but, this one had them both handedly beat, in terms of price. This cab also had them matched in terms of features. It's hard to say "no" to a Vintage 30 loaded cab that is more affordable that the speakers alone.
I have been using it with a PRS HDRX20 or a Sovtek Mig-50 and it's been delivering the goods on every gig. I couldn't be more pleased.
Excellent Cabinet
I've had this cabinet for several months now, and I have no complaints. I don't even think the speakers are broken in yet, and it sounds amazing, just running a Joyo Meteor at 1/3 volume. Highly recommended.
Great cabinet
Love this cabinet, it delivers great sound for a relatively cheap price.
It looks good, sounds amazing and feels quite sturdy.
If you're looking for a v30 cab i see no reason to buy any other brand at this point.
Fantastic
Just buy it. You’ll be happy. It’s like kittens and rainbows for your ears.
This cab Kicks!!
The two Celestion speakers alone are worth the price of this cab. I have this cab hooked up to an HK36gm and it rocks totally.
Thanks H.B. for a job well done!
Great Cab for an Outstanding Price!
Overall this cabinet has a solid construction with a solid tone.
Packed with 2 vintage 30's this baby knows how to rock. I hooked this cab up to my new Soldano SLO Mini head (30W SS) and it has plenty of sound, isn't the weight of a 4x12, it has handles for carrying, and as someone who loves angled vertical 2x12, this beast was killer for the price.
Definitely would recommend!
A Lot Of Sound For The Money
2 Celestion Vintage 30's in a cab for this price is nothing short of amazing. Granted, it's not the best cab construction in the world but for home use this is perfect. I'm used to playing through a 4X12 so I'm already thinking of perhaps getting a second Harley Benton Vertical 2X12 cab and pair them up.
I don't know how they can sell this for the price they do! Amazing. I have been playing through this for close to 2 years and its still the best cab for the price point anywhere!
It's amazing price, even if shipping to USA is crazy high
Pros
-inexpensive cab loaded with vintage 30s
-sounds amazing: I had a 412 loaded with seventy 80s and it did not sound near as good.
-construction is much more solid than I thought. A lot of YouTube reviews say that the construction isn't great and they wouldn't gig with it but if you aren't tossing the thing and are treating it with care (like most things you should do) then it should last a long time.
Cons:
-thw only con is that the grill cloth is so thick that when I try to mic it up, light barely shines through. I have to mic it after removing the grill cloth.
