Don't hesitate - Buy one

I bought a Marshall M412 last year which came with Eminence AX75s. It was absolute rubbish. The woodwork and finish of the cab was fine but the AX75s.......words fail me. They made my Blackstar Series One 100W amp sound like it was solid state ! ! A truly epic rubbish product.

So I bought this cab to replace it on the grounds that at least it came with top notch speakers not some low budget garbage like the AX75s.

What a contrast. The Harley Benton cab kitted out with its Celestion V30s is FANTASTIC. Great sound, my Blackstar sings through this cab. Great finish, nice plywood cab and to top it all, it cost about the same as 2 aftermarket V30s so fantastic value for money.

Buy one. Don't waste your money like I did on big brands who trade on the brand to churn out poor products. Better to buy a house brand like this with good quality components

Cheap and GOOD!

I bought this on the recommendation of others, and I was not disappointed! This cab is everything you want in a 2x12: Cheap, great sounding, heavy & durable!

It is weighty, but this makes you feel more confident in its ability to last a while. Gives it that quality feel, I was expecting it to feel a bit more flimsy than it does. It sounds brilliant, I mean it does the job and its like half the price of an Orange cab for example. Excellent. I do recommend.

Perfect cab for metal

I love this cab, I played together with the 1x12" version which is open back. This one sits on the bottom and gives plenty of bass and punch. The palm mutes sound amazing. The 1x12 give more definition. The Celestion Speakers are awesome, although I prefer the GH-12. Overall, it's a good sturdy cab, loud and perfect for gigs

Good product, great value

Pretty well put together, finish is good and the handles makes it easy to carry for a 2x12 cab.

For the price I really can't find anything bad to say about this item, and to my ears it sounds great.

Bang for your buck.

Man was I shocked at the quality of this unit. In a good way!

There has been a lot of talk about these being a really great cab for the money, and it's definitely true. I can't say it's better than a Mesa or Orange, ( personal taste is the name of the game ) however it blew my mind compared to some other "higher end" brands for the price of this thing.

Regardless of Price though, I'd say it stands quite tall on it's own two feet in terms of quality and sound. If you are looking for a Metal 2x12 cab it's really worth every penny and then some. On a side note, you will HAVE to break the speakers in a bit. This is just the norm when it comes to v30's in my opinion, they are a bit harsh in the high end straight out the box, but once they are used for a while...butter.

Again I used this in a Metal capacity but I'm sure it suits many styles, given that you enjoy the Celestion v30 speaker.

Great build quality, great sound, great price. What more can one ask for?

Harley Benton G212 Vintage

This is value for maony at its best--you can hardly even buy 2 Celestion Vintage 30's in the UK for the price here AND you almost get the Cabinet thrown in for FREE.

I re-covered the one I bought in a stunning Alligator Tolex (expensive) and I now have a Cab that looks like its worth 4 times the price.

Won't use anything else

This is by far the bestsounding cab I've ever owned. I've previous owned some 1960s, Oranges and Blackstars. Great functions on the back and great sounding amp!

Two Celestion speakers for a fraction of what you'd pay for a brand name cab. Good solid construction, very affordable, if you're like I was and looking for a nice affordable cab, you don't need to look any further!

Bargain of the century.

When I first saw this Cab I was dubious, how can a 2 x 12 cab with V30's be sold for this kind of money?

Well it evidently can! And more to the point, it's a very good quality item.

2x 12" Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and 16mm plywood makes for a very good starting point with any cab, add the solid handles and decent build and your on to a winner!

There are things that could be bettered, castors would be a very nice addition and I felt the corner protectors felt a bit cheap, but when I finally played a valve head through this cab, it made any cons seem irrelevant, It's tight and punchy yet retains warmth and clarity, everything I was hoping for!

I play rock and metal in a number of bands, this cab is perfect for both styles - to the point I sold my 4 x12 cab, as this does everything I need in a much smaller footprint.

I believe this is the best priced cabinet on the market. At some point I will probably get a second one. - Very Impressed

Vintage 30s are sweet

I was shopping for a new cab to go with my Orange head. The own brand Orange ones were a little expensive but after shopping around a bit I found this cab which has 2 Celestion Vintage 30 speakers in it. For under £170. Incredible.

I took a bit of a chance - I'm usually pretty brand loyal - but it's turned out to be a good decision.

Build quality is decent, no loose joints or untidy tolex. As a gigging cab I can't see any problems in the future.

Sound quality is as expected. Once the speakers wear in they will be even better and perfectly suited to the style of music I play (heavy!!)

All in all, for the price, you can't really go wrong.

Good sounding speaker cabinet

I needed an extra cab to my 30W guitar tubecombo and found the Harley Benton G212 Vintage cab equiped with Celection Vintage 30 speakers. I use it in mono mode. This cab improved my sound and gave me a richer tone with a good bottom. I hade to increase the amps volume a bit but that also help improving the sound. The cab seems to be solid built but can easily be carried by yourself using the handles. There could have been rubber pads on one shortside and not just on the bottom longside when haveing the cab in standing position.

Excellent guitar cabinet.

First of all - the price of this cab is amazing. I have bought Celestion V30 speakers in the past and I know what they cost. I was expecting the cab to be of average quality and I was wrong. The cab is very well made, well damped and it feels completely solid. Having proper deep handles is always welcome on a heavy piece of guitar equipment so I was very pleased to see them installed here. The cab is closed back and has a pleasing bass response that an open back cab could not match. As a result it is probably better suited for rock and metal rather than clean jazz and blues. I own 2 amplifier heads (an EVH 5150iii and a Suhr Badger 30) and they both sound very nice with this cab. At the moment it is possible to spend over £1000 on a 2x12 guitar cab. This cab shows that it is just not necessary to do that. This is astonishingly good value and sounds brilliant. I have to give it full marks! I will never look at a more expensive cab again! The only thing I would say - it would be nice to have wheels on it for ease of movement.

Great value for money cabinet

I wanted to upgrade from a 1x12 cabinet to a 2x12 to try and get a fuller sound from my amp. So far it's been paired with my Blackstar HT-5 and has more or less given me the sound I was after.

The cabinet itself is very sturdy and reassuringly heavy. It would be difficult to lift if it wasn't for the recessed handles. Sporting two Celestion v30s it's undoubtedly the best value for money speaker cabinet on the market.

So far I've used it for both rehearsals and a handful of gigs and it copes brilliantly with both. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this cab paired with my HT-5 could keep up with our drummer even when he's going flat out.

I was going to say it's a great cab for anyone on a budget but it's actually just a great cab!

Unreal

For what you pay, this looks, sounds and feels fantastic. I'd recommend to anybody who wants a decent speaker cab but doesn't want to spend too much money on one.

Best cab for the money in the world !

If you want a budget cab seek no further.

Celstion Vintage 30's good build quality and for this price?

I can compare this 212 cabinet to my Bogner 212OS, the Bogner is better but not like miles better, though it costs more than 4 times this price.

Best value you'll ever find, maybe even second hand prices cannot compete with this, superb !!

Great value for money

I bought this cab mostly due to the quality ply construction (as opposed to MDF / fibre board). The cab itself came loaded with a pair of celestion V30s which sounded as you would expect. However, the real reason for my purchase was to swap the V30s out for neo-dynium speaks in order to create the ultimate lighweight rig. At the price of this cab I managed to recoup a significant amount of investment from the speakers which meant my total outlay was well under the cost of a stock cab from someone like marshall or orange however I ended up with cab with better physical construction and so light that I can lift it above my head one handed!

Im sure the cab works great as is but as a base for modding it really can't be beat!

Incredible Value, Incredible Sound

Awesome cab, so good it's replaced my 1960A below my DSL100H as it has more punch and a tighter bottom end. It also cuts through the mix better. And all at a stupidly low price!!

Highly Recommended

Update 24.03.14

Tone wise, this thing just gets better and better! The speakers are now fully broken in and it sounds fuller with more note definition. The only bad thing about the cabinet is how thin the vinyl covering is as it rips easily, but at this price, who cares!
