Harley Benton TE-52 NA Vintage Series Reviews
great guitar
This is my first telecaster style guitar. I think it is great. Yes it is on the heavy side, but I don't mind it. I had to do some work on the action but to set it up the way I like it. overall it is great, I think I will change the saddle for brass.
Amazing guitar for the price
Amazing product for the price! A quick set-up and it is as good as any!
Great tele!
Ignoring the the weight of the guitar, this is really a great tele. Specially the neck pickup, sounds great!
Great guitar for that price
As I wrote in header, it is very nice guitar, I have played some other guitars in similar price and also much more expensive gear and I don't regret buying this benton. One disadvantage that I've found is that wrapping is very hard to remove from guitar body - it is almost impossible to do it without taking guitar into pieces.
There's no catch
After buying, selling & trading a bunch of guitars I decided to try this one and...Its just better than other guitars 4 times the price .
The finish is just terrific. Tuners, bridge, nut and etc all do their job quite perfectly. electronics are great. All in all a Great Telecaster , vintage twangy sound perfect for mellower genres.
As a begginers guitar I highly recommend because its so comfortable and easy to play.
As a guitar for Pros I highly recommend it due to the fact its easily moddable and ridiculously cheap.
Love it
After a lot of research and reading on the net I thought that I should buy myself a T-Style guitar and if I really liked it maybe consider upgrading it at a later date. From the majority of videos I watched it seemed that this model was generally well built and excellent value for money with a great sound if perhaps a little heavier than other T-style guitars.
Anyway when it arrived and I strummed my first few chords it was love at first play. I'm not a great guitarist, but I felt comfortable with this model. The action suited me and I loved the tones it offered me. I look forward to spending a lot of happy hours in the future getting more acquainted with it. The only tiny negative was a couple of small scratches on the scratch guard in transit. It was thoroughly padded and well packed, but the plastic of the scratch guard is perhaps not one of the toughest components in it.
I love the chrome hardware on it and it actually looks a lot more vibrant and alive in real life than in the pictures. Overall a very fine looking instrument that is a joy to play straight out of the box. For the price a very good investment indeed and I will definitely be buying myself a couple more Harley Bentons in future (although my wife may never forgive me when I do :) )
Good but way too heavy
Had the Te-52 but gave it away cause of the hefty weight. Build and quality was OK but the 3 wood slabs that made the body were nowhere close enough to match and that also did not help me bound with the guitar. Overall, cheap guitars better be painted :)
Brilliant value for money, love it to bits!
Good guitar for that price
IMHO, this guitar is much better then Squier and etc.
Sound is very-very good (for that price).
And the guitar resonates so good (because of the ash).
But the main disadvantage is the frets. Wear out very quickly.
Very useful guitar

Best price/quality!
I think this model already a legend, as its build quality and sound it produces are so great! Love this one as it is, but I changed nut to Graphtech 5042 model
cheap no thrills, good quality
its perfect for its price, you get a thruss rod and adjustable saddles. I only use the bridge pickup, dont really care for the other one. its heavy. i compared it to my stingray bass and I think this guitar is heavier... it can be a little bit of a let down to start playing ,,,specially standing up...
Harley Benton TE-52 NA Vintage Series
I absolutely love this guitar! Wasn't expecting much for the price ($149 US) but was more than pleasantly shocked at how well set-up and ready to play this guitar came straight out of the box. I expected to do mods but it's perfect for me the way it came. Love the solid ash body and maple neck and fret-board. The tuners all feel perfect as in not too tight and not too loose. The Roswell Alnico 5 pick ups sound great to my ears. Great job on this guitar! This blows all other similarly priced Teles out of the water for value and craftsmanship. Waiting now on the SC 450Plus LD I ordered and hoping for the same experience. I will be purchasing more Harley-Benton guitars from you for sure in the future! Thank you again for not being greedy and providing such great product and price point we can afford.
A great tele!
I really love the look and feel of this guitar, and the sound is mellower than other teles, which I really like. The only issue I found with it is a small crack in the finish alongside the neck...in the clear coat.
Nice guitar, good service and fast shipping. Was packed solid, no injuries in shipping, will buy again, good company.
Great Guitar
For the money this is it. I did change tuners, bridge and went to 920 switch and pots but all in all this is a nice guitar.
Excellent guitar, Awesome tone!
I wanted something that sounded like a Telecaster. This does and more, It's a tone monster. Out of the box intonation, action etc were spot on. Unbelievable guitar for the ridiculously low price!"
Excellent product, beautiful and high quality
Fantastic Guitar
I love this guitar. The sound and build quality is outstanding at this price point. You really cannot go wrong with this purchase. The only issue I have if you even call it that is the weight. The guitar is a bit on the heavy side. About 10LBS. Other than that little gripe, I love it!!
A fabulous affordable Guitar
I am impressed. It is a great budget guitar. It has the things I expected from a telecaster. I will definitely buy another Harley Benton guitar
