Harley Benton TE-52 NA Vintage Series Reviews
Nice guitar
Bought for my son, who then changed his mind.
I was going to refuse delivery but never got the chance as UPS just dropped it in hallway and left.
So, I thought I'g give it a go, and it's a great guitar.
Not just for the price, but great full stop.
It came well set up, just needed tuning.
It compares very well to Tele's costing 4 tomes as much.
It's on the heavy side, but not a problem for me.
Impressive
Feels very well built. Setup is good, maybe string height can be lower but for me it's fine.
Compared to a G&L that I had to return due to wrongly cut nut, the HB feels better quality somehow. Feels sturdier.
Sounds are proper, nothing to complain about.
satisfied

Unbelievable guitar for the money
Sound is really good. I love the weight, heavy and sustain. This is better that fenders that cost $500+ Finish is really top notch. Bridge is solid, pickups have nice tele twang tone.
Flawless Tele-Style Guitar
Having watched many YouTube review videos praising this guitar I decided to place my order expecting to have to upgrade various components on this guitar. It arrived a week later and upon unboxing I was delighted to find that the instrument was flawless. I made a few adjustments to the truss rod and bridge to suit my playing style, used a small file to round over the fret ands and fine steel wool to polish them and it was perfect.
Previously reported issues with tuning machines seem to have been addressed and the guitar stays in tune even after using big bends. I don't feel the need to spend any more money on this guitar other than for a decent hard case.
This is quite a heavy guitar which some may not like but I use with a wide padded strap and I have no problems, in fact the weight gives the instrument an air of substantial quality.
For those looking for a good Tele-style guitar for very little money, look no further and if you do want to spend a bit more cash on upgrades this TE-52 provides the perfect platform.

Awesome I love my telly Harley Benton Beautiful Thank you so much , Great guitar Kind of heavy though Sounds excellent Good action Sweet as can be !
Extremely happy! Will buy from again! Amazing quality and attention to detail!
Great guitar.
I bought this as my first electric guitar after playing with my acoustic for a year. I was really impressed with the guitar straight out of the box. Frets were a little rough but apart form that it was good to go. It looks absolutely fantastic and well worth the money when comparing to other models in the price range. Excellent guitar - Would recommend.
Vintage Sound and feel at a great price
Super heavy vintage style guitar with a chunky c profile neck. It is a monster that sounds like a Tele, looks like a Tele at a fraction of the cost of a real Tele. Overall it is a good quality guitar. Frets though need polishing. Not recommended for beginners. There are other Harley Benton Tele models for them with slimmer necks and less weight.
Amazing Guitar, exceeded expectations.
I've had this guitar for about a year now and I simply love everything about it. You will be hard-pressed to find anything in the same price range as good. Initially served as a backup to my USA Fender Telecaster.
Now my Fender Telecaster is my back up to the TE-52.
Real telecaster sound with tenth the price
I dreamed a long time that one day I'll get one. Now I have it. My expectations were high, because everybody are giving such good reviews. And I'm not disappointed in any way. I like vintage stuff, guitars included. Also, I'm long time fan of HB guitars in general. And this is one of HB best achievements in T style section, I think.
Only downside worth mentioning - tuners aren't good. They look great on this guitar, but aren't smooth. Guitar feels great with those as well, but seems odd that such a good quality guitar has sloppy tuners.
Harley Benton people should consider swapping those for Kluson vintage tuners, for example. Vintage, not modern looking stuff. Don't care if this adds 50 or even 100 euros to price, I would've still bought it.
Belting Guitar
Arrived yesterday Blemish free and set up nicely.
Looks amazing in the Flesh a really pretty guitar it plays and feels excellent these latest models have really come on in Quality
Recommended cannot be faulted especially at this price
Surprised how good the quality is for the money.
I bought this guitar as a birthday present for my father. He's a bass player so I purchased this guitar for him as the price range is reasonable enough and the Harley Benton reputation is one that reflects value for money which is definitely fair to say. I was astonished to find that the fit and finish of the instrument is flawless. I plugged it into my Marshall DSL40c and the tone was far better than I anticipated, harmonics seem to easily scream from it which I did not expect at all. The neck has a comfortable, thick C shape reminiscent of a 50's tele and the pickups have a decent voice for the price. The only downside for me is that it's a bit heavy in terms of weight but its a big slab of ash so it's to be expected I suppose. I cant state enough how much of a bargain this guitar is. Very impressed.
Awesome Guitar!
I have a fender telecaster modern player, and this Harley Benton T-52 is at least as good. I like some things about it better. I do recording with this guitar.
I got this for the standard pick up placement and I was not disappointed, this guitar is just wonderful. I only needed to lower the bridge a tiny bit and it’s perfect. I never had to touch the intonation. Just perfect. Perfect finish, perfect pickups, perfectly straight neck. No sharp frets, with great harmonics. Wonderful sustain from the Ash wood body. The neck feels excellent too. With satin and not gloss my hand moves freely!
I can’t think of any way I would ever want to mod this guitar. I will keep it as is for as long as it’s mine. It’s kind of perfect. Two thumbs up! Five stars.
Just listen to it...

absolutely satisfied
Unpacked it, tuned it, and voila. Plays well out of the box.
The good:
- intonation is almost perfect out of the box, I won't even hurry with the adjustment.
- action is perfect to my taste (of course you might want to adjust it).
- the neck is comfortable (I know it is also a personal thing) and thanks god it is not glossy.
- the sounds are typical tele sounds, the pickups are nice and pretty hot.
- the pots and the switch feel and work all right. But time will tell
- Everything feels sturdy, and I can't find any serious construction problems or damages.
The bad (not really bad, just meh):
- Tuners are a bit meh, but they do the job.
- Stock strings are meh, but they are stock strings.
- Frets might need a little polishing, but nothing serious.
I believe, it will be a perfect work horse of mine.
Superb value
I bought this as a cheap travel guitar as did not want to take my best guitars away with me. However, although it is cheap it is an incredible guitar for the money. Minimal set up required and sound all round pretty decent. Although I bough this rather than the cheaper versions mainly because of the upgraded pickups, I may still change these at some point but otherwise nothing to complain about. It is heavy, but I like that.
Very good!
Regarding the tone build and looks it awesome! The only thing that bugged me is that i needed to remove the knobs and pickguard to remove the plastic from underneath the pickup and tone and volume knobs.
HARLEY BENTON TE52
I ordered this guitar because of all the excellent reviews it had received. It arrived well packed with the case I had also ordered and even though the outside packing was damaged on the inside items were spot on. The guitar itself is a dream, with the finish and the playing excellent after a minor set up.
Could not be happier. Definitely will buy another Harley Benton.
Magic Affordable Telecaster
Guys, I bought this guitar in addition to the one I already own. I have a Kramer Striker and wanted another guitar with singles.
I really liked the clear sound of the telecaster. Very intense. With overdrive, it sounds good, with a classic germanium fuzz, the sound just blew your brains out. With distortion, the sound turned out to be a little simpler, but here, probably, you need to choose a different distortion. For the price, this guitar is just a gift.
