Harley Benton TE-30 BE Standard Series 5-stars Reviews
This is better than I could have even imagined..
I have read all of the ratings and this is why I decided to give it a shot!
The guitar was shipped quickly and with great care.
When I opened the box WOW what a surprise the guitar was in fantastic shape no issues with paint or anything.
The one thing I am replacing is the tuners. This is a small price for the quality of the guitar. I currently own Fender Jazzmaster Ultra, Gretsch Nashville, and Les Paul Custom.
I realize it is not one of these however it is a Fantastic Value for the incredible price of $98.00.
The neck is fat and smooth. (Love it) the pickups well it is darn near as Twangy as a Fender for my money sounds great, this guitar will be with me forever! Thank you, Harley Benton, for making such a pleasant purchase.
My first telecaster
This is my first telecaster. I have been using it for over a month now. Good quality and build. I like the overall sound and different tones. Good for budget and beginners.
For this price it is the best guitar out there
Played it for 5 years until I upgraded to a original Fender, there’s really little difference that I can make practical-wise.
It does it’s job, looks pretty but be careful, it is not completely white, you can see the wood texture when you’re up close, but that’s alright. Amazing guitar overall
Better than the other brands
This guitar is way better than any T style guitar in the sub 350usd brands. The neck felt like hard rock maple and is sturdy. The body and finish is clean. for some reason my TE30 had pre-drilled holes that didnt go through the body. I knew it would be its next mod which i did 3 days ago and it made the guitar so much better as now it is more resonant and increased the sustain.
Amazing upgrade possibilities
I bought it for one plan - upgrade it ! :)
Ofc, out of the box its more than fine for someone who just wants a decent telecaster. Mine weighted 3.9kg. No issues with finish, quallity etc... it has a very thick fingerboard = will last for long time for sure. No shapr fret ends etc....
I upgraded it with lock tuners, black pickguard, bone nut, new pots and custom Tonerider pickups... its a BEAST :D
Amazing for the price
I've had multiple people compliment this guitars look and sound. When I tell them the price, they are dumbfounded!
Excellent guitars
These Harley Benton Telecaster guitars are the best bang for your buck you will find.
I use these guitars for my universal b or g bender system and all my customers are very happy with the product.
Incredible Value!
I've always wanted a Telecaster model to round out my collection. I extensively researched about every brand that offered one and came upon this TE-30 BE. I couldn't believe it was offering a maple neck and ash body for the price, but the reviews were overwhelmingly positive so I took a chance and bought one thinking 'Hey, it's just a back up guitar anyway.' It arrived packaged well and in perfect condition. It's such a beautiful looking instrument - no skimping on quality whatsoever. I tuned it up and WOW, I was blown away! The TE-30 plays smoothly with great punch and clarity. You're crazy not to pick one of these up and trust me, it's not going to be a back up guitar, I'm gigging with this thing!
Absolutely lovely!
Not my first HB guitar, so not really surprised to find this was a delight straight out of the box. Tuned it up and off I went. Excellent guitar and excellent value for money too!
An astounding guitar
I'm not where to begin really with this guitar. Okay, bought this and a Squier Affinity Tele thinking right it's a Fender so it's gotta have that classic twang I'm looking for, I mainly play country. And it kinda looks like Vince Gills '52 tele(!)
Wrong, the Squier is bad on so many fronts. I'll review that elsewhere but wow this HB is amazing.
More twang than the Squier, albeit slightly lower volume. Fit, finish and the overall look of the guitar is amazing. No flaws I can see and everything works like it should. Tuners for me are especially good, no dead spots - my TE52 has more dead spots than this one
Like it's brother the TE52 it's heavy so you do need a wide guitar strap so be warned
For €109 it's a crime not to add it to your arsenal and if your like me a Tele addict then you need one.
I have HB teles now from all the different series they have and this and the TE52 and the TE62 are the ones to go for. The lower TE20s WILL need work and effort to make them anyway playable.
Still baffled how they can make guitars this cheap and still kick Fenders ass on the way there
excellent!
reviewing this after having it for a few years, outstanding value for money, weighs a ton, great natural sustain, crisp pickup sounds, a real winner!
Great Budget T Style
Great value tele style guitar, ideal as a backup guitar or modding platform, there's not really much up with with this guitar at all, but at this price you can upgrade to your heart's content without your piggy bank getting too distressed. ... Just Brilliant Value
Great Beginners Electric
Wanted to start learning guitar for years, always loved the rock sound an electric can provide. So after saving up a bit I went for this one as I love the design of telecasters. Its very basic in its features but its defiantly handy to learn your way around the features that come with an electric guitar. Doesn't matter that its the cheap brand Harley Benton, it still sounds and plays like it could be Fender or Gibson
A great tele for someone who wants to try teles.
Great guitar for the price. I didn't like the neck pickup and change it. It was way too dark for my taste. But what a great guitar this is!
The quality of the guitar is unbelievable for the price. Tuners worked great, the neck is thicker than a usual tele, but feels good. You feel like you are holding a real instrument and not some toy from squire. I don't believe you can get that quality for 111 euros anywhere else.
Great telecaster with great price
Ok, so
For 90 euros this guitar is great! I'm advanced player and it feels good in hands.
Main disandvantages:
Frets need polish job!
In general guitar needs a very good setup, frets are rough, string height not good, nut (in my opinion stock is ok) would be better new from bone, tuner are good quality, holds tune very well. Neck is kind of rough, but wet sand 2000 grit paper can easily fix problem. Pickups are, for this price, realy realy realy good! I mean, man, like great clean sound, even beather overdrive, classic rock, sound.
It came with guitar cable (I didn't even try it because it looks realy bad) and some tools for neck and bridge saddles adjustments.
Cons and pros
Pros: Good sound, feels good in hands, very low price for tele.
Cons (my opinion): White finish is so thin that you can see wood grains (honestly not much of a problem, I think it look great, but many people don't like that), setup is very very bad. 09 strings are awful!!!
Great value for the Money
I've had this guitar for a few years and play it every day. It has stood up well to the years and have not changed a thing on it other than strings. It's well made and would recommend to everyone.
Great tele guitar.
Only drawback is the weight
Great guitar
I took a chance on this, having bought a cheap Les Paul copy before online that turned out to be not very good at all.
I wanted a cheap Telecaster and read the reviews on this one, which were very good.
I have to say I'm very impressed with this guitar. It looks far more expensive than it actually is. Playable straight out of the box with a quick tune up. Action is a bit high but not a problem. Holds tune very well. I would highly recommend this guitar as it's great value.
Excellent value
A great entry to achieve a Tele sound for little money
Amazing guitar for price
Top quality (not reachable even for cheap fender guitars), nice authentic sound. It's slightly heavy cuz ash is not alder :D But you trade lightweight to rocky sound with focused hi-end.
