I suffer from disc problems and have found the stool to be really beneficial as I almost forget that I am sitting with improved posture.

The build quality is excellent and the lever allows very quick positioing to get the correct posture. My only minor gripe would be that the seat whilst very comfortable is also a bit cumbersome to store and transport. It fits into my millenium trolley but not very comfortably. I also have a gator trolley and there is not a hope of the seat fitting in there with the stands.

All in all it is a great buy at this price to improve posture. Why anyone would pay so much more for other brands is beyond me?!!

Very comfy, incredibly cheap

Having had to sit through a couple of 3-4 hour band practices on an incredibly ancient stool that I have had since I started playing the drums, I was getting a lot of soreness in my back and legs, so I decided it was time to upgrade. The idea of a pneumatically adjustable drum stool really appealed to me, as it's very quick and easy to adjust, and I had bad experiences with memory lock style thrones in the past. Almost all the options in this category of stool cost huge amounts of money, £150+, so when I saw this listed I was both sceptical and excited. Having received it and used it on a marathon recording session the other day, I can definitely say that it is a huge improvement on my old stool, and is incredibly sturdy, well made, and most importantly, comfortable!

Ideal for keyboard player

This is an ideal chair/stool but the only downfall is if your a big lad the chair is a too small, ideal if your sitting in the one place for a long time. I would like to see a version with wheels / castors on it

Don't underestimate the power of a Stool!

I've been playing drums for more than 10 years and for some reason no-one ever told me to invest in a good stool... After multiple instances of back pain after drumming and frustration at feeling like my legs were never at a comfortable height, I finally looked into investing in a better drum stool!

This is by far the best stool you can get ANYWHERE! Yes you can pay three times as much and buy a TAMA or other branded 'Throne' but all you are doing is paying for a stitched label.

This is a quality product that is easy to assemble and will, I GUARANTEE, improve your playing more than anything else you could spend the money on!

Millenium DTRAB-1118 Drum Stool

I've been looking around for a good drum stool for a while and I came across this website and it's shockingly good prices. After some good consideration and looking around I decided to buy this stool, the delivery and service was 1st class and very customer friendly so for that alone I'd give them 10/10. Now onto the stool, the base is INCREDIBLY sturdy and I'd be highly surprised if it ever managed to fall over or break within the first few years, the stool is very easy to handle. Instructions are very simple as there really isn't anything to do apart from put the saddle on the tube which you think may be more complicated considering it's gas powered, but no simply remove the cap and screw the saddle on and tighten all the nuts. The saddle itself is very wide and comfortable and seatens my big behind very nicely. The only 2 downsides I could possibly tell about is that for me I'd like to be able to rise the stool a little higher although it raises fairly high but when I sit it kind of squishes away an inch or two, but it's fine and secondly the backrest isn't the most comfortable and efficient although it does the job. All in all it is a great stool and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone. 9/10

Millenium drum throne

Possibly the best throne I have ever used. I suffer from a bad back (as do most of us veterans) from years of lugging gear from post to post, so I was in the market for a throne with added back support.

I was quite surprised that for the reasonable price, I got such an amazing throne. It's firm, yet comfortable, and offers amazing lower back support.

I also play a couple of different kits, some of which are set up quite huh, and others which are set up a bit lower, so the fact that this throne is pneumatic, adds to the quality. I had it set up in less than 2 minutes, and I was using it for practice for 3 hours, and my back felt as good getting up as it did when I first sat down.

A must have for every drummer, especially those of us with dodgy backs.

I would highly recommend it to every drummer I know. Great guid quality, at a great price!

Throne

This is good!. Well made, solid but comfortable. The back rest allows a slight change in posture over a long session which is very useful for the 'mature' drummer, or one with back issues. Easy to find your correct height. Take care when lifting as the base is heavy. The saddle is much lighter, quite wide, but surprisingly comfortable.

I can only imagine that one would need to spend an awful lot more to get a noticeably better throne. I can easily get around a 9 drum/10 cymbal/hi-hat double bass pedal kit - After just coming out of an eighteen year retirement! - highly recommended.

What a difference- give your rear a treat!

For the last 35 years I have been using various round topped stools. I was perfectly happy with my last one, but it had the traditional way of altering the height whereby you have to remove bolts, break a nail, search for the dropped washer under furniture and then re-tighten the bolt. I did a few gigs recently where the floor was ever so slightly sloping, but enough to make the drums at slightly the wrong angle- so I needed to adjust the stool (but you are stuck with having to move 1 hole up or down- may be wrong amount) or adjust the drum hardware.

Anyhow, because it was so cheap, I thought I would experiment with a gas filled adjustable stool such as this one. Also, I wondered if the bike saddle shape might be better. What a difference! Firstly you can adjust the height exectly to where you want it, and can alter it at the touch of a lever if you want it slightly different. Also, unlike my old stool, it rotates very freely, so subtly movements one way or the other take less strain on your spine. The different shape is also loads more supportive than a round stool- I was surprised.

The one reservation I had about this stool is that it is leather, not cloth upholstered, so I was expecting it to make by bum hot and sweaty while playing- however I didn't notice this at all. I also haven't used the backrest while playing and don't think I will need to. I did try it out just to see what it felt like and it was very comfy, and if doing lots of double pedal work I guess I would find it very supportive. When I read in the blurb before buying it that it was easily detatchable, I expected having to remove screws etc. and having to decide whether I wanted it or not and probably having to stick to that decision. However, it is true! You just slide the bracket into its holder and tighten it at the depth you want it, and it is removed equally easily. You could even do it mid-gig if you wanted to.

I know I am in danger of sounding like a salesman for this product, but look at the price, look at the spec, and honestly the other stools on sale aren't worth a look in- I can't see the point of spending twice as much for less features. If in the name of balance I was to give my one quibble, when opening and closing the legs when setting up/down it isn't very smooth, and the T bolt looks a bit cheap, and there are a few slightly rough edges on the metalwork, but the end result is that it is really sturdy, so I can live with that.

As the cheapest option for a drum stool with back support, there are few points to complain about. The stool has a good height adjustment range thanks to its pneumatic support shaft, which also provides a slight cushioning effect while playing. The cushion itself is very firm, which subtracts a bit from its potential comfort, and the vinyl material can quickly become a sweaty place to be unless a towel is used as a seat cover.

The tripod legs are a bit finicky to collapse and open because the support ring doesn't slide up and down the shaft easily, so leaving the legs in the open position is a more hassle-free approach.

A small metal tab broke off from underneath the base of the seat upon tightening, but seemed to have no effect on the final assembly. Overall, great value for money.

Drum Throne

For the price, this is a great throne. The hydraulics aren't showing any signs of needing re-gassing after nearly three years use.The throne is very comfortable and the back rest adjusts to three different depths.

My only criticism would be that once the seat is attached you're stuck with it, so you can't store the legs in a flight case, although the backrest is fully detachable.

Perfect

This drum stool is amazing for the price. I can't believe the quality of the stool for the low price I paid. The legs are very sturdy, as is the rest of the build. It has a great wide leather seat with grooves for comfort. The back rest is very durable and the pneumatic height adjustment option is very handy for any drummer. Instead of having to unscrew the bots to adjust the height of this seat you simply lift the pivit bar which saves a lot of time and effort during a live performance. I would recommend this stool to any drummer.

I bought this Drum Stool for my 10 year daughter who only had a very cheap drum throne, the problem was when her drum instructor gave her lessons he ended up with his knees around his neck showing her how to play certain parts of songs. I also like it when I have a bash on the kit. We can now quickly & easily adjust the height of the stool. The only problem is when my daughter tries to adjust the height due to her feather weight it only goes up!!!

For the price it is fantastic quality, very stable etc, I am not sure you would use it as a touring throne due to it's weight (about 8kg), but for someone (drum instructors etc) who have different ages/heights of people playing the same kit you really can't fault it.

Would I buy it again YES!

Great stool for back pain sufferers

Fantastic value for money! a really robust stand with pneumatic gas operated riser. The back rest has a cheap plastic covering but the metal post underneath is plenty strong enough for my 90 kilo weight! I found the stool to be quite firm but comfortable and the back rests helps maintain good posture.

A superb quality drum stool for the money.

I had been drumming for the past 2 or so years on a small drum stool and I had found that after extended drumming sessions I had started to get back ache, so I decided to buy a stool with a back to it. All the well known makes (Mapex, Pearl etc) were in excess of £150 (some more like £250) whereas this Millenium was only £50 give or take a few quid. It was only about 15 mins to assemble and it was easily height adjustable. At first I found the way the seat was molded quite uncomfortable but after a while I got used to it (you have to sit in exactly the right spot on the seat, and if you go even slightly to forward, it becomes uncomfortable). That is really my only complaint, and given the tiny amount of money it costs and the quality of the build this is an absolute bargain and is highly recommended to those who want quality on a budget

Incredible value for money

I was a bit reserved because of unknown manufacture, but such throne with pneumatic machanism and back support simple can't be found in this price range. Quality is excellent, installation easy and features professional. The seat maybe could be a little thicker, but that is not an issue. This is very nice solution for any kind of drummer, from amateur to pro.

This stool is OK, Sturdy but have my doubts as to how long it will last, only time will tell.

I Can't believe that you can sell a product of this quality for the price that you do. Took delivery this morning - exceptionally fast service - quicker than some UK stores. Solid structure, easy to put together, comfortable, exactly as described. Excellent product for the price. Would recommend this to those looking for quality on a budget.

Millenium Drum Stool

Very high quality product, I've had it for a few years and it still looks like new, it just never breaks, the air pump is just of very good quality and the whole build overall. I would recommend Millenium products to anyone.

Throne Fit For Royalty

This stool is very sturdy, it doesn't seem to object to being de-throned and re-throned with frequency....!

The swivel action is swell, height adjustment easy and very useful, the back rest makes playing for those longer gigs more comfortable and less stressful on your back....
