Great practice kit!

Very happy with the kit :) One cymbal skips a hit now and then, otherwise everything works great! I am an experienced drummer and use this set to practice in my flat. Neighbor below does hear it, but says it is not too loud, if it is on a double carpet.

pretty good overall

I am a selftaught drummer, I play mostly for hobby but this set is perfect for beginners. complete, good sound and good playability.

Best drums for a beginner

best beginner drums anyone could ask for. from the premade selection of voices to being able to make custom kits. I haven't even fully explored the module so I'm still always surprised when i find out the many other features it has.

Very good for value

Bought this kit as my first drum kit and have not been disappointed so far. Everything works as it should.

Very good stuff

The only downside is the rhims are a bit high, and had to give some angle. Otherwise very good sound and quality, and very quiet, great for apartments.

Great value

I bought the Millenium MPS-850 kit beginning of the year, having before owned a bass drum pad from the same kit. The kit is nice and compact, the drum pads feel great and you can adjust them for tension as per your preferences. The module is pretty easy to use, the default sounds are acceptable for standalone use/practice.

It's great for using for midi drum recordings for example, easy to setup and map, although you might need to play around with settings possibly (kick drum often maxes out at 127 velocity even when playing softly or reducing the sensitivity)

The only thing I don't like about them is the cymbal pads. They feel like they have a very limited range and only a few velocity levels. The hi-hat control is also not great, as you need to open the hat slightly earlier than you would on an acoustic kit.

All in all they have so far served me great for practice and drum midi recording for demoing. Not the best kit out there, but I consider them incredible value.

Great DAW controller.

I decided to get this drum set because according to reviews both here and elsewhere, it was great value for money. And because of the many possibilities to set it up as a set of up to 6 drums, three cymbals and - most importantly, perhaps - because it has a real Hi-hat pedal system.

The setup was quite easy. Compared to an IKEA assembly it was really easy.

I'm so happy I bought it.

For my use in the studio to control virtual drums it's amazing. Really nice response that register ghost hits quite well, and my recordings are alive just like I wanted them to be.

The on board drum sounds are of course somewhat limited compared to let's say Superior Drummer and such, but if you're real concerned about whether you can use them in a live setting, you can check them out on numerous youtube videos.

If not, then you can create your own, or run the set through a computer on its way to the amplifier. Where there's a will, there's a way.

It's hard to imagine getting anything as good as this for this price anywhere, and if you're going to use it as a DAW controller; go for it. For rehearsal and live; I'd say go for it again.

Awesome Kit

Awesome drum kit, easy to set up and very nice and smooth to play.

Personally, I prefer mashheads over pads, and this kit proves me again why.

It also is really easy to connect with monitors and producing software.

Love it!

As a beginner...

I didn't know much so I decided to get a more affordable drum set to practice with and learn. To my surprise this set offers more than just "beginners" stuff. Its quality is far better than I expected and the sounds are good. It's compact and nice! I can't speak for the most experienced drummers but definitely, this is the way to go if you want low cost and great quality!

millenium mps-850

bought this recently to replace my older drumkit.

had a couple issues with the hi hat stand as i have a double bass pedal which interferes with it but i just have it behind the bass pedal, other than that i have had no problems and i am loving the feel of the mesh head instead of my old rubber heads.

in conclusion the mps-850 is a great drumkit for beginner and intermediate and even pro drummers.

Journey to the world of edrums

After a long period away from a drum kit (almost 10 years), it was time to revive that old passion. Never used an edrum set before and i have to say that I'm quite happy that I bought this one. It as all the elements that i was used to have, but it needs learning. It feels responsive enough to practice exercises, it doesn't feel sterile (that was my biggest concern), i can jam and have fun. The set looks sturdy enough to abuse, but it does wabble a bit. The hi-hat needs using to, there is a sweet spot that needs tuning. But, in essence, and not having any other experience to compare it to, it's a very good set, that hopefully will help me improve my groove.

Serious entry-level E-drum

This is by no means a professional kit, but it is a HUGE step up from the cheaper "toy" e-drums. The customizable kits are a nice feature and some good sounds can be gotten. I haven't tried using outside samples, but that could be a nice feature. I would say this is a great tool for quiet learning and practice! I think it could probably be used for occasional small gigs, too, although I don't know how well it would endure frequent moving. The kick drum pedal is quite decent, as is the high-hat. Overall a very nice kit for learners

Millenium MPS-850 E-Drum Set

Samples that are stored in memory by default are not one of the best, but it's not a big disappointment. Above all, I use external plugins that sound almost like classic drums. Playing the instrument is very fun. The construction is durable and the drums do not shake when playing. Only the kicker tends to jump a little. The connection of headphones to the 6.3 mm jack was a bit problematic. The connection was not stable. Fortunately, I use PC audio output. After all there could not be a better choice than this e-drum set! Despite all the shortcomings, I could not have made a better choice!

A lot of stuff for an entry level kit.

First off, the module kind of stinks. Only 60 of the 100 songs actually play, the last 40 do nothing but make weird noises when you hit the play button.

Did a factory reset, still doesn't work right. The 'Metal' kit does not function properly. Getting a decent snare is difficult. The hi-hat also does not function properly. I adjusted every setting in detail, and it still does not work right. Despite the lousy module and hi-hat, you get a good amount of pads and cymbals and it's built pretty well, so no complaints there. If I was a better drummer I'd be really upset, but being an intermediate drummer, I can at least practice with it until I get better, then I'll upgrade to a better module and hi-hat controller.

Overall decent.

This is a great quality kit for its price. The only objection I have is the bass drum mesh head. On day 1 of playing this the bass drum beater was already cutting through the mesh drum head, therefore I have to keep patching it up with external tape/bass drum beater pads. You might get away with tearing the bass drum head if you arent a hard hitter but if you are Id recommend the Allesis Nitro electronic kit instead. Its slightly cheaper and can take punishment with no damage.

Perfect for the price

A brilliant kit for newbies or experienced musicians. This will work with a double bass pedal

The only issues I've had are that a built in song will randomly start playing (I turned the song volume down so it doesn't matter now)

The high hat lead is a bit short and limits where it can be set.

It would be nice if the kit was a bit taller (I'm 6'5").
