Really good for the price

You get mesh heads, six drums, a "real" hihat and three cymbals for a low, low price. That is all you need to know actually. The set up was easy. The built in sounds is not good. OK for practice, but not more. I connect the kit to my DAW and use the Steven Slate samples. Then you have fantastic sounds and it is suddenly a thousand times more inspirational.

The drums seem quite solid, but must not be bashed. If you let your kids go ape on this, like my youngest, the drums will easily flip out of position and end up in crappy angles. Easy to adjust, but annoying.

Still...Happy with the kit and would recommend to any starter (who can´t buy acoustic witch should always be first choice) or seasoned drummers wanting a low cost, low volume home practice kit.

Good kit for lower budjet

I'm pretty satisfied to this kit as it comes with "real" Hi-Hat and it comes with 4 tomtoms and these was my requirements what i wanted from the kit. I used to play with really old Yamaha DTXplorers and this was huge upgrade for me to get this kit.

Playability is quite close to real ones but still feels a bit different to play in general. All tho when playing longer periods mesh screws might get loosen a bit time to time by vibration.

Sounds of the module are not the best ones but have managed to find some sort of good sound settings by playing with the different settings etc. There is plenty of different sounds to play with and this is really good option to have.

Quality of pads and all other things is good, but with the 10" pads i have been countered issues couple of times. Wiring is too thin and gets snapped broken too easily by the resonance. Usually it gets cut right after the shouldering and edge of that clue. This is only thing what i have found so far and call it like a flaw of the design. Cymbals are good in general. One of my crashes don't register hits time to time but works otherwise good. Ride's bell you need to hit pretty hard to get it triggered. Otherwise all rest of the parts are good and solid pieces.

In general i can recommend this kit to others without any hesitation. Especially if you have lower budget. Also its really good kit for the beginners as it comes with so many pads and cymbals.

Incredible value for that price!

Love the two crashes and the four toms, and above all - the hi-hat stand.

Crash rim is a bit wonky and cannot be muted with your hand very well. Hi-hat sensor isn’t too great (hard to get the open hi-hat right).

Module is great. Connections and ports are generous.

Great drum in it's class

Great feature and playability. The hi-hat is somehow tricky to set but that is something that can be adjusted.

It took me just few hours to assemble the whole set and given that this is my first time assembling the rack, it is rather quick. Recommended.

Amazing sounding kit

I am bit of a bassist/guitarist/pianist that needed a decent first electronic drum kit to learn and enjoy. While my band had a good drummer, having a set in my basement would allow all band members to jam anywhere without carrying equipment. The sounds are magical, sounds are eerily realistic to a proper acoustic kit. I have read some reviews state that sounds are not that great but in my opinion, sound quality is totally dependent on cable and amp at the other end. Debated between this, Simmons SD1250 and Alesis DM10Pro and glad I took a shot at a brand that’s unknown in US. Great shipping speed, well packaged and good instructions make this a fine intermediate kit. Well worth the money and more!

Mesh heads and hihat stand

Pros: mesh heads, hi-hat stand, kick drum, price

Cons: Built in sounds are not the best. I mostly use it with vst. Kick drum is nice, but I had to lower the beater below center, closer to piezo. If not, I had to really bang the drum (excuse the pun). Included drum pedal is pure trash but expected.

Conclusion: You won't find a better package with a hi-hat stand at this price point. Would buy again.

Great drums for begginers.

These were my first drums and they are very good. The quality is good, the feel of the game is cool. Of course, these are not the best drums, but they are very good. The only negative was the wrong bass drum sound on one of the presets. The rest is completely worth the money, especially if you want to try to start playing and not overpay.

Very nice kit, but comes with a big problem

You can use this kit for whatever you want, it has a nice ui, it Works well with all DAWs, The build quality is really fine but the hi hat is horrible. It’s not playable at all

A good kit for the price

I've been using this kit for about 5 months and I like it. I've not encountered any problems so far. THe hihat is a little bit flimsy but the other parts are sturdy enough

Great Build, Fun to Play, Great Midi Controller, Sounds Are... Adequate

At first I thought that this set wasn't quite adequate for real recording. But after getting acquainted with it, I've come to realize that the included sounds with the head unit don't really let the quality of the triggers shine. It's great to have the included head unit so you can simply plug into a set of speakers or headphones and go, but this set really shines when you plug it into a computer as a midi controller for your DAW. The higher quality samples in Logic Pro, for instance, really showcase the sensitivity of the triggers much better than the included head unit.

So Overall, I like the compromises made to achieve the price. If you need a good set of triggers, use the unit as a midi controller. If you want to mess around or practice, just run the included head unit. And if you need better sounds on board, upgrade the head unit to Roland or similar. It's a great and flexible package for the money, and by focusing on the quality of the triggers, they've lessened the risk of outgrowing the set altogether. And at the price, it even makes sense for beginners. Great package!

Works fine, probably the best for the price

The sound is ok. Easy to mount. The feeling is good.

Although, the hi-hats doesn't work very good. It's not the real feeling, specially when you play closed and then open, it doesn't work well.

I guess you pay for what you have.

GREAT IN PARTS

Good sound presets with many options to tailor the kit to your liking. Like many e drums can occasionally fail to trigger. Once you become conversant with the trigger sounds it is enjoyable to play and offers a lot for the money. Many have commented on the sound quality for the cost and that it looks part way to being a proper kit. Only time will tell with durability as mine is relatively new.

Amazing Drumset

I had this drumset for about 9 months now and I have to say it perfectly meets my expectations. It has great resposive drumpads and it has a versatile module . I personally use ezdrummer 2 but the onboard sounds and kits sound great!

Highly reccomend for beginners and anyone who is looking for a drumkit.

The only review you'll need

The Millenium MPS-850 is a beautiful compromise for people who really want a Roland TD17 but just don't have the money. Millenium might not be the biggest brand, this drum set surely speaks for itself. I've had it for a year now and will tell you about my experience.

- Kit -

The kit itself is simply gorgeous. I love how it does not look flashy but is still stylish. Furthermore, the responsiveness of the kit is good (not perfect, but what can you expect for this money). Mesh is a must and thankfully this kit is fully mesh. Lastly, I found the standing Hi-hat to be a must. I play regularly on acoustic kits and this helps for transition in between kits.

There are a few cons regarding the responsiveness:

- The cymbals are somewhat clumsy in their trigger curves. It takes experience and knowing the kit to maintain a smooth volume during a cymbal roll. I recommend downloading the manual and checking out the curves you can adjust for this matter.

- The hi-hat is not the best-built there is. First of all, my hi-hat control on/off switch broke off about five weeks in. Secondly, the hi-hat sometimes forgets you're playing closed which is somewhat annoying.

- The spring of my kick drum started squeaking a bit after two months of playing. This can be resolved by oiling it.

- Once in a while, hitting the hi-hat, drum and snare at the same time triggers the play-button for the play-along songs. I'll be in the middle of a drum solo and suddenly a backing track comes in. This is the most annoying feature but can be resolved by turning the volume to 0.

- Durability -

I play in a setting where I need to be able to set up my kit in as short a time as possible. I've taken the whole kit apart and put it together about 15 times now, and I can safely say that the kit does not show any sign of wear and tear. What's more, I can now manage to do this in less than 15 minutes which to me is remarkable. Some easy cable management allows you to be very quick. Tip: buy the gig bag with it.

- MIDI trigger -

I play with Addictive Drums 2 and Steven slate. Both works just fine with this drum and I have no trouble whatsoever.

- Drum sounds -

I find the drum sounds themselves to be quite bad, frankly. That's not to say I would find them better in a Roland TD 17 (I generally hate built-in kits I know I'm weird), but still. It helps that you can pitch and adjust all sounds to your liking but especially the more alternative genres sound incredibly unrealistic.

You can download samples onto your module but don't expect good results as the module can only hold about 15 samples. This means you can never sample your whole kit.

Nevertheless, the sound is good enough for practice and I'm enjoying the kit so far. Also: no wear & tear whatsoever.

- Conclusion -

Buy it.

Everything that is in the description is present, the dynamics are good, I really liked this drums.

Very good drums for beginners and intermediate drummers

This drum set has many features that usually cannot be found in the drums within similar price range. I highly recommend especially if you buying drums for the first time.

Absolute bang for buck

I bought this drum set for my son, and it is an absolute treat. To get this many quality features and pieces for around 500 euros is a steal. Setup is easy, i did it in around an hour and a half, would have been much faster if I ever did anything similar before. Interface is simple and intuitive, drum samples are my only gripe. There are many, yet most are trash. But with midi connectivity and being able to put your own samples, if is only a minor issue. Think of them as a platform that you can easily build upon.

One warning, I thought the snare drum is a different part altogether, because it is mentioned in manual as such, and thought that it was ommited from my package. It turns out all the 12 " mesh parts are interchangeable, you get 3 and can put them wherever you like.

Best e-drums for this price.

Great e-drums for this price. USB-MIDI, Import samples, mixer, AUX and more and more awesome features.. But.. Don't order to Russia in no any case. It cost 170€ in 2019. Now delivery in same place of Russia of MPS-1000 will cost 390€.
