Unstable

I've got three of these and the upper arm is terribly hard to keep fixed in place. The same goes for the part keeping the microphone upright. Bring some duct tape if you are using this stand during a gig. If you've got enough money to buy a more expensive stand then I'd recommend it.

Light-weight

The handling is ok, but it's very light weighted. The screws are ok and stand won't probably not break, but it's very light and I would not recommend to use it with a heavy microphone and full vertical extension.

For stationary setup or a rehearsal room it's absolutely ok, for stage I would recommend K&M.

Ok for home use, some faulty construction

This stand has two flaws: First, the arm with and the part with the pivot ist screwed to the lower part, what causes it to be very loose and rotate easily if the plastic nut underneath it ist not tightened enough - which is nearly impossible. It works best to turn the whole arm an hold the steel rod tight.

Second the knob on you use to fasten the arm is made out of thin plastic, contains only a thin nut and the thread of the axis cuts itself into the plastic behind the nut. Mine broke after a few days to pieces, so I replaced it with a better knob. A butterfly nut would also do the job properly.

Low price, low stability.

I've ordered this stand together with a Røde NT-1 to record some vocals at my little bedroom studio. Assembling it was pretty easy and took not longer than two or three minutes. However, as soon as I tried to put the NT-1 and it's shockmount (weighing about 326 g) on it, the stand would simply not stop falling down. No matter how I set it up, now matter how stable it looked at first, after a few minutes it would crash down. Luckily, I managed to catch it every time before it hit the ground and something was damaged. Not recommended for heavy (or expensive) microphones.

Well done

I was looking for a back up microphone stand and I didn't want to spend too much money. It's only for emergency and for unpredictable situations.

The handling is very good, the stability is also O.K., even if you bend it down to a guitar box or something else on the bottom.

low price good quality

Microphone stand for this price is amazing. It's doing it's job as it must do. But you can use it for light microhones not for heavy ones.

Good, although a little wobbly

For the price you cant argue. I got it in a bundle with my Shure SM57 and sssnake SM10 BK cable.

Has a good range of positions. The legs are pretty sturdy.

My main problem is the arm is really wobbly (not loose.)

Once your set up its all good. No issues, but when setting it up it wobbles alot and makes getting it in the right spot tedious. But it isnt a major issue over all.

A good standard stand

I got this as part of a bundle.

Like most 'peripheral' items such as this it does what it says on the tin at a good price. It is fairly rugged, like most are, and pretty affordable.

Perfect for things like vocals.

Of course you could use it to mic up a cab or snare etc but it is a little big for that.

Good value for this price

This stand is a good value for this price. I've ordered this for overhead microphones, it works fine as long as you are using it in house. thought I don't think this is good enough for a band using it on stage every day.

Nice and recommended

I was surprised when took it out from the box and felt how light it is compared to our mic stands we're using. Not only that, it wasn't bulked as I expected from the images. Overall, quite happy and recommended bought this products.

Decent value

Overall this stand is quite good product. It's definately sturdier and better built than any other cheapo stand I've come across with earlier. And it has all the necessary features one should need in a stand. It has already withstanded some gigging as an amp mic stand and I don't see any problems using it in the future.

The downsides are that all the screws need to be tightened VERY tightly to be able to trust them. It's naturally also much heavier, than the other fareast variants although in the mic stand category that's usually a non issue. This is something me, my fingers and my condenser microphone realized after the stands top beam suddenly dropped.

Inferior quality

Unfortunately the 3/8" was a bit smaller than 3/8" so it did not feel ok to use. I returned without problems. Maybe I have graded this product too hard with respect to the price. There is no free lunch...

great value

Smart and tough Mic Stand

I was worried when I ordered this stand as I needed it for my Rode NT1a studio Mic which is quite large and heavy and I worried the stand might not balance well. But I needn't have worried the stand is robust, good looking and very well balanced even with the mic perched at a flat angle essential when playing guitar. The pivot screw is positive and holds well and the twist handle that looks the upright extension too is very positive and holds up well. The tripod foot is broad and adds to the overall stability of the stand. So, well made, robust and good looking for not a lot of money, what more could you want?

A good product

I like this mic stand. The design is much improved from the older Millenium mic stand I have, and the adjustments work well and keep their settings. It is pretty light, but that's both good and bad - easy to transport, but not as stable as a heavy stand.

Mic stand

This mic stand works well. Its light and easy to transport. I have it hoding my Samson G-track and it does the job. I've used more stable stands, but for a portable unit you cant fault it.

Decent Quality, Lightweight and Low Cost Mic Stand

Although these mic stands aren't heavy-duty, they're a good option if you need lightweight, economical stands. Although I own some more solid stands, these are great for less demanding situations, and more importantly they're MUCH lighter to drag around. The quality is reasonable at the price, but I wouldn't expect them to live forever! At this price I really don't mind and they're great if you need a bunch of stands relatively cheaply. They have a slightly smaller footprint than my other stands - this can be handy at times but I would be wary of putting any really good mics on them fully extended without using some form of counterweights!

It works fine!

This is a good budget stand.

It is easy to adjust and looks good. I have worked with better stands witch have more stable booms but for the price it is an great home studio stand.
