A Really Good Mic Stand

I recently bought this mic stand as it was a cheap replacement for my old one, which had seen better days. I was extremely happy when I realised at a gig how sturdy, light and easy to set up it was. Most mic stands wobble slightly in places, not this one. Strong and reliable.

Looks like a hard wearing mic stand and all the important bits are made of metal so it should be hard wearing. I bought this over the corresponding K&M stand as it was cheaper and it will only be for light use in a home studio.

Stability could be just sligthly better, just slightly. but then again i might be overly demanding person. can't complaing tho. for the price this is awesome mic stand.

Does the job, not exactly overwhelming, but does the job.

I personally prefer the studiospares stands, they're a little hardier. But this hasn't been really any problem so far. It hasn't broken, it's slightly wobbly, but then again most budget stands are. So to that effect I couldn't really expect more.

Decent mic stand for a decent price

This mic stand is great... for the price. It's reasonably weighty and sturdy and I'd use it for a lot of applications. Would I trust it with my super expensive lead vocal mic or my tall overheads?... only if I had to. There are better stands out there that feature counter weights on the boom arm and heftier base-plates, but for this price this mic stand is great. Recommended.

P.S. avoid cheap stands if you can, you will knock them over and it will cost you in damages.

Honest Mic Stand

I bought this microphone stand for my Rode NT1a which is a bit of a heavy microphone, and this stand did the job and it is strong enough to hold the condenser mic. For now I have no concern about it.

Decent...

I know it's not much of an accolade to call a mic tripod ''decent'' but that's exactly what this one is?

Solid enough, good enough quality construction, it IS stable but it's a piece of kit to be handled by yourself, with SOME care - DON'T take it on tour, it's just not tough enough to withstand the use & abuse !

Would buy again for rehearsing room use & so on?.

I like Millenium stands, cause the price is good, but quality should be better.

I will be broaken after 2-3 years.

I recommend this one on;y for rephearsal studios , wher You don't change the position and height for the mic.

Millenium MS-2003

Millenium MS-2003 is a mic stand and does what a mic stand should do. I use it with the Apogee ONE audio interface so it's always at home in a safe environment. If you need a mic stand for heavy duty on the road I guess I would recommend another Manufacturer but this one might do the job. I just haven't tested my stand on the road.

It works great for my home studio and that's good enough

Great stand for very little money

I have used this stand in conjunction with a condenser mic shock mount a number of times and each time I have been thoroughly impressed. It holds its position without creep and its looks belies its price point. It cannot find any reason to fault it!

Solid Stand

Not much to say really! came in good condition, tightens nicely, stays in position, and all 3 of my different mic clips fit, there's also an adaptor plug thread kind of thing for bigger mic clips so i can't imagine not being able to use it for anything!

Does what it's supposed to do and doesn't take too much space when folded. Would recommend. There is one little thing I consider a flaw though, and that is the fact that the three legs aren't connected and move seperately which can result in balance problems.

A bit wiggly, but good none the less

This is not the heaviest or most stable microphone stand I have ever used, but it is most likely the cheapest! It has all necessary features and good height, and as long as you don't run into it directly it will probably stay in place.

For stage use (especially if you run around a bit like me) I would recommend something heavier, but for studio use or musicians who stay in one place this is excellent!

These stands are built very well and are more than suitable for smaller mic's such as the NT5's or C1000's. They feel very sturdy and stable even when fully extended to be used for drum overheads etc. The only issue I found was that the different joints of the stand needed a lot of tightening to avoid any movement or rotation. However, this does not change the fact that these are decent quality stands at a reasonable price. The bundle they came with (the Rode NT5 Stand Bundle w/ sssnake SM10 XLR cables) is extremely good value for money for a start-up studio and I highly recommend it.

Decent Quality Stand

Great for home studio use, which is what it's aimed at I suppose. It's not really up to life on the road but for home use it's brilliant.

Good enough for the price.

If you're looking for a cheap mic stand, for occasional use, take this one to take into account. Very versatile and firm. Maybe not for intensive or rough treat.

Fantastic budget mic stand

I've had several of these over the years and sure they eventually break but not until several years of hard use. I've used these on tours, in venues, in recording studios and in rehearsal rooms, always with great success. They also extend very far and remain very sturdy even when holding a heavy microphone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this microphone stand to all my friends and colleagues. In fact I think I will have to buy a few more of these to add to my stand collection. At this price, you can never have too many!

Very sturdy

This mic stand is one of the sturdiest that I have ever used - the joints screw down very tightly and are not at risk of coming loose and moving about whilst in use. The construction is also very tough, and it does not seem like it would bend easily like a lot of cheap stands. It is also heavy and well balanced enough to hold up a relatively big condenser mic whilst fully extended, so getting it to stay in place should not be a problem.

The only downside is the weight - if you are looking for a cheap mic stand to carry about quickly, this one is considerably heavier than cheaper ones, although certainly much sturdier,

Not perfect but fine.

Bought this to use with my large diaphragm condenser mic. Building the stand up was very easy. I was however unable to get the stand to hold the microphone without arching over, the microphone is a Rode NT1 which is overly heavily. This stand is just not suitable for mics of that type without some form of counter-weight.

The handling on this stand wasn't the best and came lose a lot. If you are just looking a cheap stand or bedroom use and not with big microphones this should do fine. I wouldn't recommend it for any microphones you need kept high up (overheads), or on a live stage.
