The part which holds the mic isnt the best quality but do the job well

the thread of the screw that holds the base has worn off after a month of use. as for the rest it looks ok

Only issue was when you use the boom nearly all the way - stand becomes a little unstable.

Broke after years of use

After years of using this microphone stand it has finally had it’s day and the plastic wheel holding the boom arm disintegrated and snapped. This stand served me well for a number of years and I definitely got my moneys worth out of it. If you are to use a heavy condenser or ribbon microphone, buy a more expensive stand but for live use or rehearsals with a dynamic vocal microphone this stand was great.

An excellent mic stand for the price

I have a bunch of these mic stands for various uses. The standard boom arms are fine for most uses, and the tripod bases are compatible with other manufacturers' accessories. They fold down to a reasonable size for transport and are quick and easy to put together for a live event. At this price, you can afford to get a couple of extras to go in your PA stock in case of any stage accidents! I've marked them down one star for quality, as there are higher quality stands out there and the boom fittings have a slightly cheap feel. Having said that, I've used these for many live gigs and they're still in decent condition.

Great Microphone Stand

Overall this microphone stand is fantastic!

I would have appreciated if the base were more weighted. When the boom arm holds an averagely weighed microphone (I use the SM58S) and when the arm extends fully, the stand topples over.

Other than this, the knobs and mechanisms are extremely intuitive and ergonomical.

In conclusion, I would highly recommend this product - unless you would need the full extension of the boom arm and your microphone is quite heavy.

What you need for an home studio

Affordable, light, easy to handle. Perfect for the price. I would not recommend for an high value microphone or for an heavy ones.

This mic stand is not very heavy, which can make it a bit tippy. However, I use it constantly and it does the job. Also the lightness makes it quite portable, so there you go!

Affordable Microphone Stand, I'm using it for years.

I used this microphone stand in my vocal recording. There two of this same product with me and i'm using them for years.

Far too fragile

This microphone stand is far too fragile. The plastic boom articulation is very bad, I have more then 10 of them, they are all unusable after let's say, maximum 1 or 2 years...

This stand may be the first stand ive had, but it sure is a good stand.

It keeps steady, and you have foldable tripod legs making this portable. (If you really wanna carry a microphone stand around for some reason) i can probably see this stand in the future with no loose parts and the parts still clamping down efficiently. I can see this lasting long enough with proper care. Overall, a good stand!

Bad quality

It is handy and exactly as it looks, however it broke too soon and the stability could be improven

Falls apart... DO NOT BUY.

Bought two of these back in... uh... 2013. (Time flies!)

I've touched them ONCE when I set them up for my home drum kit.

Suddenly (within a few months, I think?) one of them just fell apart by itself.

Upon inspection, the plastic part where the boom sits turned out to be JUNK. Full of cracks. VERY weak construction.

I managed to get it somewhat together again with some of that fameous "duct tape" that has saved so many before...

The other stand is just as bad, I haven't dared moving it because then that too will fall to pieces.

I should've written the review back then but forgot. I got reminded now when I needed to borrow them for another drum kit and the ting just fell apart again. I doubt I can save it this time...

Sure, they were cheap but the money were still wasted... and now I'm missing two boom mic stands for a recording session in a couple of days.
