Great for the price

Compared to other stands, this one is worth it to save some money. It feel high end and it definitely does the job. It can hold two mics with plenty of option for height and positioning. I would like it more if the center tube at the tripod would also have some plastic on it. It is stable though more than enough, 9/10 I would say.

Good stand for the price. We are using it for home recording and it does well.

You get what you pay for with mic stands. These are grand as mic stands for the local battle of the bands or an emergency back up but if you're going on tour or planning on doing serious recording shell out the extra bucks. If you're a local band or recording yourself in your bedroom or garage work away they do exactly as you would expect and will do perfectly.

great for completely static setups, handles movement poorly

So this worked nicely for a while. But right from the start it wouldn't stay locked in the position I put it in.

And one day the plastic inside the part that connects the two poles just disintegrated, pulvarized. Might have been the lower temperature at night in our studio, which is in a section of our barn, but still. It was never freezing out there, and this thing is made of plastic and metal, I expected it to last a little longer.

Going for a more expensive more solid variant next time.

An excellent mic stand for a cheap price!

I have bought three of these mic stands for use in my home office/studio and they are simply the best value for money you can get! Sure, I don't take them gigging - so I cannot comment on how well they hold up to a lot of tossing around ... but, for my stationary setup: they are perfect!

It is cheap, but robust and solid. Overall, it is very good for this price. I have it for 1 year now, use it every day and had no problems with it.

Poor quality

Unless you plan on setting these things up once and leaving them alone forever, it won't take long before they start to come apart with mild use.

It's affordable

Use in the studio as mic stand for drummer.

The most obvious con is that it falls over most of the time.

Probably can be used with light mics and without extending the arm too much.

Have this set up all the time in my practice room! Does the job. Decent quality. Good price.

Not that much experience on different mic stands but this is noisy if stand is rotated. Horrible noise :D Although using cheap samson dynamic mic with this one at the moment. The mic I use is not too good rejecting handling noise. It is still a cheap stand and does feel ok stability wise. Just don't get too crazy extending the boom all the way in horizontal position. Not really meant for that I guess but just saying.

Fair price for what you get

It's not the best mic stand ever, but it also doesn't cost much.

A little unstable, wobbly and plasticky. But for the price I absolutely can't complain. And it does exactly what it's supposed to do. Hold a microphone.

Hard to argue with price but nearly falls over a lot

First off the price on this product is ridiculously cheap so any issues with it are understandable. It has lots of adjustment to it but the moving parts do feel a little flimsy. Anytime I have to loosen something I'm always a little bit afraid that they won't tighten back up again. The legs splay a little bit too much and I have to do a bit of propping up every now and again. It is being used in my home studio so doesn't need to move too much, if you are looking for something for a live set up I wouldn't recommend this as it could fall over too easily.

Having said all of that I have had this a year now and it's still standing (albeit a little bit unsteady). Again, if I had paid more for a stand like this I could probably complain but you get what you pay for and ultimately it is still doing what it is supposed to. So I am happy overall.

Good for the price

Works perfect if you use lighter microphones like small diaphragm condensors or normal light dynamics like a SM57. I would advise using it with heavier mic's because of the light weight of the stand.

Not always the easiest stand to adjust, but works great for the price.

Really sturdy and does its job

There's not much to say other than it's a good mic stand for what it was made for. If you're a singer, you may not be able to hold on to the mic and sing with a burning passion but it's great for holding mics to record instruments or to sing if you're playing an instrument as well. Overall, really good

Simple Microphone stand

Works good as long as you don't use a large heavy microphone as the positioning grips are not wonderful I wouldn't trust it for precisely setting recording mics or anything but as a basic vocal mic stand with an sm80 or something it's perfect just what you need!

Decent Budget Mic Stand

It happily holds a Shure sm58 without tipping over but...... it does feel a little fragile. It's great for a bit of practice at home and that's all. I wouldn't expect it to last too long in any environment or situation which requires packing down and setting up often. Do bear in mind that this is a very low budget stand. The quality is fine for the price and it's hard to grumble. So it's simple, If you are gigging regularly or move your gear around a lot, then you WILL need to dig a bit deeper into those pockets and spend at least 2 to 3 times the price of this stand. My stand will stay at home for practice and song writing and for that it's perfect. I've given it 4 stars total because the low price meant I could have a mic stand + boom dedicated to practice at home without breaking the bank. :)
