Good value stand

As a disclaimer I should state that I am not a gigging musician and I use this for a home recording set-up only. However, this is a nice solid mike stand that is stable and suitably collapsible. A heavy mike will tend to rotate if not positioned correctly but this can be easily remedied by taking care on set-up. This is a good value product and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again.

Okay for the price.

I bought these stands in the beginning when I didnt have anything else to bass my opinion on. Now Im a little wiser and its partly thanks to these stands. They are not very heavy so they can tip over easily and the main clamp on the boom doesnt last very long. I wasnt gigging them heavily. Maybe once a week. These could be ok for a permanent setup but not for transit or heavy gigging..

Millenium Mic stand

Does its job well as a studio mic stand, however I'd definitely hesitate to use it live. Particularly the fixture for adjusting and angling the arm seems quite fragile, it could easily get moved out of place in any gig and I know I wouldn't trust it to stay in one piece with the heavier handling I'm used to. Quite light also so not as stable as it could be.

Best mic stand in price reigon

I went for this one as the moveable bar style tightener isn't as easy to break, so this will likely be the most durable cheap mic stand to get. It is a cheap mic stand but does the job perfectly well.

Affordable and good mic stand

I used this mic stand many times in my hope studio and here is my review for it. The mic stand is quite stable and the quality is good. The only bad thing I can say is don't screw the knobs too tight, they CAN break!

Get what you pay for

A functional boom stand, easy to set up and use. It isn't designed for substantial heavy use and as such the section that locks the boom also locks the angle it is at. A strong twist too far and this would shear if one was not careful. That said, for general mid level use it has proved fine.

Ok mic stand

This is a good mic stand for the money. But it's easy to push over, so I wish it was a little bit heavier. But overall, good quality for the money.

Good stand at economic price

I bought this as a replacement for another stand which was worn out. It does exactly what I want. Will buy this product again when the need arises

pretty good

it's not a top-dollar stand .. but hey !! it works very well and it's pretty good for the price !

I wouldn't recommend it for very heavy microphones, it's not very steady in this case, but for general studio use .. it's really a bang for the buck ..

like you don't want to pay triple this price for a stand just to use it as a pop filter mount or for lighter weight mics.. i'm not saying it won't handle a Neumann U87 .. but it will be shaky a bit if used with Rode K2 while fully extended.

conclusion: I bought 6 of these for drums, amp, room mics, guitar etc. and i'm very happy with it.

Good Stand

Most of my mic stands are Millenium, they are a reliable cheap company with good products.

It came with a little cable clip to keep cables neat. Easy to use and set up.

Try not to extend the boom out too far as the mic will make it tip over depending on size.

Will be buying more of these at this price its worth it.

Buy 2 for the price

As a professional nationwide gigging musician, reliability is of utmost importance when choosing any equipment.

This millennium mic stands price worried me, as nothing that cheap could be sturdy enough for me needs. However I was proved very wrong, It is extremely study and will definitely last a long time with a little care to packing it. The metal bar that tightens the top half of the stand is extremely useful for quick height adjustments mid singing and is not found on any stand in a similar price range. While the legs of the stand have lost some stability due to cheap plastic, it doesn't seem like anything that will effect the stand before many months of intensive gigging and transport.

I will definitely look into buying more of this model, can not argue with the price or build

Bargain Mic stand

These stands are probably the cheapest available online.

Ideal for spares, or if your just starting out, they do what you would expect - hold mics! As long as your not plonking something super-heavy on the end, I would use over and over again.

Great light weight stand

Don't let the low price put you off! These mic stands are ideal for me as I have a mobile recording unit and need light weight stands for ease of carrying.

Quality is great for my purpose in a studio environment, but they probably wouldn't last very long in a live / stage setting.

Have had a few minor problems with the stands (locking/adjustment mechanism for boom not working), but these things are such a low price I just recycled them and threw away the bits I didn't need anymore.

Mic stand

It held the mic. Didn't fall over. Aesthetically it is not the best looking mic stand on the market but it does the job. Good value

A lightweight stand, for lightweight work.

Strong enough for most mic's, home studio and location work.

Easily adjustable to seated, standing and overhead recording.

As expected it is not robust enough for heavy-duty work or extended touring. But strong enough for those jobs where you have more than enough to carry as it is. With care it should give good service for many years.

Good stand.

I bought this mic stand 5 months ago, and it has served me very well so far. The height adjusting mechanisms are well thought out, and you can fix the boom arm's length and angle position with one screw. There are also two points to attach microphones; on the end of the boom arm, and at the top of the main stand.

My only criticism is that the boom adjusting/ tightening mechanism is made out of cheap brittle plastic; this may crack or break if you tighten the boom with a lot of force. It comes with a smaller screw attachment, incase you have a large or small mic holder.

Good for studio use

It's a very versatile stand, it can handle 2 microphones at the same time. I can mic 2 speakes of a 4x12" cab at the same time.

It looks and feels a bit fragile, but for light studio use is just fine.

Good if you are on a Budget

I bought two of these Microphone Stands around 6 months ago. I didn't have a big budget and bought them primarily for use in the house for small scale recording, usually just a guitar and vocal. When I received these in the post they were exactly what I expected, which is far from a bad thing! They feel reasonably well made and are perfect for if you aren't going to use them to death. I would recommend getting more robust stands if you were going to use them for heavy gigging. I have only two things that I could say were real cons about buying these stands. The first is that when you twist the handle that controls the boom section it moves it both up and down and in and out, this is not an issue most of the time however can become a problem when trying to be very accurate in positioning of microphones. The other minor issue is the weight of mic it can hold stable, if using a reasonably heavy large diaphragm condenser the stand is not cable at holding it in place if the boom is far forward.

However as a spare or minimum use stand this works fine and is an absolute bargain!

Good but not the best

I purchased two of these for the studio but found that its hard to keep stable with the heavier microphones. Also the wheel keeps going down (even when at its maximum torque) if the microphone / shock absorption / etc is too heavy. Still they are nice and cheap, microphone stands break all the time for various reasons so if you are looking for a cheap replacement this is the way to go. Had some problem as well with base, too light and tilts easily (even with smaller mics) but as long as you keep it in the right angle and position you should be fine!

Decent quality for the price.

A solid mic stand, good for SM-58 sized mics. It got a bit unstable when I used a big condenser mic, but I dont't think it was really designed with big mics in mind.

Overall, a good mic stand.
