Grand mic stand, if a little on the short side

Got this mic stand recently and have had no major problems with it. Not the best quality in terms of parts but has never given me any trouble during gigs or otherwise. I use the stand when playing live and at the computer. Great stand for the price, can't imagine it'll last forever but it does the job.

Great value for money

I got this as part of a bundle with a sennheiser microphone. It was so cheap it was an obvious choice to get it. The stand is decent quality. It is pretty sturdy but don't expect to fully extend the boom arm as the center of gravity isn't low enough. But for normal use it is more than capable.

Does what it's meant to

It's pretty light, it also probably wouldn't stand up to being thrown in a van after gigs night after night.

But it holds up a microphone well, what more do you want from a stand?

Cheap, light, functional

This stand is light, stable and does the job. I've only used it for my home studio, which it is ideal for. You might want something more heavy duty for regular live use.

Great value

Absolutely worth its low price. A bit awkward solution for the arm, but works well and holds a long time if you handle the stand with a bit of care - that means no adjusting without properly unscrewing.

Good

It's perfectly fine for standard, fairly stationary use. We use these at home and they get moved around a little bit, but not much. For the price, they are surprisingly solid, and they work perfectly fine. Of stands in this price range, this is at the top of what I've experienced.It's easily adjustable, the screws stay tight once adjustments are made, it's light but not so light that it tips or blows over, the feet keep it steady on the floor and from wobbling.

Seriously, for those who don't need a stand that can handle touring or lots of fiddling around, this is the one to go with. If you need a stand to handle doing live gigs and/or going on tour, shipping around in airplanes or vans, etc., you will need to go up a notch or two in quality (and, sadly, price).

The best cheap mic stand you can buy

This mic stand is mind-bendingly affordable. It probably wouldn't last long on tour or at a busy gig venue but if it's just setup permanently in a small studio or at home then it'll last for years. I've had a few of these over the years and the quality for the price is outstanding.

Don't look further!

This is one of the best mic stands i have ever had, stable and after almost 3 years it still goes strong! not loosening after all this time and all the gigs its been at. you can put various types of microphone on top and it is very easy to do so! Easy to stack away and light to carry around, but you will have to purchase the twisty thing to put a handheld mic on top! And because of its black discreet colour if you need to plump it up you could DIY it a bit and decorate it to make it stand out! I did that and wrapped feather boas around and well, possibilities are endless!!

Good stand

It's a good stand overall. Lacks a little bit of stability when a 'too heavy' mic is placed on it but it's no big deal. For the price, it's a good buy I'd say

Solid

A solid cheapie stand that, despite the low price, dows its job admirably. Wouldn't really recommend for live use as it may not be stable and durable enough, but it's definitely good for recording purposes.

Good budget stand

I bought two of these stands and am pleased with them. They are quite sturdy when up. However, they can take a bit of work to get to the correct position and some times they loosen due to stage vibrations etc.

Simple Stand

This is a relatively light but robust stand. I've been gigging it for over two years now (at least 4 gigs per week) and NOTHING has broken on it. It handles very well and very simply. One handy levered screw to adjust the length and the angle of the boom shaft. One screw to adjust the legs. The legs are still as tight to fold in and out as when I got it. I'm very happy about that. There's a height adjuster for the straight shaft that I never need to adjust because I can achieve perfect height from the boom adjuster. There's also a mic holder screw atop the straight adjustable shaft. Handy for an instrument mic if you need one. The only adjustment I made to the stand was to glue on the rubber feet on to prevent them coming off and getting lost. You'll have to do this for most mic stands anyway.

This stand has a great price, easy positioning system and good height. Not suitable for heavy mics on long horizontal boom. They take minimal space when folded.

These stands are awesome to have a lot of spare stands for a small price, and the parts are easy changeable, but they are not suitable for hard conditions.

3 year guarantee, so when it goes wrong, you at least get a new one.

Okay for the Money

For us this stand just does the job, its stability is okay, never fell over or something. We didnt use the overhead arm though, for that i would maybe invest a bit more.

A nicely priced microphone stand.

This microphone stand will suit anyone who isn't looking to splash out loads of cash on a fancy stand.

It is nice and stable, locks the positions well, and is lightweight yet durable.

I have not used it much, and only in studio conditions, but it has always retained it's position fine and has never needed tightening excessively.

It has a decent build quality and is not too heavy but doesn't feel so light that it feels tacky or cheap.

A very nice stand for the price and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who needs a decent stand for studio/rehearsal/gigging use. It will do it's job fine.

Pretty much perfect!

Ordered the mic stand, and it came very quickly and in good shape! I couldn

t imagine what else you would need from a mic stand, as I'm a home musician so it suits my setup just fine (isn't carried around many places) but even if I took it to my community hall for them to use it would be suitable for that kind of thing too!

It's very well constructed and sturdy, and can extend to a very high length. Holds the mic firmly in place, the adjustable lever things also tightly keep things in place, and the rubber caps for the feet are stuck on (which I like). Seriously good value for money.

The only thing you may require is to adjust the mic head angle, which on this product you cant. Also, when the mic is extended outwards you can knock it over a little bit easier as the base of the stand isn't long enough to prevent that. Absolutely no problem though in normal use.

Decent stand for light to moderate use

I bought my Millenium MS-2005 to use in my home studio. It's doing a great job. I wouldn't recommend it for heavy gigging, but for the occasional live show or studio use, this is ideal. Just remember to loosen the grips before you move the boom around so you don't damage the mechanism. The boom stays in place, even with a sizeable condenser mic attached, which was a pleasant surprise!

Good Value for Money

My band have been using one of these for a few weeks now and have just ordered another. In case, we remove the boom and use just the lower stand section as stands for the Behringer B205D powered monitors (excellent by the way).

They aren't as heavily constructed as some premium brands but at the price there are no complaints. If looked after and not abused, they will last just fine.

Friction of the boom lock is quite acceptable and stability is OK. The lightweight means that you can put three or four in a carry bag and not struggle carrying them into the gig.
