GREAT drum heads, easy to tune.

My favorite drum head

This is my favorite snare drum head. It feels great to play and has a great rebound off of it. The sound is very crisp and warm with a lot of attack. It's very durable, even when tuned quite tight like mine is. It's a great all-round snare drum head and great value for money.

Bonne cowbell our un prix minime !

Voici 6 mois que j'ai reçu cette cowbell , elle déchire ! Son son est vraiment bon , cependant j'ai du limiter la résonnance car celle-ci était trop ample . La fabrication est bonne :)

Most used snare head for a reason

This is the quintessential snare drum head for a reason. It can take the hard hit of a blast beat and respond to the soft touch of brushes. I play in a rock pop band, but I have also used this snare head for projects in other genres such as funk, grunge, punk and hard rock, and the sound I get from this snare head every time is the one I need. I kill unwanted overtones with some gaffer tape, which leaves no glue residue (gel pads being of course another dampening option). Price is of course very good, even considering that you won't have to change snare head so often. Highly recommended.

The best head for snaredums

I've been using these heads for 15 years. Very versatile heads, work great with different tunings. Give the drums a very warm, controlled sound. Great quality also, they last very long. Works well in the studio and also in live situation.

14" coated

although this is a snare drumhead i was using it on my 14" floor tom to great results. i normally have a clear 14" skin but the coated gives a much nicer warmer sound.

Best for SD

For me, this is the best snare drum head. Sounded beautiful, warm with great punch! I use it in my studio on hand crafted DW snare drum.

For a punchy and open sound

I own two snare drums - the Gretsch Renown Maple and the Ludwig LM402 Supra Phonic (metal snare) and the Remo Ambassador Coated head shines on them both. I mostly use the head for recording and it provides a very open sound with lots of treble and crack. In my opinion the Ambassador works best with medium to high tunings, for low tunings I prefer thicker heads as the Ambassador is relatively thin being a singleply head. In comparison to double-ply heads like the Remo Emperor, the Ambassador will wear out sooner so if you are dealing with very heavy hitting drummers you might need to change the Ambassadors more often than double-ply heads to maintain the pristine tone. However if the head is played without extra force it will preserve the tone for quite a long time. If you are looking for getting a punchy and trebly snare sound - the Remo Ambassador Coated is the drum head you need.

Sound good on anything, my go to head.

Simply the best!

In my opinion the Remo coated Ambassador is simply the best in the business, at least for my snare drums. I've experienced with a number of other heads but in the end I always go back to this. It's number one and probably will be forever!
