Shure SE215-CL Reviews
Excellent in-ears set
For the price this set punches above its weight... very clear, crisp audio... and surprisingly good cancellation of ambient noise levels.
Great sound isolation when used properly
Very good sound isolation, I've put them through their paces over the last 18 months and the cable does need replacing at this stage but I will be buying them again and keeping the old ones for spare parts as I've found them great. Once you get a handle on putting them on properly they're fantastic
Make sure your ears are clean
They're great. Did the trick for a tour I was on. I thought one ear was broken, turned out it was just wedged with ear wax. I had almost returned them. Clean out yo' ears! Great product.
Have been using poor IEH and these are much better
I have been using various cheap in ear headphones to listen to the mix when recording, I got fed up with the poor sound and decided to go with something a bit better. Not being able to afford £1000 in ear phones I decided to go to the top of the bottom end and chose some that at least had a reasonable name and would fit the bill.
I really like these in ear phones, the squidgy ear pieces work great and completely block out external sounds, the sound from the phones is full and distinctive and more than suitable for their use as monitors of our sound.
There have been some concerns about their durability, but as soon as I have finished using them they go straight back into their case and I have not noticed and issues as yet.
Great quality in ears!
I use these for live shows for monitors and click track and they sound great. The custom buds means they'll fit any ear size for maximum comfort and the sound is crisp and clear. If you're looking for in-ears or just some new headphones then these are definitely a great investment! Mine have lasted me three years and they're still going strong!
Everything you need to hear the band clearly and comfortably
After suffering from ringing ears for years after loud gigs i decided to go down the IEM route. I can now hear my guitar sound clearly and have a comfortable mix of the band in my ears rather than being blown away after a few songs just to pay for it with ringing ears for the rest of the week. Not cool. The earbuds themselves are isolating so the background noise is kept to a minimum. I play in 2 loud rock bands and will never do a gig again without these IEMs. It may seem expensive but you cannot repair hearing damage so its not a big investment if you look at it that way. Your ears is how you hear music!
Shure SE215
Good headphones for in-ear monitors!
Good listening to music!
Noise insulation perfect, comfort improvable
The noise insulation is perfect but the comfort could be improved, having trouble to get them fixed properly behind the ears but this can also be a personal thing. All in all I recommend this product very much!
Best choice for the price
Great earphones for monitoring and isolating sound. I use these for drumming and I can tell, that the ambient sound isolation is great if you choose the right earbuds. Those sounds great too, maybe a little bit lacks at low end, but overall good and clear.
The build quality is superb, detachable cord, case included, looks great and professional in your ears:)
Perfect budget solution
Works very good for simple tasks where top class hi-fi sound is not a need. Sounds very good and with the gray insert, the insulation is great so do the bass response.
Having used a dual driver, of course it's not comparable, but for the price, I truly recommend it! Cheap and nice!
Shure SE215-CL
The Shure SE215-CL are practical and inexpensive IEM's perfect for beginners. They come with 3 different size of buds, and 2 different materials (6 in total) so you can find your perfect size. The tool for cleaning the IEMs are very useful. They are not the greatest sound but if you look at the price of IEMs that acceptable. I would recommend because hearing protection is paramount for a live musician. If you can, i would recommend you get impressions made for moulded IEMs.
NOTE - I am not sure what Außengeräuschisolierung is (in the ratings) So i gave it one star.
I mainly bought these for monitoring at rehearsal room and gigs.
Pros:
- the noise isolation is really good
- the cabels seems to be really durable
- fits perfectly to my ear
- lots of ear piece
Cons:
- almost no bass so for bass players is pretty hard to hear themselves
- no cabel clip on t-shirt
Great Headphones
Everybody use them.
I use them for 2-3 years now and they are perfect .
Sound is great, noice insulation is 100%
My only cone is that the base of them is plastic, so if you step over them or you drop them they might easily get broken.
Other than that great product.
Decent
Great value for money. BUT you have to crank them to really isolate from noisy room and they sound a bit harsh at louder volumes. My ears aren't as fatigued as would be without them, but after 4h rehearsal it's not perfect. Still, great for the price.
Very good
USE
Live monitoring. works good.
Astonishing
Amazing sound from a pair of single driver ear phones. Build quality was what you would expect from Shure. Lovely fit & lots of accessories included. Great lows, mids & highs. Very Even all round.
great headphones for the money
I usualy use Shure SE 215 in ear heaphones when playing with my friend an acoustic gig. Those in ear headphones are very heplfull when youre playing in problematic sounding rooms and halls, and you need a clean vox and guitar just to hear what youre playing and singing. Sounc could be better (especially how it reproduce the sound of an wired acoustic guitar) but its good enough! Unfortunatlly, after one year of use, something broke in the left speaker so I need to send it back.
The comfort problem is probably unavoidable
I use these to monitor my sound from my Boss RC-300 loop pedal. I really like that they are small and light, but I suspect most people might find the way they fit in the ear takes some getting used to. Nevertheless, I think the excellent sound is worth the slight discomfort. And I have gotten more used to them as I use them.
best low end in ears
You're browsing the cheaper section for your first in ear monitors? You're looking at the entry level earphones, because you're not sure this will be a thing for you?
Forget all of them - it's worth the extra cash just to buy these.
These are part of my wireless in-ear monitoring rig when i tour, so far they've not given me a day of trouble.
These are well constructed, the cable is thick and gets thicker towards the in ears themsevles, and if you do break the cable, it's replaceable!
I used to break cables on my old budget sets reguarly, or they'd get blocked randomly - i have yet to damage these.
The sound is clear, they cancel the outside noise quite well (oh for a volume control on those drums!) - they're comfortable, and the buds are replaceable if you find they're not.
Bought these for an on-stage monitoring, but understand that these can also be used every day as these are staying pretty well in ears when moving around. Has very good and detailed sound and every aspect of these earphones are well thought out. I haven`t tried other more expensive Shure earphones, but I am really satisfied with these(and I am quite demanding on sound).
