Shure SM58 LC 5-stars Reviews
Industry standard mic
I can only really repeat what others have probably already said about this product.
Solid construction.
Well packaged.
Nice to have the little bag to keep the mic and its bracket handy and safe.
Industry standard for live vocalists.
I use mainly to do heavy metal growling style vocals for which it seems to match my voice perfectly.
Only one thing I can think would make this better would be an engraving service, so many people have these I worry about it getting swapped for a different one without me noticing.
Excellent Sound
I really love it.
Best live mic
Awesome mic as we all know.
i have nothing to say about SM58
choose SM58 is a right thing. everyone knows it.
Simple but great mic
I had a Jefe mic before this. I compared the two on a rehearsal and what a difference. I have a deep tone of voice and how much better this mic brings out the deep sounds! Great sounding mic. Very well built and heavy duty.
This microphone is the industry standard for live vocal, so it was a no brainer when I had to buy a vocal mic for a rehearsing space. It's well made, realiable and sounds great, it's no wonder so many musicians around the world use this microphone.
Cannot Fault it
Had this product for 4 years now.
Works as well as the day I bought it!
Superbe Mic!
Use at church for lead preacher.
Crystal Clear Sound, with low floor noise.
You can't miss with SM58!
Even amateurs know that this is the best all around mic for live performances and recording.
This is my second Shure SM58. The first one I bought 10 years ago and used it for vocals for band practice. I didn't take much care of it to tell you the truth and still works today!
It's really well made and it comes with a small storing back, which should be enough if you're not touring.
You really can't miss with this mic, if music legends use it for live performances it's good enough for you. Not to mention it's really not that expenside. A huge value for money in my opinion!
Cannot be faulted!
I use this mic for recording at my home studio, and live. There is a reason these mics are touted as the gold standard of dynamic microphones, the clarity is phenomenal, I have nothing bad to say about the sure sm58. If you want a mic that can be used in all situations with the right knowledge of production, these mics can really produce high quality sound.
Once in a lifetime buy
A microphone you only buy once.Ive had it since 2005 and just bought one for my girlfriend who also sings live in oubs etc.Great mic overall.Preferable than the beta series.I find that the middle frequencies are warmer and easier to work with in small gigs and live performances!!!
Best gigging microphone.
Still the best gigging microphone around.
Superior quality and sound.....
No wonder it's the preferred product on the marked, and has been for ages....
The Legendary microphone still does it's thing like always.
The SM58 is a very well known microphone, due to it's incredible ability to suffer abuse and remain working with little difference.
Pros:
-Probably the most resistant microphone in existence.
-Good sound for live vocals, specially male vocals.
-Comes with a storage kit to easily carry it around.
-Simple and effective design.
Cons:
-While it's possible, this microphone isn't ideal for studio recording, as there's a lot better alternatives.
-The microphone might be super resistent, but the grille is just like any other, so you might find yourself replacing them if you abuse it too much.
Overall, this is a must have microphone for vocalists doing live shows. If you're in some sort of very active rock, metal band, this will take all the abuse without you worrying one bit. I highly reccomend it.
With him I record the voice and guitar. Excellent microphone!
No better microphone!
I used to use a Sennheiser microphone for singing live while my other band mates used the Shure SM58. They strongly recommended I buy an SM58 and so I did and I'm glad I listened to them. Gives a much sweeter and clearer sound!
Still going strong ~10 years later
Bought this microphone almost 10 years ago, and it's still going strong.
While this is a vocal microphone, I've been using it with great results for recording guitar as well. If you just unscrew the grill, it basically turns into an SM-57 - at least as far as a typical guitar is concerned. Look the spec up and see the (lack of) difference for yourself.
So you get two mics for the price of one.
The Best Mike
Believe all the hype this is the best mic for any kind of audio. I am a DJ so mostly use an SM58 mic for speech.
Recently I started doing Karaoke with all different singers etc.
I bought another mic for this as I already had one for the speech' (I have two sm58s) Using reverb with effects on the mixer really adds to the vocal harmony of this mic. Turn off most of the effects for speech to give a clear crisp tone for presentations intro's etc.
I am considering buying one of the sm58 wireless mics.
Totally recommended..
5 Stars!
Bought this mic for live vocal performances and it is exactly what I was looking for! The Shure SM58 delivers the best of your performance on stage. I would definitely recommend this to everyone as you cannot go wrong!
Great for vocal
This mic will not let you down..
