Great headphones

Great headphones

Accurate

Comfortable

This is my second pair, the others have lasted 11 years so far. Be aware that you will need to change the earpiece covers after a few years, they crack and disintegrate. But for the price, they're fantastic

Great sound and built quality

The sound is very nice and neutral, giving you the true tone of the music you are listening to or are making.

On my head they feel incredibly comfortable and I can wear them for extended periods of time with out problems.

The only "con" would be that they don't isolate outside sounds that well.

Sony MDR-7506

Sony MDR-7506closed-back, full-size headphones click with all music genres and are comfortable to wear for hours at a time. They sound excellent for their relatively modest price point.

Sony MDR-7506

This are one of the most used Headphones in Music Production. The sound is amazing and they are very confortable. Although the box it looks cheap and fragile instead AudioTechnica boxes for example.

Totally recommended

A standard

My favourite sounding closed back headphones, for studio and especially for casual listening.

They're not the most comfortable to wear for 8 hours, and the cable is not detachable, but I prefer the sound of these over the other most used headphones in this price range (Audio technica & Beyerdynamic)

With a few small issues, good enough

This is an industry standard, so... I'm probably just splitting hairs. But... The exposed wires are an issue. Should have hidden it, this way they are easily get damaged. Comfort is great, though almost small for me. And I'm not a big guy, and do not have Dumbo-ears. I also never tried to wear it for more than an hour, so after that it might prove an issue for others. Sound is... well as a standard, great. To my ears a very slight boxiness and an extremely small amount of shift from a completely flat sound, but honestly, we should not want absolute perfection, especially for this price. It is more than enough, even at a pro-level, so..

Great headphones for mixing

I have AKG (20 years old) and Presonus (purchased in a bundle but quite heavy IMHO) headphones but needed a really good one to mix on headphones.

Comfort is really good, you can mix for hours with it.

I use it with Sonarworks to have a good flat reference while mixing and sometimes also use it with Waves NX series plugins.

I highly recommend it.

Best all-round headphones

I use these as my edrum headphones and mixing.

They deliver outstanding performance with clear sound detailing. These are the best headphones for electronic drums available for delivering high quality, clear sound reproduction.

These headphones are excellent for accurate monitoring as they offer crystal clear highs, present mids, and a deep low end that allow for expressive playing on electronic drums.

Thy are ideal for all manners of sound monitoring in professional studios. They are an immensely popular choice amongst professionals due to their rugged design and powerful 40mm drivers.

Offering a full-range response with crisp and clear detailing, the closed-ear design delivers both comfort and a high level of sound reduction from external noises.

If you are looking for unmistakably high sound quality and performance, these are the best headphones for electronic drums.

Good for vocal recordings

I found this headphone is good for vocal recording, vocals go upfront naturally. Its more midrangy to me. Feels good and old school, like it..

Quality

The sound for the price is above average the quality is top they can handle very easy any kind of music specila at middle and low frequnces. After 1 hr you may want a break not so comfort but they re generaly ok and very stable on ears.

compact & comfortable/ sticky ear pads

The sound lacks some base and they don't fit very tight, but they are comfortable, foldable and compact which makes them my preferred headphones to carry around. After a certain time the ear pads will start to crackle, but hold on and after even a longer while the black coating of the ear pads will disappear entirely and you'll be left with soft comfortable ear pads.

Make sure you wash your ears though when they start loosing their black coating or look for better replacement pads that don't have the black coating.

Their popularity is no surprise!

Sony has never let me down in the audio world

These are no exception! Great for mixing and listening to music

The build quality is great, all the little details and the materials are great

My only complaints are that the cable being a little heavy and the ear cups could be a bit deeper so my ears wouldn't touch the inside. After a while they get a bit sore, but nothing a little break won't solve

Also, the ear pads are unfortunately made of that material that flakes over time, a bit of a shame...

But on the other hand, they're so affordable and sound so good that they're totally worth it. The less positive aspects are easy to get over anyway, in my opinion.

Hands down the best headphones I've ever used.

I bought them just for tracking but have frequently found myself mixing on them late at night rather than my monitors (yamaha HS7's) and the results are comparable as they have a fairly flat frequency response amd a crisp clear sound although they are just as good for casually listening to music on as they don't have that clinical sound that studio monitors tend to have.

I try to take breaks once every hour/couple of hours so as not to damage my hearing or have my mixes suffer because of ear fatigue but I never have to take them off due to discomfort.

I have had them over a year now, maybe more and the only downside i've found so far is that with a LOT of use the coating on the cushion parts has started to flake off but you can by replacement cushions for cheap

One of the few headphones that fit my ears

I wear these headphones at work for hours every day. They feel great and are very durable. I've had other Sony MDR headphones before, they have become my go-to. My ears are a bit larger than most, these headphones are perfect for me.

KILLER OF BEYERDYNAMIC AND AUDIO TECHNICA

If you are considering of getting some beyerdynamic or audio technica, forget them and get this one this may not be popular as the beyerdynamic or audio technica but this headphone very underrated its so flat and natural sounding 100% recommended for producers and artist out there, don't waste your money getting the beyerdynamic or audio technica go with this sony mdr 7506 and it will change your production, believe me.

It is a classic.

It is a classic almost every studio has. Its design and comfort shows its age.

Since it is classic, it doesn't have new features like detachable cable, or better pads or headband.

Its clarity and sound is already proven by so many people. I think there should be redesign without loosing its sound signature.

Totally underrated!

Probably only a few connoisseurs knows about this already vintage model: used in so many studios and by live musicians and classical orchestras, the MDR-7506 are perfect for your mix!

Very comfortable and the price beats almost everything on the market.
