Nice studio desk.

For the home studio enthusiast on a budget this is good value for money.

Very impressed.

Can't go wrong with this desk, delivered very quickly and was simple enough to put up. Feels very sturdy which is one thing I was scared of buying a cheaper desk, however it failed to disappoint! Would definitely recommend.

Amazing value for money, great for beginners.

I bought this workstation back in 2009, and it served me well right up until late last year when I replaced it.

Pros: The cost is excellent, the desk is well featured and the wheels are an amazing addition sadly lacking on many far more expensive desks. There is plenty of room for either a MIDI keyboard or a mixing console & keyboard and mouse. Rack spaces are a cool plus, and the cable tray on the back is a godsend.

Cons: While very acceptable for the price, build quality is average. The desk wobbles after a week or so without tightening. I moved five or six times while I had it and it eventually showed - in particular the lining around the edges of both platforms broke off exposing the chipboard underneath. Some of the metal parts ring out at certain frequencies.

Verdict: I'd call this a great desk for somebody just starting out or with simple requirements. It's not very pretty and has its share of problems but the features are good, the value for money is insane and I can't imagine there to be too many competitive alternatives at this price.

Good but not perfect

Great desk, really helpful for most things.

One thing that was a little annoying about this desk however is the rack rails as i found i could get gear in to them on the top or bottom holes but couldn't secure both at the same time (it's possible that I put the rails on the wrong way around (though I don't believe I did), it's not a big deal as you can still secure stuff using half the holes but it's worth noting. Equally due to the angle of the racks you may struggle to put a rack drawer into the unit if you are so inclined.

Very nice

Very nice desk and nice quality. The desk has two levels, one for place your computer, keyboard, control surface and the other to place your reference monitors etc..I just found a little uncomfortable placing the monitor in the highest level but the rest is fine! Also, it's really well built.

Great!

This is a studio desk with built-in rack shelving.

I use this at my home studio. I needed something that would provide sufficien space for computer, keybord, speakers, multiple screen and would putting stuff underneath.

Moreover, as my guitar recording is done via a Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp and a Peavey Classic Series 60/ 60 power amplifier, I needed rack shelving to fit those units in a convenient and utilitarian manner.

The Studio RTA Creation Station was the answer, especially at that price point. There is plenty on the main bottom work surface for a keyboad, a small laptop and the rack shelving is great and sturdy, with angled placement of the mounting brackets to make use of rack gear more practical. Angling the rack units allows for some space at the back for air to circulate through so they don't overheat.

The top surface is wide enough for screens and monitors.

On the back of the unit there is a bracket that runs across the whole length and is for neatly routing cables rather than having a messy situation with cables tangled at the back.

I also managed to fit a 2x12 cab in the middle of the bottom panel and a pc tower on the left while still leaving plenty of leg space

The construction is solid, the rack mounts can hold considerable weight, the wood seems of good quality and the instructions were clear and there were no parts missing.

Only downside is that it feels a bit short in terms of height if you considered to do typing work.

Overall a great budget solution

Still In Use

This is a well built sturdy workstation desk. Have been using it for last 6 years with no problems.

2020 UPDATE

I can't believe it, 6 years I've had this!!! Can I get another one into the room, where's my measuring tape!!! Awesome.

This is so good you see a space and wonder what you can buy to fit in!!

Yes it really is that good, and dead easy to put together. Right now I have a 47" television and laptop on the top shelf, a Korg workstation which begins with a K, a PDU, my audio interface, a monitor splitter all in the rack, a multitude of stuff under the desk including a mixer, a large plastic archive box of cables and a printer.

Seriously stable, you just wonder how you got on before.

Amazing value

This is a great value product, if you're looking for a workstation/desk for a small studio or home studio, look no further.

I am by no means DIY efficient, so it took me around an hour and a half of slowly building it to make sure I did it all properly, the instructions are concise and picture based but very clear and easy to follow in 4 steps. It instructs to not fully tighten all screws until the end, however this will be very difficult to do once you've flipped it over, so i advise to fully tighten the lower parts screws just beforehand.

Usage wise, the open space at the bottom is perfect for a PC tower, boxes of cables, and anything else you want to use it for, design wise less is more here.

The main shelf currently houses my 25 key MIDI keyboard to the side, keyboard, mouse, and 2i4 audio interface. There is a lot more space for extra things, I have had my laptop on this shelf when transferring data and it fits comfortably, so if you're planning on using a laptop/macbook with a second monitor on top then rest assured you'll have no issues.

The top shelf has ample space for 2 monitor speakers and a 23 inch monitor screen, with some room to spare.

Great !

Best table ever. My monitors are perfectly placed. Though the screen is a bit high up so this table is not recommended for shorter people no joke. Else it is very good and I like it!

It would be nice if the higher table was a little lower because I believe most people are not comfortable with the height. If the table had a lowering function it would be a 5-star without a doubt.

There are many slots were you can place different pre-amps and stuff. I will probably never need as many as available but still good for those who needs them.

Great Desk

This is a very good desk for the money, it is well constructed and easy to move as it's on castors. There is ample work surface area for most needs and room for several items of rack equipment, the only criticism is that there is no keyboard shelf.

For my needs OK

This is a small desk, for one desktop monitor and two monitor speakers. If we put two screens, then have to buy separately monitor speaker stands. For my needs is OK.

Fab bit of kit

I've owned this desk since 2007 (although it only seems like last year to be fair) and it's still an integral part of my home studios setup. There's plenty of space on the top shelf for my 24" monitor and yamaha HS7 monitors, whilst the main shelf holds my rack gear (although I don't have much of this now as I tend to do most stuff in the box).

The black bottom shelf holds my audio PC and boxes of cables/adapters and the whole lot is on castors meaning it's easily moved, a godsend when you want to re-arrange your space.

I'd previously looked at custom built desks, but I'm so glad I went with this option!

why not?

This is a superb piece of sturdy, well made, studio furniture and represents excellent value for money. Assembled very quickly and 6 months on has not got a scratch on it. The veneer laminate is very strong and resists damage really well. I look at Ikea and Ebay to get something that was close but there was nothing. Superb!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS DESK

Not happy at all with this studio desk. I spent an hour putting it together and when I was about to put my sound modules in the rack only my old TC Finalizer "fits". I have to modify my modules rack ears to make them fit. Extremely unprofessional product. Avoid!

one sturdy studio desk!

Looks very stylish and professional in my control room. Great build and feels solid. Love that its on wheels, the back is very accessible for re-wiring and installing new equipment. If you run out of rack space, i bought the RTA producer cart to go along side it. It matches and looks aesthetically good.

creation station review

Great quality for the money but one slight down is the top shelf for your monitoring needs is a tad to high.since i have been using it a while i have developed a stiff neck so i may change for something else.

apart from that pretty good like i said.

StudioRTA Creation Station

Ordered this for my new home studio setup, had a few pieces of rack gear that I wanted to rack mount so this desk was ideal. Very easy to assemble and put it together in an hour!

Great Desk

This is a large desk ideal for using in your recording studio. I use this in my room as a gaming desk and as a work desk. The large surface space is great for making you feel like there is loads of room from where you sit to where the monitor is. Made very well you wont be disappointed with the quality of this product!
