Amazing Value!

I needed a new set of headphones for tracking guitars in my apartment and I didn't have a big budget so I thought I would take a chance on these, and I am really glad I did! I also use a set of ATH-M40x's and I find I like the Superlux's more. They sound a little bass heavy compared to other headphones but as long as you are aware it's not really a problem. I have probably put in about 200+ hours on these headphones and they still look and feel brand new so I think they will probably last. I will definitely be buying more pairs in the future!

Top quality at a bargain price

Unbelievable quality, this is WAAAY better than my old Sennheiser HD500 (they cost around 200EUR). Best sounding headphones I have tested so far. Buy them, you won't regret it!

Great quality for the price

I bought this headphone as a recommendation from rtings.com under the cheap option for critical listening and i was really surprised how this headphones sounded good. Of course there is better headphones out there but you have to pay for them. (I am student so i can't afford to but high priced headphones)

I am no expert in audio production and technicalities, but i like to hear some decent sound. I am pleased with the quality of the audio production.

I found the that sometimes the high notes or the treble may be sometimes be off in certain songs, but it can be ignored.

One thing i have to mention is the ear caps. The only thing that bothers is that you have to perfectly put them around your ear, because if they are slightly shifted, there will be a loss of audio, but this can be fixed quickly by adjusting the headphones on your ear. And if you wear glasses you may loose some of the audio through your ear.

Overall i recommend this headphone for people who doesn't want to pay a lot and get some good audio.

I hope you find this review helpful.

excellent headphones

excellent headphones, great value. Fits perfectly over-ear, good sound, light weighted.

Great for practicing

I use them for practicing (e-drums, keyboards etc) and I believe they are a great value for that use (they are comfortable as well).

I wouldn't use them for mixing or producing though, compared them to some other more expensive headphones I own and realised they are not that accurate

Still great value considering the price

For the price HD-681 is fantastic value, which gets 5/5 total stars.

I used to have HD-681 B - which have the linear reproduction. Those sounded kind of dead and shallow, while HD-681 are bass boosted and kind of fun.

Great value for the money. End except for cable, they are quite durable.

Unbeatable for the price.

They sound pretty good, i did change the earpads and added some extra foam behind them to make it even better as originally they are not very soft and the highs are a bit sharp. They are much more comfortable than ath-m50x's which where the ones i used most before, and sound pretty much equally good.

Very good price-quality ratio

This is a very good product in terms of price-quality ratio. I haven't experienced very high quality headphones, but the sound of these ones is exceptional.

First of all are pretty comfy, they adapt quite tightly to your head, which is nice, and they seal pretty good. The length of the cable is perfect (if you are playing the guitar stand up) and it is very nice to have the Jack adaptor include (so you can plug them in different devices, phone, laptop, audio interface, etc.). In terms of sound, they capture nicely the bass and it feels deep and clear.

Nothing better for that price, I would buy again!!

Better than expected!

If you are looking for AKG 240s, buy these instead.

I have at least 5 PRO brands to compare to. For the price these are unbeatable.

Super?

I've got to admit that i was not expecting much from this headphones.

Let's just say that for the price they do the job.

When it comes to this kind of products the more you pay the better the sound reproduction will be.

so overall ...good enough.

Super choice

A super choice for a little money. It works better than more advanced models.

OK for the price, if you have small ears

I bought them for use on my small guitar amp for practicing, but tested them with some easy listening across more or less many genres (classical, jazz, metal, rock, electronica).

TL;DR: Sound OK-ish, comfort should be OK - for small ears.

The sound is better than expected, but I didn't expect too much. Maybe I'm just getting deaf enough, but I think they are acceptable -- slightly shrill at the high end, and too intense for the bass, but OK. (I don't do any mixing at all, but I doubt they would be usable for this.)

Comfort is a mixed bag. High pressure on the head (higher than Beyerdynamic 770, for instance), and not adaptable. For me they are slightly on-ear, not over... This is exacerbated due to me having glasses, so the (high) pressure on my ear is felt more strongly as well. So, not really usable for extended listening sessions, though for an hour it's good enough. For smaller ears this should not be any problem at all.

You won't find better headphones for 20 euros

You can't expect high quality from 20 euros studio headphones.

It's completely different in this case.

Good quality materials (except the ear pads which makes one a little sweaty if used for a long time).

Lows, mediums and highs are all perfectly sensible.

You can even use them as HiFi headphones, enjoyble.

Totally clean sound, no extrinsical noises.

Don't think just buy and try them. Worth every penny.

Great for the price.

Looked for an inexpensive set of headphones for use with a digital piano. Tried a few including AKG K52's Wich were rubbish. Got these. Excellent sound. Absolute bargain at this price.

Much much better then expected

When I was buying the items for setting up my home studio I was trying to keep to my a budget and bought these as for my guests. I was absolutely blown away by the sound quality of them.

When you have the volume up quite high they don't distort the music compared to another well known brand.

I have pair of headphones for the last 10 years that cost me a lot of money and these have by far a much better sound quality. I would strongly recommend these headphones to anyone considering buying them as you wont regret getting them.

Great headphones

This is probably the best headphones you may buy for this amount of money. A bit harsh on top end and made not from premium materials. But who cares? These are far superior when compared to consumer grade headphones from popular electronic appliances brands. So if you need to play your instrument silently (well, almost - it's semi-open) at home not disturbing anybody, or play games on your PC this - it is the best choice for comfort, sound and the price.

The headphones are very good for their price, the only thing that I don't like so much is the pads, you definitely should buy replacing pads. But for the sound quality and price, they are the best on the market!

Great for The Price

Using these for my e-drums. Sound quality is okay, the highs are a bit too high & the mids are kinda muffled, bass is about where it should be. Since the design is half-open, to block out the sound of the sticks hitting the drums, you'll have to use a pretty high volume. A bit bulky all in all, but build quality is strong.

Good for practice, but wouldn't consider it for professional studio use.
