Simple Idea Generator

I use this pedal for coming up with composition ideas on the guitar (or my synth as well)

Great pedal for coming up with new ideas. The "redo" function is particularly very helpful which is not available in a lot of loopers in this price range. It's a small feature but can make tons of difference when writing stuff.

Not the most ideal pedal for performance as expected in this price range. You need to be super sharp when pressing the record/dub switch to get perfect timing. I wouldn't use this for performance.

Mini micro tiny looper

TC Electronic has made an affordable, functional, little looper with the Ditto, and there's not much to complain about it.

I've been using it to experiment with textures and layers, and it's been stellar so far. I've yet to try it at a gig, but at the moment there are no worries wether or not it will deliver, performance-wise.

Of course, given the price tag, there is the thought in the back of my mind wether or not this pedal will last very long, especially after reading about some long term issues with it. But I think that even if it doesn't, it's cheap enough to buy another one, or upgrade it if looping ends up being your thing.

To sum it up, basically, it's simple to use, it has good sound quality, enough time on tap to play a bunch with it before it overloads, and it doesn't break the bank.

So, this is one happy camper right here :)

EDIT: After a few months, the footswitch is on the edge of breaking, it seems. Several times that I step on it to record a second layer, and it just stops, or I step twice quickly to stop and it just deletes the whole loop. But still, it's ok for home use.

Amazing Product

This product is incredibly fun to use, has a small footprint and is perfect for anyone who wants to have a go at a looper. The only downside is it does not have different channels.

IT does what it is supposed to do .I use it in the clean channel and I can loop all I need to create my music (I mostly use it for backing tracks and harmonies ) .Now, if you want to get distortion involved then it gets a little bit more complicated , cause if you use only one cabinet it will not work (It will , but you will not know what you are listening to ) . But you can loop clean r crunchy and engage the distortion after to play along .Good choice overall .

An excellent tool to help players of all levels improve.

After a few months of use the looper has turned into my favorite pedal.

It's helped me put together bits and pieces that I have learned in the past and gave me fluidity in my playing. I started creating my own music rather than just learning licks.

It's remarkably easy to use and will help beginners improve as well as give experienced players new ideas to get you out of that rut.

Finally I want to say that this pedal is a lot of fun. I love creating a groove, layer different rhythm patterns and play melody on top.

I highly recommend it!

Amazing quality!

As soon as you open the box you get amazed by the quality of the product. You can feel that it is well made and that it will last for a long time. Looper functions are easy to use and do what they're expected to: loop! No extra functions that are barely used. Only the basic and necessary. Really recommend it!

Does what it's supposed to

Easy to use, and rugged construction. I use it for writing guitar parts and jamming by myself.

It's better than I am

The sound is great as is the ease of operation, I'm just too much of a klutz to use it properly on stage. Great fun for practicing ideas in the house. I've also used it for generating random loops live when it's been getting all Fripper-tronics on the audience.

Best choice on market

Brought it a year ago, but forgot review :)

So this little beast help a lot for composing and practising.

Whole process of using it very inspiring. Just because it helps you don't miss that riff and loop it perfectly.

Overall, very good pedal. I like it, never will sell or replace. If I lose it, will buy same thing over and over!!!!

Great little looper!

I use this on my pedal board for my upright bass - occasionally I'll use it to create a bit of background atmosphere in more ambient tunes (loop a bit of bowing for example). It's not a complicated pedal and it doesn't have loads of functionality but it is simple and straightforward, easy to use live and with good sound quality. It would be a great pedal to start with if you wanted to experiment with looping or like me simply do not have huge demands on a looping pedal. Highly recommended and great fun!

looper

I use this looper for practice mostly. i run chords changes and sequences and go about with my practice routine trying out new harmonic ideas, grooves, scales and intervalic relations.

it is a basic looper with only one volume knob which is more than i need for my use, sometimes i use it in live situations especially in post rock ambient style.

there is nothing i do not like about this pedal and i believe it is pretty straight forward. This pedal does not do delay or feedback it is a straight forward looper.

TC ELectronic Ditto

I really went for the ditto because I wanted the simplest good quality looper possible because my intention was to spin in atmospheric washes of sounds live rather than do the ubiquitous looped passages that I find actually rather annoying, but once acquired I have used the ditto extensively as a practice device and even found some pleasure in the said annoying looping too. I can't fault the pedal in anyway, its construction is solid, it's compact and easy to use and its sound quality is very good. The obvious downside to these mini pedals is that they have to use an external power supply (obviously) but hey you can't have everything...where would you put it.

Top pedal!

The Ditto looper is one of the easiest loopers to use on the market. It has only 1 button and a control for the output volume. I use it for guitar practice, songwriting when writing multiple layers (sometimes up to 7 layers), and occasionally when I do solo shows.

Pros:

- Very small, therefore doesn't take space on the pedalboard

- True bypass!!! Very clean, doesn't add colour at all to your signal

- Simple to use. One button operation and a master volume

- Cheap

Cons:

- None (considering the price and build quality)

I would recommend this product if you want a good introduction to looping pedals.

Very good pedal for the price

A lot of features for such a small pedal. Doesn't take much space on your pedal board. The price is very good and the pedal is very easy to use..

I would not recommend it for someone who is looking for a sophisticated looper model since there are'nt a lot of features. There is no toneprint.

It is excellent as an entry level product and for simple uses such as working on new ideas.

Just loop

I found this Ditto very nice, with all I need in a loop pedal, an no-nonsense.

Excellent!

Excellent pedal, very small but with huge power!

You can pretty much do everything you want with just one button! The signal is super clean.. overall a fantastic loop

Having just one button might be tricky to use, considering you have to memorize how many times clicking it for which amount of time will do what... And that takes a while to learn, but after you learn it it's a pretty effective and easy tool that doesn't take any space in your pedalboard.

Only advise is learn how to use the pedal before taking it to a live show!

good stuff!

This is my first loop. It has a very good quality (as a true bypass pedal it doesn't change your instrument's sound). Very easy to use: you can find small paper of instructions, but it took some little time to get used to. Great value for the money, excellent (not only) for beginners

Exactly what you expect

This looper pedal is what you expect of it. It's small, well built and it does what it is supposed to and that's it. It doesn't have ANY extra feature or anything like that, but it sounds good enough, though the one button thing is a bit tricky to get used to.

However, for this price, it's a steal.
