the t.bone SSM 6 5-stars Reviews
Works perfectly
It did lack a 5/8 to a 3/8 converter but this is not a problem since i hade one to spare. Just be aware of this.
Otherwise my Sontronics Solo fits just fine.
Great high quality
I use this for my drum mics, snare , kicks and every classic mic like 57 .
Does a great job !
Works as promised!
Using this shock mount with t.bone MB 60, they work great and the noise from the table doesn't transfer to the mic. Recommended.
Solid and cheap, the outer ring made of metall, some other parts are made of plastic but seem to be solid enough to be reliable. The thing is quite large and visible but still not too heavy. The suspension effect seems to be be good. Probably perfect for more or less horizontally positioned mics of different diameters. I wouldn´t recommend it for heavy mics positioned vertically.
Superb Quality item. Very reasonably priced. Thank you.
Versatile shock mount just try it to see how good it. I'm delighted I purchased this item and would have no hesitation in buying again if needs be.
great product
what can you expect for that price.. its great and nicely build. not top quality but does that job
Strudy and cost effective
Once you put your mic in this it is pretty much secure. The only thing I would improve is the hinge. Which could have been also made out of metal. Great product overall.
How is it this cheap ?!
Comming from similarly priced chinese shock mount, this thing does amazing! Not only does it help with bump pickups when touching the stand, but it also seemed to isolate the bumps comming from the desk that my arm is mounted on.
The screw is wide enough and clamps easily, and the mechanism seems not to require lots of tension to keep in one place.
Build quality:
The outer ring is made out of metal that does not resonate with bumps and the outer rubber bands are thick and are covered in isolation (think: heavy duty hair bands).
The inner ring is hard(ish) plastic and the bands that actually hold the microphone are naked thinner soft "wet-ish" rubber.
The connector is made from thick plastic and the screw hole is made via copper insert.
Everything seems to be made to last, but the only concearn I have are the soft naked inner rubber bands, which might "dry out" after a while... but I guess that's why you get two spares in the box and I'm sure you can buy equivalent bands in any of your local hardware stores.
Conclusion:
If you need a shock mount: GET. THIS. NOW.
Amazing value for money!!
I use this for my AT2020 and thanks to this elastic cords stands well and safe! The only not good issue i have is that it takes me time to fit my mic nice in there, but the specs says max 40mm and my AT2020 is 52mm, thats why. Amazing product for its price!
the t.bone SSM 6
Отличные держатели за свои деньги. В него помещаются не только микрофоны указанного диаметра, как к примеру мои Lewitt LCT040 но и более толстый RODE M3.
It has a good fit on my AKG D5 S mic and all the noises coming from my desk were cancelled. Initially I was using a regular table mount with some rubber feet, but every time I was touching the desk I could see the VU-meters raising. These nasty noises have stopped since I got this shock-mount. For its price is very good indeed, definitely recommended.
The outer shock-mount is metallic (aluminum perhaps), so it is solid and should last.
Excellent Value: Recommended
Excellent quality for the price. Does exactly what is required, sturdy and reliable
For home studio, more than enough.
It is working with any mic size. I tested it with standard dynamic and condenser mics. Works like a charm. Ideal in combination with mic desk stand for your home studio.
Sturdy and inexpensive!
Matches perfectly with the Fun Generation mic stand!
It holds the microphone very nicely.
Much more practical and inexpensive than bigger models that I've seen.
Go for it!!
Im satisfied
Good for using cardioid mics, stable, good made and price suitable.
I can recommend for professional use or stage anyway.
This is a great shock mount
I thought it was going to be really flimsy, but it's actually really balanced between being too flimsy and being too static. It does the job on my SM57 and on other Shure mics that I've tried
Surprisingly nice!
Seeing the photos I was expecting a regular sized plastic, e-bay grade shochmount, but it's in fact metal, big and sturdy!
Its size makes it useable for almost any mic, but it's especially good for handheld dynamics, it's the best mount for my Sontronics Solo.
I only have it for some weeks, so I don't know how it will become after a lot of use but for that price I recommend it without a doubt.
Handy to have kicking around the studio.
I bought this to have a more universal mic holder.
Pro's - This will accept most mic types and provides a pretty firm grip once the mic is in place.Very good value for money.
Con's - The build quality is good for light to medium use but i think that's reflected in the price.
I find myself reaching for this cradle every once in a while and i'm glad i have it.Good swiss army knife for your studio, large or small.
Great value solution
Great solution for holding microphones in a very fair price , perfect value for money item, good quality.
Better than expected
I use this product with Røde NT5 microphones in my home studio. I bought these because Røde does not supply shockmounts with the NT5 set.
Pros:
The outer ring is made of a metal, which is really sturdy. The shockmount is quite well built and holds the microphones well. The shockmounts include an extra set of elastic bands.
Cons:
When in 90 degrees position, the mics are a bit too heavy and slide down the elastic bands.
