Thomann CTG-10 Clip Tuner Reviews
Feels very cheap, but gets the job done
As in the title, the plastic feels cheap, but it's easy to use and it works as it should. A great tuner for the price.
Canât tune my bass
The tuner works fine on guitar but can’t tune my bass. I have to find the perfect spot before it works. when I try to tune my bass the tuner will show that the bass is in tune, but it isn’t. I can’t recommend it for bass players but it works fine for guitars.
Does the job
I bought this a while ago and haven't used it much because I use my phone but, the tuner easy to use, and its clip-on design ensures that it stays securely attached to the headstock while you play. The display is bright and easy to read, with clear and accurate tuning indicators that make it simple to tune your instrument even in low light conditions.
Good for the price, but not perect
Handy little clip-on tuner which I use for my acoustic, electric, and bass guitars.
I like the chromatic settings the best, and it is generally quite easy to use and accurate.
However, I have found on my guitars that the tuner doesn't pick up on the lower strings, and I often have to pluck a natural harmonic on the 12th fret in order for the tuner to respond on the lowest three strings. It's fine as long as my instruments are intonated properly, but not ideal.
Still, for the low price, it's manageable and I will keep using it until I decide to invest in something more reliable for my pedalboard.
Works fine
Not particularly quick to get a read, but does its job for a very low price. Clearly readable and easy to operate.
A bit buggy but its good
It does the job, even if it sometimes gets stuck on notes
Good price, not much on performance
Mine is a 7 string
From high E to D it works good and quick
For A and low E the detection is super wonky, sometimes it detects even a valid D for my low E
Low B is completely undetected
Very good little tuner
I can't recommend this little tuner enough. It is a must have for each of your guitar cases. Mine is 2 years old and is still working away.
Super easy to handle, accurate and looks good.
Great, but...
Like most other budget tuners for me it had trouble identifying the low E on guitar.
This thing works great!
Inexpensive and easy to use. When you order your guitar or bass just add one of these to your cart. At this price you can have a tuner for every instrument!
Simple, useful, inexpensive
Practical little clip tuner, I keep it in my acoustic guitar's case so that I can tune it anywhere. Not as overly accurate as a polytune, but gets the job perfectly done if you want a quick tune when you're noodling around
Totally useless for D or lower tuning
Tried it today first time. I play in D standard. It doesn’t sense the F on the third string. Jumps between G and E (WTF?). And the two lower strings isn’t even detected.
Don’t but this shit.
A must have
Super easy to handle, accurate and looks good. Fully rotating head and automatic switch off. Great little gadget all in all. Absolutely must have.
Clip tuner
Does perfect,what it must!
Wouldn't buy it for a 5 string bass
Great value and works fine on acoustic guitar and normal 5 string bass. No use at all on my new Harley Benton MM-85A SB Deluxe Series. The B string simply doesn't register, no matter where the tuner is clipped. E string is a bit hit and miss. But as a result no good for a 5-string I would say.
As already said in another review: NOT recommended for a bass guitar
II can't say much about the longevity of this item, but it sure is useless for an electric bass guitar as the tuner doesn't catch the lower frequencies accurately.
I packed it back after 10 minutes trying to tune in, then gave it to the kid's neighborhood who is learning guitar.
Great for guitar.
Works perfectly for guitar, but struggled slightly with the low notes on bass.
Very useful
For this price it is excellent
Serviceable basic tuner!
This one came with a starter kit. There is not much to say about this, it's a serviceable tuner that gets the job done, can either be used with a guitar or bass. I use it as a back-up and it works just fine.
It picks up on the notes easily and it's easy to replace batteries. It does feel a bit flimsy and clunky but it is not really an issue considering that I just use it before my practice sessions.
