Thomann CTG-10 Clip Tuner Reviews
Good tuner
Not ideal for professional use
Easy to use.
A very cheap tuner but does the job perfectly.
Very good price for very good tuner.
This tuner is surprisingly well engineered and very user friendly. It was very easy to change modes to the desired one and it lights up green when you are tuned perfectly.
Not so bad
For the money it is very very good tuner it does my bass and guitar and i am very happy with it
Works as it should. No complaints
Very small, but easy to see screen. Works with various instruments.
Great for Acoustic & Bass
I have bought the Tuner for my E-Bass, tuning works well and battery has been ongoing for over a year and counting. But it also works with my acoustic guitar, the tuner automatically detects what kind of guitar you're using (4 strings, 6 strings) and adjusts the scale detection accordingly. Very happy with it so far.
Rather useless tuner
An incredulously pointless tuner. I have a dreadnought, so it's not like there's any lack of resonance on the guitar. Tried clipping it everywhere, even directly on the sound hole. Yet, it somehow doesn't pick up on anything unless I'm hammering on the strings. Works especially dreadfully with lower notes. At an age with many app alternatives for tuning instruments, I'd advise you to keep your money in your pockets or spend more to get a decent tuner.
Slow responce
Better than nothing but a slow response so I replaced it.
Disappointing
My model is dark the most of the time just emmitin a briht light when you hit the right sound. If you're trying to tune your guitar in the dark, it can be very challenging. Tunning itself could be faster.
I've had better results with a mobile phone app.
Fantastic tuner value
I still can't believe what a great value this little tuner is. It works really well with my electric guitar, and is a fantastic tool to keep in my gig bag. It's extremely small, weighs next to nothing, and it tunes perfectly. It's absurdly easy to use and super fast and accurate. For this price, you really can't go wrong here.
Best little tuner in its class!
Super light weight but easy to read. Back lighting is perfect.
Simple but working, get the job done.
You may meet some problems
I have a 7-string guitar and it gets really tricky when I want to tune the 7-th. If we speak about standard B tuning for it, you may tune it without minor problems. But if you are using lower tunings, you most probably will have issues with tuning it this way.
Does the job!
I use it for tuning 5 string bass, guitar and violin, great feature, bright screen, very seable in the sun
Too inaccurate
I was looking for something more convenient than my Korg CA2, and a clip-on tuner seemed like a good idea.
This one was not so good, as it oftens shows the wrong string; G when I'm trying to tune D, and so on. Sometimes you have to fiddle with the string for a long time for it to appear correctly on the tuner.
So this particular tuner is not more convenient to use than my Korg CA2.
It is also not as accurate and reliable as the CA2.
On the positive side: it is small, the features are OK, and it is very easy to handle.
Perhaps I should try a bigger brand, but I don't feel like sinking more money into this clip-on idea.
So I'm back to using my CA2 ...
Does the job
Can handle guitar and bass close to what you need for the money. Bass can be hit and miss but gets you in tune
It works
It works, but the sensitivity is not very good, it confuses the strings and does not react to the cut. In general, you can use it.
Ideal.
Does what it says on the tin!
Basic
It's ok, but slow and I could only get it to work with standard E-tuning.
It's pretty bad
It's missing note names and its always correct
