Worth every cent - Especially on sale!

This is my second pair of K-240s now and I'd gladly get a third when this one gives out! I'm not much of an audiophile, but I know these are some great headphones.

Firstly, the audio quality is more than enough for someone like me who uses them 24/7 while using the computer.

Secondly, both the cable and earpads are easily replaceable and customizable to your desires.

Last - but definitely not least - they last you a while. I had my first pair for about four years (during which they were in excessive use nearly every day) before impulsively deciding to get myself a new pair as they were on sale and my first one was starting to show signs of wear.

Definitely do not regret getting these again!

Nekem maximálisan megfelel.

Ennél jobbra nem vágyom, valószínűleg nem is hallanám, ha van jobb, a különbséget :)

Studio headphones

They are okay. But you can hear the sound from them. They are open, not closed. It's not for people who will be recorded.

It will do the job, you can't hear the sound when you will record, but for that job, AKG K271MkII are amazing!

Iconic studio headphones.

The K240's are legendary headphones seen in many studios. They are open back so no good for monitoring near microphones but I like them for mixing although the jury is out on whether they are suited for that. I think they are. If you want headphones purely for listening to HiFi audio then you can do better in this pricerange. For instance, I also have the Audio Technica ATH-M20x (closed backs) and they definitely sound better, especially with bass, but it all depends on what you're going to use them for.

Good quality for its price range!

Sound quality is good. It has a long cable which helps you to use it while walking in the room, playing your guitar, away from connected devices.

Good studio headphones with one big disadvantage

I selected these because it has a detachable cable, which is pretty convenient in a studio environment. I didn't figure out in the beginning (and it's not seen in the photos) that the plug is not a standard 3.5 mm jack but is a custom (AKG) plug. So not any AUX cable would fit, as I assumed first. I thought I would buy a longer standard cable to replace the original one. But not possible. Bummer :(

Great for recording vocals

I had been recording my vocals with closed headphones for years and have been struggling with pitch control on louder pushed vocals. These open-backed and very nutral sounding headphones made it possible to both hear the backing track and both my in-ear and room voice, without any weird disconnect when singing loud. Great value and for me open or semi-open headphones are now a must for recording vocals. Some sound engineers might not like them because there is some bleed but they need to get over themselves

Very flat, perfect for control. The price is absolutely good for the quality.

Fantastic for the price.

These have a very flat response, and the fact that they are semi-open help out with stereo imaging. Also there's less ear fatigue. Perhaps not the most suitable for "fun" music listening, though it really depends on what you want from your headphones. These, coupled with something other than your integrated laptop sound card do give a proper rendition of whatever you are listening to. You will definitely feel the difference between low and high bit rate sound. Overall, enought has been said about these headphones where I really don't have anything new to add, they're good. Only thing I wish was different was that they weren't so relatively plasticky feeling.

There is not a lot to say: inexpensive, comfortable, high quality and good looking. I absolutely recommend these headphones.
