AKG K-240 Studio Reviews
Reference headphones
I've been using these headphones as my reference pair for the past 10 years and they still work in perfect conditions. The sound is very neutral witch is perfect to reach a well balanced mix. They are also very comfortable what is a requirement if you go through long mixing sessions.
Very good for the price
They sit well on ears and the quality is fantastic for the price.
Very good headphones
I use these for playback of my digital piano when exercising. Good sounding headphones that are comfortable to wear. The piano sounds more realistic through the headphones than through the built-in speakers. No audiophile quality but very good for my purpose at the price being asked.
Use
Fantastic Headphones, clear sound, lightweight, nice look.
Handle with care!
Sound quality is perfect! No coloration whatsoever. Very comfortable, been using them for 2, 3h straight, with no fatigue to the ears or head, but beware that the fit is auto, you cannot adjust it as you please.
I do have concernes about the quality of the materials. I'm quite afraid I will break them if I'm not extremely careful taking them off.
I'm glad with the purchase, but wouldn't buy them again due to the fragile touch and feeling. Sound is great though, very clear.
AKG K-240 Studio
This headphones are pretty robust and very comfortable, but the sound is not so good, especially the low end. AKG K-240 mkII are little expensive but they are much much better sounding headphones.
i use every day
clear sound
full confort
i will buy a same again
Very satisfied. I use it to monitor my DAW and it gives me pure fidelity, clear ambient and confort. Connected directly to my stage piano it gives me all the frequencies present with linearity. I recommend the AKG K-240, they have a very good price/quality
Excellent choise!
I've bought these headphones for tracking and for sure I did right! They are so comfortable and sound great! Also, very satisfying build quality for their price. I definately recommend them.
I use this pair of headphones as an all purpose kind of phones, the sound is clear and balanced, and honestly I like it very much, I've been using them for a year and the built quality is good i'm not a very careful guy with my equipment and they have resisted very well.
They are semi open headphones and if you like to listen music with a little bit of volume, the person next to you will be listening too because they bleed a lot.
I don't know why but the earpads, and the headband get very hot on our head after a 30m of use and on warm days they will make you sweat.
The Sound is good the built quality too but they are not very comfortable because of how hot they get in your head.
Good headphones for home studio
I bought them for mixing and using in home studio. They are semi open so I can hear door ring, phone or some other important sounds while I am listening music or working in DAW. Sound quality is good and neutral.
Pros: Inexpensive good sounding headphones.
Cons: These doesn't have spiral cable.
The ultimate choice for a home studio
The high quality headphones that can both be used for voice recording and mixing. The cable on just one side is very handy. Good sound characteristics, comfortable to wear. Great universal choice for a home studio!
OK for this price... But not very impressed about them
Very nice headphones
I was surprised by the way these headphones are made. The sound is nice and crisp, they're not too heavy nor light. Although, I would highly suggest you investing in beyerdynamics DT770 ear pads. THey're much more comfortable than the original ones
Just Great!
These are very comfortable phones! Sound great! Very detailed sound, one can hear all instruments very well! Even though they are flat response I sure can listen to music with them. I prefer to hear all the details rather than having to listen to boosted stuff as on HiFi phones. Very happy and can recommend. If these are good for Ry Cooder they are certainly good for me too!
These are first studio like headphones i have ever bought for my amp when im playing guitar. Anyway, the sound is nice and clear trough my amp, also the fit on the head is really good and they feel really comfortable, also they self adjust which is convenient. For the price of these headphones we are getting quite a lot. Only thing that feels kind a cheap is the they have alot of plastic like material, but that is not a deal breaker. Overall i recommend these.
Great
Great value, very very nice sound range and definition
Not bad for the price
Getting some crackling at what i would call not high levels of sound, wasn't expecting the best so got what i paid for.
very comfy when wearing and over all finish feels great
Good But Needs Improvements
Sounds great into a iphone or a laptop and it doesn't need any amplification. So it works very well just for listening to music. Giving you favorite tracks a pleasent sound and a fresh start.
I would consider buying a smaller helix cable to use as a alternative but i think the one that comes with the 240 is good for the recording process.
They are comfortable and look nice.
I feel i will use them for many years to come.
A down side - They need to improve on the quality of materials ,construction and details !
Use them all the time
Very nice for vocalists and other people who rely on intonation. Because of the design you hear quite a bit of "you" while the spill is not too bad.
