For OH:s in this price range, these aren't bad at all. Sound is a bit cold, and you have to be careful with the placing. The cutting option was handy. For my band's pre production needs, these worked up just fine.

Many uses for this mic

although a tiny bit noisy, these mics are a great all round set, I have used them on everything from studio vocals to drum overheads (and even as a kick and snare mic in a pinch!) and they always deliver a reasonable, clear sound

Excellent for the price

I bought these mikes specifically for use as drum overheads. I have used them in an XY, and AB spaced position, as well as using the Recorderman technique - see the end of this review for a brief explanation.

The mics are well made, and feel solid. They provide a three-position switch for flat, low-pass or -10dB pad response. The -10dB pad is particularly useful for miking loud percussive instruments such as a drum kit. The cardiod response is good for minimising off-axis response, which is useful if your recording space is less than stellar or too boxy.

They have proven solid and reliable performers. Their response time is good which makes them very well suited for percussive instruments. Frequency wise, they have a good response which is not over-hyped at the high-end like some other cheap mikes. Noise hasn't been an issue. Stereo wise, they provide a solid, coherent image which I find particularly appealing.

My favoured setup is Recorderman overhead drum mic technique. Basically one of the mikes is placed directly above the centre of the snare drum about two drum sticks in height. The other one is placed roughly above the drummer's shoulder, on the floor tome side, also pointing towards the centre of the snare, at an equal distance. This provides a balanced sound for the entire kit, without too much room sound. You can vary the position of the second mike to get more/less volume from the bass drum.

Excellent value, and a bargain at the price. I would certainly buy them again.

C2 Microphone

I was really surprised by the build and quality of the microphones, They are not what I had expected for such a budget price. I would have expected to pay a lot more if I had been looking at this build quality in a store.

Sound pick up is very directional with reasonable isolation. They have a good frequency response range, with an excellent voice reproduction.

Use either as a matched stereo pair or as a singleton and spare. I will defiantly be investing in another pair soon.

Behringer C2 Stereoset

These were purchased primarily for amplifying a mixed choir of about 15 men and women, in an environment which did not really allow for fixed microphones. I set these up on a stand using the supplied bar which allows you to mount a stereo pair on the one stand.

Initially I set this up with both mics pointed directly at the choir. Results were pretty good, with a light, airy quality to the reproduction through the sound desk. However, these really came into their own when I used them as an XY pair, each mic pointing at the opposite corner of where the performers were... this gave a much fuller sound.

These mics have been used regularly over the last 3 years with no issues, despite the stand having to be regularly moved around. I would definitely recommend them.

Great mics ... highly versatile

I bought these to use primarily as 'occasional' drum overheads for my 4, 5 and 9 piece swing, dance and party bands (I have two sets).

The sound quality is great, consequently I have also used them as sectional mics for saxes, trombones and trumpets in my 9-piece and full Big Band setups. Others in the band were very impressed with these mics and went on to buy some for themselves. Great sound, great value ... highly recommended.

Behringer budget Condenser Mics for Drumming

I am using these as overheads for my Accoustic Kit. The reason I went for them was the hight SPL that they can manage, therefore no distortion from Drumming at any level. They are very well presented an come with a good case to keep things together. The Stereo Mic holder and adaptor were very welcome and this works well. At first I through they were a little dull sounding. I switched on the FET stages in them and this has not caused any distortion but has brightened up the sound. To be honest, at the price I think they are a bargain and work very well for me.

A Good Set of Mics

I bought this product three years ago and have since used them on a number of occasions.

Having previous used the Behringer B2 mics I purchased this stereo set for centre sound reinforcement. I have been surprised at the quality of the audio that these mics pick up, they great for both live and recording use and the mic stand adapter is great as it reduces the need for two stands. The mics themselves are a good quality. The all metal body of the mics makes them much more robust and I have also found the switchable attenuation useful.

Overall for those working on a budget, doing home recording or running a small PA, I would highly recommend this product.

Good mics for the price

Insanely good for the price!

I bought these for use on drum overhead and was very suprised by the sound i got. I bought them with the view that if they weren't what i needed then i could always sell them and that £35 wasn't a massive investment. But theyre my favourite mics for drum overheads in my collection. My past experiences with behinger gear hasnt been great but these seem brilliant.

I also had chance to try these on an acoustic guitar where they didn't perform as well as they had on drum overheads but still produced a very usable sound. They didn't perform very well as a vocal mic but they seem to be an invaluable mic for beginners and anyone working on a budget. Would definitely recommend

An excellent mic set for the price

I bought these when I first got into recording for tracking drums. I still use these mics now.

They are great for stereo sources such as a drum kit, piano or choir as well as mono sources.

I have used these mics for drums, piano, acoustic guitar amongst others.

They give a fairly transparent sound and don't add much tonally.

The first set of these I had broke (one of the mics developed a crackling noise). Behringer were quick to send out a replacement set.

The mics come supplied in a decent carry case and come with a stereo mounting plate and wind guards.

C2 Stereoset

For such a low price these little condenser microphones pack such a good quality sound into them.

Whether its guitar or overheads for drums you are recording the sound quality will never deteriorate from anything but a good clear crisp sound.

Great for transporting around as they come with a compact hard case.

They come with all accessories so no need for any additional cost of equipment apart from XLR's

Would recommend to anyone who wants to produce quality home recordings.

Excellent quality.

I have used this stereo set as both overheads for my drum kit, and for micing up a few choirs and orchestras , and the sound is fantastic!

Very durable, excellent build & quality, and all for a reasonable price.

You wont go wrong with investing in a set or two of these!

A great pair of mics for a great price

I was really happy with these mics.

First of all, they come with a handy little adapter that allows you to connect two mics up to a single mic stand for stereo recording. Two mic stand connectors and two windshields are also provided

For the price you couldn't ask for a better matched stereo set of mics.

I used these Mics to record acoustic guitar in XY configuration. I was previously using an M audio nova mic for recording the guitar and i much prefer the sound of these small diaphram condensers. They capture a cleaner and much less muddy sound of the guitar in my opinion.

These mics may not be fit for audiophiles of the highest degree, but they record acoustic guitar with a very nice stereo depth and with little noise. I am very happy to recommend them

Decent sounding mice for price you cant beat!

Worked with 4 pairs in last years. These little things are one of best budget mics available. Of course they are no Neumanns and such but the price/quality ratio is superb. Good, clear, detailed sound, not muddy at all. Features nice low frequency roll off and -10dB cut. Great build quality, nice, strong metal mics. No cheap plastic crap here. Comes with nice transport case, holders and stereo bar, easy to take them on the road.

I have used them on string orchestra, choir, guitars and as drum overheads in live PA setup, also I have used them to record live acoustic concerts and acoustic guitar in home studio. I highly recommend them if you are on low budget or want a decent sounding mic that you can replace not breaking the bank.

Good mics

I bought these as I was on a budget and wanted to record cymbals individually. They are brilliant for the price but would be better as back ups for a more expensive set of small diaphragm condenser microphones.
