Excellent strings
My favorite electric guitar strings. Long lasting, great quality.
I have them on all my guitars.
strong but soft strings
My favorite set of strings ever.
Although not very thin they are very soft and bendable to play.
pro-nice and rich sound, good for rock or metal.
contro- none to me.
The Standard Choice
These strings combine everything and they do it well.
PROS:
- The sound is excellent
- The price/ performance ratio is really good
- The quality is also really good considering the price and the sound these strings offer.
CONS:
- Can't find any
CONCLUSION:
These strings will serve any guitarist well, and it is not by chance that so many top names use them.
Great strings for metal playing style
Standard Ernie ball quality, great packing, great quality and great for metal and harder style of music. The same strings used Kirk Hammett and that's the proof of quality. Satisfied and I will for sure order this strings again.
Thank you.
A set of great string
Ernie Ball's .11 - .48 is definitely one of my favorite guitar string sets. I've always enjoyed having the high E string a bit thicker while the bottom E medium. The purity in the sound of the strings last a long time, so I highly suggest these.
Pros.
1. Long lasting sound purity. Like I said in the beginning the sound lasts a good amount of time. When doing shows and having rehearsals, a single set lasted me about solid 3 months before I started to notice that the sounds purity is wearing down.
2. Comfortable. Definitely comfortable and plays well. As a guy with thick fingers, these played really well and really comfortably.
3. Durable. I used to play in a Glam Metal band with these, so solo's with intensive bends was an everyday thing. I am still surprised that not once any of these strings broke while playing and doing high bends.
Cons.
1. I don't seem to have any, haha.
Overall, definitely a great set of strings. Ernie Ball strings is my personal "Go To" string manufacturer, if I do not found my personal favorites in a guitar store. If you are trying out different types of strings, try these as well.
The best strings
Well I tried a lot of string brands, I was never convinced except with Ernie Ball.
I mostly play bleus and rock, and Ernie Ball is perfect for that. Great sound, long living and almost unbreakable strings. The price is also interesting regarding other brands.
It's been 10 years now that I play the guitar, and I used Ernie Ball during more then 8 years !
They are sturdy, perfect sound.
I started playing the guitar at the age of 8 years, my string lengths were great, I always tried new strings and nothing suited me, I went to a music store one day and I saw this beautiful purple package and I asked the seller what was this Srings he told me: It's Ernie Ball are very good for rock, blues, metal and have a great clean tone. Ok I'll read them, it occurred to me I was 18 years old. Now I'm 35 years old, and I do not think of another String anymore,
They are sturdy, perfect sound for the music I like to play,
I am happy with them!
I wasn't sure if they are good but they are!
Good sound, good for different tunings, longevive enough if you take care of them and very cheap. What else would you want from a set of chords?
good quality guitar strings
Ernie Ball guitar strings, come nicely packed and give you a good feeling while playing ,with a nice bright sound.
my choice in strings
this strings have a lot of bottom end, especially if you play half step down.
good quality, last very long.
I use ernie ball since I've start playing and they never let me down
Excellent
I usually use 10's but from time to time up to 11's for mainly rhythm gigs.....these are great value, sounding good and seldom snapping even with heavy usage...would be my first choice for live use...
Great Strings
Good output and finishing, tuning stability is good too.
Reasonable strings!
They are cheap so I wouldn't expect them to be as fancy as the cobalt series that I rather prefer. But sound ok overall.
I absolutely love those
For my style of music and my fingers, these strings bring a lot of quality, I find them very easy to play on. Currently I'm using elixir and I can't feel comfortable enough, I think I will buy these again.
Reliable
I made the change from Super Slinkys to Power Slinkys a few months back, and i'll never regret it. These strongs are perfect in any tuning, and as soon as they're on the guitar you can feel how strong they are. They stay in tune really well, and create a nice warm sound despite being a heavier gauge, always going to stick by these strings.
They're quite rough on the finger tips at first, but it doesn't take long to get used to them. Despite not being super slinky they bend really well, and can be used in any genre of music.
good
good strings, nothing special to say. i like the bottom feeling, and the wound g. the top part its a bit too thick (for my style) for bending, but it's up to the player. the sound is good, but I am not an expert so for me it was just a good set of strings
Great standard set of strings
I really like the sound of a new set of there strings and for that I consider this a good value for money.
However I wouldn't recomend these strings for 2 kinds of purposes: to use on a guitar for a long time or to stock large quantities for a long time. The reason being these strings age very rapidly. In a guitar you play 1 hour a day these strings will be wasted in less than 2 weeks. Stored in a dry place and the package completely closed the strings will age (even rust) in less than a 1 year.
Good, mainly for rhythm guitar players?
A good string, does give you more tone due to the heavier gauge. I have tried this out on a Harley Benton 450 Plus and it gives a good base to play rhythm guitar on. One good thing about this gauge and series is that it is a bit more slicker than the Cobalt version of the gauge (both by #Ernie Ball) The Cobalt version feels a bit more sticky to me.
I tried them as other guitarists I knew raved about them. This was one of three sets of EB that I tried and then went back to D'Addario. Strings I guess are a personal choice and these did not work well for me
