Harley Benton G212 Celestion V30 5-stars Reviews
amazing value for money
loved it. V30 2x12 cab for less than what you'd have to pay for two v30s seperately. What's not to love?
Amazing value !
I hook this up to my Orange Dark Terror 15 watt and it's gig ready. Super loud, super high quality sound, sturdy build quality. I had this shipped from Germany to Australia, and don't regret the shipping fee. Great value overall. Remember to break your speakers in gently however.
Well worth it
Well built with steel handles and awesome speakers. Couldn’t believe the sound. Amazing quality for the price.
You have to buy it
What can I say: an excellent and solid cabinet at a price less than the speakers supplied to it. You have to be mad not to buy it.
Pros:
* Has 2 legendary Celestion V30 speakers inside
* Great sounding
* Mono\stereo operation mode
* Comfortable handles on the sides
Minuses:
* Tolex was glued a little inaccurately in one corner
There is nothing better to find for this price.
Best cab out there!
It replaced my old 2x12 cab and i was amazed. Very bright and nice sounding. Cheap too, buy it!
Solid Cab
A very solid cabinet. The sound is punchy through Vox MV50 and Katana 100watt head. I would prefer that the mono to stereo switching was automatic to prevent any routing mistakes.
It's almost hard to believe you can get this cab with 2 v30s in it for the price. It sounds fantastic and it's well built. My only complaint is the slightly cheap looking vinyl it's covered in, but then it *is* cheap! Now considering buying the 4x12 version too.
V30âs for cheap
I bought this cab a few years ago, use it every week. It’s gets chucked in the back of my car, used and abused. It’s a wonderful cab. Don’t let these people talking about build quality out you off. It’s made of wood, unless you drop the thing a lot of times it isn’t going to break. As for the sound, it has Celestion Vintage 30’s, great speaker for metal. In my opinion it’s not worth spending £800 on a Mesa 2x12. For a quarter of the price, you get close enough to the sound.
Great product for an excellent price
One awesome 212 Cabinet
So happy I ordered this cab. The build quality is excellent, solid, well built tolex is nicely done. The sound is just as good as my brand name 212 cab with the same speakers at 1/3rd the price. Ordered this on a Monday and it arrived Friday coming from Germany to the U.S. The shipping is a bit expensive but well worth it. Arrived with no damage. Wish I would have known about these before I had bought the name brand at 3 times the price. If you need a 212 with 2 vintage 30s look no further this is it
Great speaker cabinet and speakers.
Ordered on the 26 arrived this morning.👍
I’ve already got the upright version and love these cabinets and 2x 12” vintage Celestion 30 speakers.
Still don’t know how they can do these for the prices they sell for.
Outstanding, the Vintage 30's Celestions are the reason for my purchase.
like the cabinet,I'am also Vintage,@ 70 years old,and a little banged up,as was the Cabinet by the time it arrived, but instead of a returning,a bit of Gorilla glue and all is well, hence the 3 stars for guality,Great sound!.
As expected
Shipping was on time and the cabinet was excellent quality for the price!
Everything about this cabinet is great, the only problem I have is the packaging when shipped, the box arrived damaged and because of the lack of Styrofoam in the box the cabinet arrived with some small damage, thankfully the damage is in the back and can't be seen unless your looking for it,packaging before shipping must be improved
Perfect cheap, but good sounding cab
For the price, it's practically perfect. The only thing I'd like to change, is to make it slightly more like the Mesa 2x12 with handwired V30s, but otherwise it works extremely well and is pretty versatile with its 2 inputs giving you the option to use 2 amps at the same time.
Killer value for the price.
The HB G212 is an absolutely outstanding value for the price. I picked this cab up to support my Engl Fireball 25, and it's the right pairing. The cab sounds fantastic with V30s. They sound great at 1, 5, or 25 watts. The construction is solid, and the built in handles are a great touch. You simply cannot beat the value for the price.
Bang for your buck
The two Celestion speakers alone make up around 80% of the price, so I was quite shocked how good the quality was on the actual cab itself, it ain't top quality but for the price it's the best you could get. I use it with a Marshall JCM 900 and the sound is very good, the Celestions make this thing a bargain.
Pros
- Celestion speakers
- Price
Cons
-None so far
unbelievable value
vintage 30s in a great cab for just the price of the speakers. it's unreal how good they sound. I have the orange 412's with v30s and though this doesn't have the girth of a 412 it has the air movement if that makes any sense. I have 4 of these for all my different rigs and it makes the big brothers jealous. Great build quality, lets not make it what it isn't though. Is not orange or mesa quality...I have both. Are they great reference points? you bet. Sadly can say that the build quality and the electronics are better than my Marshall stuff if that gives you any reference
Great cab for the price
V30s in a Cab for that price is a deal. Sounds great.
Really Good
Was recommended this cab by a friend and was not disappointed. The sound is really clear and better than what I was expecting.
