Harley Benton G212 Celestion V30 5-stars Reviews
Outstanding Value
This 2x12 sounds amazing and didn't break the bank. I am quite satisfied. My neighbors, however, less so.
-Sturdy handles on the sides, rather than on top - as they should be
-Crystal clear highs and mids, booming bass
-Excellent materials and construction. Should last forever.
Real Celestion Vintage 30s in this cab
For anyone having doubts, this is a real Celestion Vintage 30 equipped cab, with the sound to prove it. The build quality is actually pretty good, the tolex isn't all that great (little nicks on the finish just from the transport), but for the price, it can't be beat. And it also looks great. I use it as a recording cab, and really like the sound I get from it.
Best value for money cab
I bought this to use with my AX8. I gig weekly at the same venue and wanted a cheap cab to leave there. I was after a cabinet exactly with these specs, 2 x 12 loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and I must say I am completely satisfied. It looks and feels solid and the sound is exactly what you'd imagine it to be. I've giged with this about 20 times and had no issues whatsoever. I honestly can not find any cons. Easily comparable with any other cabinet with the same specifications.Highly recommended !
Outstanding
I run a Modded Katana100 combo and Joyo Jacman head through this depending on my humor and the quality amazes me. It’s given the Kat 100 a different flavor with a bit more grunt to gain and warmth to clean. It takes a while to break in the speakers but once you do - wow!! The Jackman sounds like a Marshall through it. With my Gretsch I’ve got an excellent Malcolm Young sound. This is genuinely outstanding values with no cons to think of.
The cab itself is solid yet not too heavy. you get a great feeling of substance to this Cab and it proves itself when you plug it in. For home, practice and gigs you really can’t go wrong.
Best cab for the money
Excellent cab, build very solid and sounds great.
I can't think of a good reason for buying anything else on the market that also has V30s. I wished Harley Benton made one with G12k100s or CV-75 for some extra low end.
Anyhow, the hype is real, can't possibly go wrong.
This is exactly what it looks like
It's a closed back 212 cab with V30s. And it sounds like one. The build quality is a little loose, but I believe it doesn't affect the sound, and for the price it's not even a cab, but a miracle.
Great Cabinet for a Great Price
Keeping it simple, this an awesome cabinet for a ridiculous price. I've been using it with a Hughes&Ketner Tubemeister Deluxe 40 on a Vertical position (yes, I know it's a horizontal cabinet, flip on its side, done) and it sounds huge. It pairs greatly with the H&K. Can't say anything bad about it. Solid Buy
If you're here, you already know. just buy it already
I dont think i need to say much. 2 v30s and the cab for less than the v30s cost by themselvs. That pretty much sums it up
Pretty fine!
You really can't have much better rock cabinet with some classic V30 speakers than this, awesome price and great shipping. For the price is incredible, considering it does all you want in a Rock N' Roll cabinet. Well-built. Why not 5 stars? Respect!
Great bang for the buck
-Not too heavy
-The build quality is great, it wont wear easily
-The speakers sound great
-Good base and all around response
Simply phenomenal value for money.
There's every chance you've seen the reviews on YouTube, and like they've all said - there's no catch to this cabinet!
Sure, the covering may have the odd spot of excess glue. Sure the high may not be quite as bright, or the low end quite as tight as a Mesa cab costing 7x as much.
But considered holistically, this cabinet is a superb purchase.
One of the best 2x12 cabs out there
I needed a smaller cab than my Marshall 4x12, so I don't have to bring that big one all the time to rehearsals and smaller gigs. After some research, I ended up buying this beast of a cab. It's not only smaller than my 4x12, it also sounds miles better than its bigger brother (which has Eminence AX-75 speakers in it and it's kinda bass heavy), thanks to the Vintage 30 speakers this Harley cab comes equipped with.
Other than the sound of the cab, which I have to say it's absolutely huge and glorious, it seems to be built rock solid. Like come on, its handles are made of some kind of metal, whereas my Marshal's handles are made of plastic. That has to say everything.
I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and I highly recommend this cab to anybody who would like to buy an awesome sounding and well built cab, without having to spend a fortune on one.
Quite simply my new 'go to' cab
I've used so many different cabs over the years and I always seem to come back to the ones with Celestions (V30's or greenbacks) in them. This cab is insane! It is cheaper than buying two V30 speakers! Economies of scale are a wonderful thing.
The build quality of this cab is spot on and its clean, tidy and relatively lightweight, which is vital for gigging and lugging it around to sessions etc. However it is the sound that is most important and this cab is everything you would expect of a 2 x 12 V30 laden enclosure. It has all the crisp clarity, tight mid-range and bottom that you need for that vintage guitar tone, but it works equally well with modern high gain amps. Obviously it's tuned and works best with tube amps, but I have also tried it with Mosfet solid state and it retains its tonal qualities here too. You would be hard pressed to find anything up to this standard at twice or even three times the price. What's not to love about this great offering from Harley Benton!
Best Cab for the Money!
I ordered this model mainly because of the 2x12 size and V30 speakers in it. I thought about getting cabs from Orange, Mesa, or Marshall and I didn't want to spend over $500 if I didn't have to. If you plug in and it sounds bad.... get a new head or dial your tone better. Currently playing an Orange Micro Dark with it and it still blows me away! If you're thinking about getting a different cab, don't. LOOK NO FURTHER!
Most Value for money cab ever!
The features are unprecedented for the price paid, since it has a legit set of Vintage 30 speakers. It is not too heavy but stil feels rock solid.
All in all, it is almost impossible to find a better cab at this price range! Totally recommending it.
All the other positive feedback is right
I think the quality is great, it sounds great and the price was so low that it’s hard to believe
Pros: Vintage 30s, well manufactured, looks great
When I took the cabinet from the box it came in, I was blown away by its quality. I didn't expect much for the price, which is lower than the price of the speakers, but I couldn't find a single nitpick. Really awesome cabinet, I can't judge the sound properly yet, the speakers need to be broken in, but so far I am very impressed.
Well made, sounds great!
I've been using this for around 5 years now (it's taken me a while to leave a review!!) and it's worked perfectly and sounds great. Solidly built for rehearsals and gigging - who could ask for more.
Best cab for the price.
Not much more to add. If you need great sounding cab on the cheap this one is for you.
Great value!
Cabinet sounds great, although it can sound pretty fizzy as compared to more expensive cabs out there. However, for the amount you're paying, this cabinet is superb and I can't recommend it enough.
