Harley Benton Valuestrings EL 10-46 4-stars Reviews
Not bad
I have nothing to say but they're good for the money. Feels good
Great Strings for a great price.
Got those strings the first time about a year ago when i restrung a used tele for my friend. A couple of days later he asked me what strings i used for it because he likes the snappy sound so much. I use them now on all my solid bodies.
Do what theyre supposed to do
They are strings
And they function very good as strings.
they dont wear out too quickly
of course not as high quality as 15 coated strings of course
but overal very good price to quality ratio
Surprisingly good quality for the price
Really surprised by these, given how cheap they are.
The sound is very decent and they lasted longer than I expected. I normally use D'Addario EXL110 and I still prefer those, these Harley Benton strings had quite a similar sound to the D'Addarios.
My sweat makes certain strings (Ernie Balls) go rusty in a day or two, these lasted for two weeks!
Won't use them for important gigs, but find them nice to put on the guitars I don't play every day.
Good
I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and a set of D'addarios for example, but then again i cant tell the difference between any different sets of strings.
Bottom line, yeah they're good
Good for Backup
Good and Cheap set for backups.
Cheep and Cheerful
Great strings to buy in bulk due to the affordability. I wouldn't say these strings stay fresh for a long time but the price means you can buy many sets and change your strings regularly.
Great value for virtually no money
For 1,49¤ there's really not much to say. They're strings, they do their job, and that for a bit of change. Do they sound amazing? No, but that's not their purpose. Do they sound clear for long periods of time? Again, no, but that's not their purpose. They're meant as backups, to be replaced as soon as possible. And even if used a little longer, they're decent. I would however switch them after 2-3 weeks at most.
Pros
-Cheap
-Decent quality strings
Cons
-Degrade quickly
-Packaging is... lackluster
Perfect for stocking up
I've been using these for a few months now and do the job absolutely fine. They are all I use now.
Daddarios will of course sound better, but to be honest, in a band setting the difference is not audible enough for me to spend so much for something I change out regularly anyway.
The strings last a while too, and I play regularly.
Pros: affordable / they feel like more expencive strings that I've tried / They sound fine
Cons: they are not in the same league as more popular brands
I'm going to keep ordering these because they do exactly what I need them to.
Even if you do look for the greatest quality strings, it is worth having some of these as a back up at the very least in case you break a string on stage or in a rehearsal and need something quick to get the job done.
Ok
These strings are not supposed to be coated, but they kind of feel like they are. Each string is sealed separately in the box. Ok for the price.

You can't go wrong with these, bargain.
I still prefer Rotosound yellows,
especially if I was still gigging. The Rotosounds seem more defined, there's not a lot in it.
But when you've got many guitars, and just play them for pleasure , you can't go wrong.
I bought a heap, no premature breakage and they seem durable and last ages.
Very good ratio of quality and price
Perfect test strings if you are setting up and / or modifying your guitar.
The sound for this price is very good, and the overall feel is 7 out of 10, a bit brittle. Overall these strings can compare up to strings in a much higher price range.
Spare strings
I always have this ones for when i break the strings i usually have on my guitar, or for the guitars i usually don't use for recording or gigs, they are pretty acceptable for the price
Value for money!
Good strings to have as a backup for rehearsing or even gigging!
Unreal Value!
These strings are great, they sound and feel as good as the big brand name strings at a fraction of the price! I will definitely be purchasing these again in the future!
Useable strings for less
Not 100% as bright and resonant as the most expensive strings you can find. but perfectly fine for live performances or practice. Good value. A reasonable choice. I even used them on my last recording project. Really hard to distinguish sonic differences in a mix. Good enough for me.
Excellent Value For Money
For the money, you'd be silly *not* to get a few packets of these. I usually use Elixers, but keep these in my gig bag so that if i break a string at a gig, I can use one as a spare and leave it on until I get a chance to put on a full set of my usual.
No issues in terms of sound or playability. Not really sure how long they hold their tone for as it's been quite a while since I've had a set on a guitar for a significant period of time.
A durabilidade é bastante razoável
As cordas também vêm seladas em saquetas individuais de plástico, pelo que não me parece que oxidem facilmente mesmo estando guardadas durante algum tempo.
Pelo preço e pela razoável qualidade parece-me impossível encontrar melhor
bang for the buck
These strings are suprisingly good.
I dont know strings with a simmilar price and the quality is totally good for it.
I can see a little difference in feel and sound in comparison to the major brands , but for this little price I am really satisfied.
Basic set but they sound good and
Cheap set, but the do their job.
My packet was new and fine, no opaqueness or rust inside.
Initially bright sounding and after some they will become slightly more dark, but this is for all strings set, even the expensive one.
After long use are still good, haven't broken any, and resisted to sweat so all in all it's ok.
More expensive sets can give you more sharp sound and sustain but these, if you're in need of saving a bit, are ok. Can go for it.
Btw, I'm "light hand", playing mildly on the guitar and normally, not much pushing, so If your playing is aggressive or heavy maybe buy more than one set (are cheap so you can) or go for a more expensive kind, but I'm guessing here.
Cheers
