Very strong and value for money product

Recommended in general. Excellent price. Fair quality for that money. Lasts ok, too.

Great for the money

I decided to give these a go by using them on my practice guitar and they do the job fine, they have clarity and they are good to have as spare strings in case one or two strings break, to avoid replacing the whole set.

They sound fine!

Harley Benton Valuestrings 010

Have been using these strings for years

When i bought them first, i was sceptical because of price

They are 3 times cheaper than next priced strings

When i started playing, they felt great

Pros

Price

Durability

Cons

Slight difference in sound, they are not that bright

They get worn a bit faster

But with such good price it is hard to resist not to try them

Good.

Good strings. I use as spares but would not have a problem using for a full gig.

Can't complain for the price.

I've been a guitar tech for many years now and have tried most brands of strings of varying gauges. I've strung maybe five guitars for use in a school with these now and I'm pretty impressed.

Perhaps not quite as bright and clear as more expensive brands but at £1.32 a set they really are very good. No obscure breakages at stress points so far after around 6 months use & they can take a beating from pupils in the classroom.

Well worth a try.

Good value

Perfect strings if you are that kind of player who wants to change strings often :)

Ideal for a second guitar

I've use several sets of these with no problems, they stay in tune and don't seem to break any more than more expensive strings.

If I'm gigging I use more expensive strings but if I'm not gigging and I need to change strings I use these, I also use them on my second guitar for the last few years with no problems.

Very cheap

They obviously don't compare to the higher quality strings in terms of longevity, but at this price you could replace them weekly. Absolutely no complaints with the tone.

Good for the price

These strings are great for beginners as well as for longer practice sessions where a particular sound is not so important. In addition to that, I have been using them myself when experimenting with different string gauges and not wanting to spend too much money before deciding which gauges suited me the best. These strings can not be compared in quality to professional strings, but for the price they are excellent.

Good strings

- Use :

I use them for years on Ibanez, Fender & Gibson.

I play many style and these strings always fit.

- Pros :

Cheap, good quality, good sound

- Cons :

Only one but it's almost insignificant : when "thumping", you can feel the imperfection of the string when doing up-stroke. That said, I once had the same thing with other strings (don't remember which).

- Conclusion :

Go for it !

Affordable Strings

I regularly use d'addario strings, these harley benton are not on the same level, although I find that for the price they do a good job.

Overall I think the the sound is not as rich as what I get from a d'addario strings, the flexibility and the feeling of the strings is also a bit more rigid and rude... despite that they have a reasonable durability with good resistance to oxidation. For the price I think they are a good choice for backup strings.

Good for the money

You get what you pay for.

The strings are decent enough and will sound good, but you don't get a lot of durability with these.

If you're recording in studio and wish to change your strings very often or if spend a lot of time polishing your strings, you can go for these.

If you rely on the quality of the strings themselves to be durable, maybe pay a bit more and go for Ernie Ball or Elixir.

Good value

They lose their freshness quicker than say Rotosounds, but for the cash these are decent. Buy in bulk and have at it. The electric Harley Benton strings are better than the acoustic strings.

Good value for money.

Good and cheap set of strings. The feel is not as good as name brands ( a bit scratchy out of the box), but after some time it feels okay. Sound is about what you expect, though it is not as bright as the name brands.

Pros: Price, sound is okay.

Cons: scratchy feeling out of the box.

good bang for the buck

There isn't much to say about these string. I got them out of curiosity. They aren't the greatest out there, but not bad either. They sound good as new, but it goes away in a couple of weeks if you play the guitar on a daily basis. Still, at this price, you can change them weekly and you won't have a big hole in your wallet. These string are definitely underrated, especially if pricing is taken into consideration.

So far so good

Bought a few packs to bring my order over the free delivery amount for Ireland (and who can resist the price?).

Well packaged in separate sleeves. Seem a little duller in colour than the D'addarios I'm used to.

Put them on a HB SC550 Les Paul type guitar and so far they are great: sound, tuning stablity, bends, slides all OK. Time will tell how they last but at this price there's nothing to complain about.
