Harley Benton Valuestrings EL 10-46 5-stars Reviews
Very good for the money!
Good
Good sound, good quality.
They sound great
I restrung my new guitar with them shortly after it came and they sounded better than the D'Addarios that came on it from the store. Ofcourse those weren't fresh either but I still think it speaks well of these strings, which one month later still sound very good.
Great strings at a steal price.
I've been using these strings for years now and I can comfortably say that they do the job, and damn how.
I bought them in the first place to use them on my second guitar and I was quite surprise to find out the sound was good and they were durable as well, so I started using it on my mains and I was very happy with that as well.
It's a different sound from ErnieBalls, D'Addarios and Elixirs, but I'd say that it's a great thing. More flavours to choose from.
Definitely recommended, especially for their price point.
Not the best string but for the money they are amazing!
Cheap and well
Nothing to say. Well strings for very cheap price.
Not bad at all
I got these strings as part of the pack which I bought with the guitar. I am a die hard Ernie Ball Cobalt strings fan, but checking these strings, they are not bad at all. Especially for the price and the tonal quality they produce. It easily stands against any of the top brand strings.
Great price/value ratio
I used to substitute the strings on an old Strato-like guitar, of course they are not the greatest sounding strings ever, but for the price, the quality is very good.
great value
Harley Benton always provides good quality for an affordable price.
Harley Benton Valuestrings 010 review
Bought these strings to put them on a guitar that I was going to sell.
I have to say I was surprised, for so cheap I didn't expect them to be this good.
Still not my favourite strings but if budget is thight I can see myself recording and gigging with these.
Can't beat the price
For the price... I like 'em. They alst long and I'm happy with the sound.
Fantastic!
I play as a professional guitarist and do 150 to 200 live shows and sessions a year. I love these strings as they are excellent value for money and I can afford to change them frequently to keep my sound fresh.
I don't hear or feel any difference in quality from these to any other brand and I have used them all.
Another Winner form Harley Benton!
Not GHS or else, but... AT THIS PRICE???
Seriously: you cannot expect them to be as brillant or durable as other guitar strings, but you cannot find any cheaper, and the result you get is at least decent. I still use them as a replacement, and often I leave them on until one breakes!
Excellent Value for Money.
I use loads of these - and always need a few spare sets. At this price I can keep many spare sets and it is nice to be able to give them away when other guitarists need strings.
Really good wire
I'm using it in studio records, this wire is really no difference from professional wires. I'm quite satisfied. Chord balance is as good as a piano. I have no idea about the life of the product yet.
Perfect for beginners
Overall I'm very happy with this string set which came with my guitar. The sound is good, the tune is holding up okay so far. Best bang for the buck and I'm definitely going to order pack of these later just to keep replacement strings somewhere near. Probably not-as-good-sounding as other alternatives that cost more.
Amazing for the Price
I bought these originally because I needed some cheap strings for a project guitar that I keep taking apart. They have been amazingly good for the price - to the point where I would put them up there with the D'Addarios and Ernie Balls. They keep their tone and new feel longer than most uncoated strings. Tone is easily bright enough for me, though some might prefer a little more sparkle. However the sparkliest strings tend to degrade more quickly. Amazingly good for uncoated strings
You get what you pay for.
Decent sound with decent quality(usually). For a killer price.
There dead in similar time to strings 3 times the price.
Just keep in mind occasionally they might break especially if you often times do some job that requires changing tension on guitar. Ernie ball has similar problem but more often which is kind of not really good for much more expensive strings.
If you have sweaty hands it is a good option.
Such good value
I usually use Ernie Ball strings, and I bought these strings for a very cheap project guitar. Honestly, they were good. I preferred them to D'Addario XL in fact! Well worth a go at this price, great for students or those on a tight budget, they are very useable strings.
Good enough for rock and roll
For years I've used Ernie Ball Slinky's for my electric guitar strings, but I recently used a colleague's spare set of Harley Bentons, and now I'm not going back.
I just ordered a job lot because these sound 99% as good as any other brand for less than 20% of the price. Smooth and comfortable to play, they stay in tune and do exactly the job I need as a full time musician.
Highly recommended.
