I'm not a professional guitar player, though I've been playng for quite a few years now. I've got all kinds of strings you can imagine, though I always buy Harley Bentons as a backup. They really got nice tone, but as usual for strings this cheap, the lifetime isn't that great, but for this price they're excellent.
Great value
Have been using them for a while now and i have to say that i am impressed for the price. I always use Fast Fret after playing and they last a long time. When first unpacked they feel a bit sticky, especially the G string but nothing a bit of Fast Fret can't fix. Buying a lot of those and changing frequently beats buying more expensive strings and keeping them till they rust IMO, unless you are professionally recording. All in all, very very happy and will continue buying
Good purchase
These are cheap, good quality guitar strings. Put a set on my DC Custom over the weekend (the original strings were a little bit rusty when it arrived) and it sounds great!
Good quality strings for next to no money.
Great strings for a fraction of the usual price
I don't know how they can sell these for so cheap. They sound great, are very durable and feel comfortable. I can't tell much difference to the D'Addario XL's I used to play. Now I exclusively play these, because I can actually afford changing strings often enough.
Best value strings
I have been using these for couple of years now with my b-bender tele and no issues at all. Sounds crisp and last long as the more expensive ones...
Serious bang for the buck
Glad I tried these strings! I currently use them on my cheaper guitars, since I can't justify spending 10+ euro on a set of strings for a cheap guitar. Even though they are very inexpensive, they last a long time, feel great and sound almost as good as more expensive strings to my ears. Would definitely recommend them if you have a lot of guitars and need strings in bulk or to restring a fairly cheap instrument.
Nothing different than a branded set of strings.
I have tried 009s and 010s value HB strings.
They must come from Daddario or any other known factory.
These are 1 to 1 like normal Ernie Ball or any other non coated brand.
Highly recommended.
Great quality/price ratio
I use both the bass and electric guitar strings from HB to create a custom set of strings for my All Fifths Tuning.
I've been using these strings for the past couple of months and they play and sound well. I've put them to the test to use them for studio recordings. They did the job well!
+ Good sound
+ Well made
+ Durable
+ Low price
- The thicker strings feel a bit rough.
Great!
The industry standard? Could be.
I have guitars with different string guages. What suits the guitar really. I have 25 so I try and get it right with each one. Its what feels right. Harley Benton products are top notch quality for the price point. Great sounding strings with a good feel under the fingers. I always buy 10 packs at a time. Makes sense really. Highly recommended.
Good
Not much to say about these strings, they sound and work fine. Durability is fine as well, they won't break that easily. You likely won't be able to hear a difference between these and more expensive strings.
Cheap and best value
Sub standard sound and poor quality. Ball ends can be improperly wrapped sometimes. Considering its price, it is good enough for a backup set.
Nothing wrong with these strings at all.
Sound great on my vintage strat. Can't hear a difference between these ernies or d'addarios. Still sounds like a kickass vintage strat. Anybody complaning about sound probably has a low quality guitar/pickups.
And anybody complaining about string breakages probably has a poorly cut nut/sharp saddles or tuning peg holes because I haven't had a single string break and im on my 5th packet... and i bend these strings to the heavens.
Yes they are good strings!
I now don't waste my money on sets costing up to 6 times more... why? These strings are made well and play well, they sound great when new and last as well as many name brands, but at a fraction of the cost.
Wish I knew about these earlier, I'd have saved a fortune!!
Get them!!
1.50 euros wow
great strings for the price.hold tone well. for 1.50 who can complain. been using these for awhile now .nothing bad to say about them.
My go-to replacement strings
The Harley Benton Value Strings 010 are my go-to replacement strings for electric guitar. I don?t like to swap all the strings when one gets broken so I always replace this one string with the matching Harley Benton Value String. Overall I think the quality is quite good, especially if you consider the price. In my opinion it?s obvious that the Value Strings can?t compete with strings like the ones from Ernie Ball etc. but if you have a look at the price-performance ratio I really can?t complain about the quality, sound and durability of the HB Value Strings. As replacement strings I will definitely buy them again!
Great strings for its price.
These are good pratice strings. Very cheep so you can change them often, but I wouldn't use them on stage.
as good as name brand strings
I initially bought them for guitar setups, but ended up leaving them on.
I honestly cannot hear a difference between these strings and regular Ernie Ball strings of same gauge.
the only difference I noticed was the Harley Benton strings are not as shiny as Ernie Ball or D'Addario strings.
great sounding strings
I bought these strings to try and reduce the ammount that i was spending on other strings.
they have amazing clarity and are a brilliant replacement for any bigger brands that i used to buy.
I find it easier to tune with these strings. they make the ammount of tunnings that i use a lot easier to achieve.
I will definately be buying these strings again, and i would also recommend them to people.
No beating around the bush - great strings.
I have been playing guitar for well over 10 years in and out of bands, studios and whatnot, tried many famous brands, bought these at first as a joke, as the drummer was getting a truckload of drumsticks. After I've put the on my tele, I was quite surprised, because they last quite for some time! Some of the big brands don't last even twice as long, and I've been using them for years and years, thinking that cheap strings just can't sound good, because if they would, why would anyone buy the expensive ones? I'm slowly converting all of my friends who play electric/acoustic guitar onto these strings (no matter the gauge), because even if there are strings that last a tad longer, there simply is no way that these aren't cheaper to get and change over and over. Simple packaging, very slinky, the "fresh pack" feel lasts for a VERY reasonable amount of time. Sort of a shocker, as I was used to buying strings way pricier than these ones. Would recommend.
