Harley Benton Valuestrings EL 10-46 Reviews
Do what theyre supposed to do
They are strings
And they function very good as strings.
they dont wear out too quickly
of course not as high quality as 15 coated strings of course
but overal very good price to quality ratio
Strings.....
I ordered a 10-46 and 11-52 sets. They sopposed to be HANDMADE....but I don't think so! I tore Е strings 4-5 times when I tried to tune them to key of E!!! They just unwind when you try to tune them!!!.... Doesn't worth a CENT like a set of strings. you can buy them in case you need some backup strings BUT..... 4 to 6 ones! :-)
Good
Good sound, good quality.
They sound great
I restrung my new guitar with them shortly after it came and they sounded better than the D'Addarios that came on it from the store. Ofcourse those weren't fresh either but I still think it speaks well of these strings, which one month later still sound very good.
Great strings at a steal price.
I've been using these strings for years now and I can comfortably say that they do the job, and damn how.
I bought them in the first place to use them on my second guitar and I was quite surprise to find out the sound was good and they were durable as well, so I started using it on my mains and I was very happy with that as well.
It's a different sound from ErnieBalls, D'Addarios and Elixirs, but I'd say that it's a great thing. More flavours to choose from.
Definitely recommended, especially for their price point.
Not the best string but for the money they are amazing!
Cheap and well
Nothing to say. Well strings for very cheap price.
Not bad at all
I got these strings as part of the pack which I bought with the guitar. I am a die hard Ernie Ball Cobalt strings fan, but checking these strings, they are not bad at all. Especially for the price and the tonal quality they produce. It easily stands against any of the top brand strings.
Great price/value ratio
I used to substitute the strings on an old Strato-like guitar, of course they are not the greatest sounding strings ever, but for the price, the quality is very good.
great value
Harley Benton always provides good quality for an affordable price.
Harley Benton Valuestrings 010 review
Bought these strings to put them on a guitar that I was going to sell.
I have to say I was surprised, for so cheap I didn't expect them to be this good.
Still not my favourite strings but if budget is thight I can see myself recording and gigging with these.
Surprisingly good quality for the price
Really surprised by these, given how cheap they are.
The sound is very decent and they lasted longer than I expected. I normally use D'Addario EXL110 and I still prefer those, these Harley Benton strings had quite a similar sound to the D'Addarios.
My sweat makes certain strings (Ernie Balls) go rusty in a day or two, these lasted for two weeks!
Won't use them for important gigs, but find them nice to put on the guitars I don't play every day.
Good
I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this and a set of D'addarios for example, but then again i cant tell the difference between any different sets of strings.
Bottom line, yeah they're good
Can't beat the price
For the price... I like 'em. They alst long and I'm happy with the sound.
Good for Backup
Good and Cheap set for backups.
Cheep and Cheerful
Great strings to buy in bulk due to the affordability. I wouldn't say these strings stay fresh for a long time but the price means you can buy many sets and change your strings regularly.
Good price
Good strings for the price
Great value for virtually no money
For 1,49¤ there's really not much to say. They're strings, they do their job, and that for a bit of change. Do they sound amazing? No, but that's not their purpose. Do they sound clear for long periods of time? Again, no, but that's not their purpose. They're meant as backups, to be replaced as soon as possible. And even if used a little longer, they're decent. I would however switch them after 2-3 weeks at most.
Pros
-Cheap
-Decent quality strings
Cons
-Degrade quickly
-Packaging is... lackluster
Perfect for stocking up
I've been using these for a few months now and do the job absolutely fine. They are all I use now.
Daddarios will of course sound better, but to be honest, in a band setting the difference is not audible enough for me to spend so much for something I change out regularly anyway.
The strings last a while too, and I play regularly.
Pros: affordable / they feel like more expencive strings that I've tried / They sound fine
Cons: they are not in the same league as more popular brands
I'm going to keep ordering these because they do exactly what I need them to.
Even if you do look for the greatest quality strings, it is worth having some of these as a back up at the very least in case you break a string on stage or in a rehearsal and need something quick to get the job done.
Ok
These strings are not supposed to be coated, but they kind of feel like they are. Each string is sealed separately in the box. Ok for the price.
