Harley Benton Valuestrings EL 11-52 Reviews
Great bang for the buck
These stings are great for backups or for students on a budget :) Worth every cent.
Cheap. Good. I am happy.
I have a really angry character of playing the guitar, so very often my strings tear. These are perfect for that price.
Great strings
I've experimented with a lot of strings so far and I have to tell these did not disappoint.
The tone is not breathtaking but then again its not crappy either and it stays regular throughout time. No surprises.
They keep tune quite well and this for me is why they are good bang for buck. They also intonate well if you are wondering.
I haven't broken any, and tbh, if you have then check your guitar setup because something is wrong with it. These strings are reliable.
They do tarnish quite badly but if you clean them up properly after use you will be able to keep them going great.
Superb value
You won't find something like this anywhere else I guess.
These strings are some very good sounding nichel-plated roundwounds, with a good tension and a not too rough surface in my opinion, which come very, very cheap! Actually I'm loving this gauge set, which is very full sounding and lets me experiment with some slightly downtuned tunes.
Honestly you can't go wrong with these
Good for practice
I just threw these on an old guitar that was in the house and they sound pretty good, I only play an hour or 2 a week but they sounded pretty okay considering how cheap they are.
Product better than expected
Each string was individually wrapped in a sealed plastic pouch. No corrosion on any of them. Sound and play fine. Surprisingly good quality.
Good strings
Only just been put on a week or so and they seem fine, as good as anything else...no idea how they will last long term, but all good so far!!
Total bargain
Use these on a hollow body guitar for funky lead stuff mainly.
Stay in tune, can take abuse, and sound pretty bright.
I use rotosounds on other guitars and that extra E does help, however you can buy about four of five packets of these bad boys for the same price.
Definetly worth your custom
As good as more expensive brands
These strings are at least equal in quality as the cheaper strings of much more well known brands.
I wouldn't even mind using them for recording, they are durable and hold tune and intonation over a long period of time.
not really my taste of strings but ok
+ great price
+ sound ok
+ they feel good
- the 011 - 014 - 018 strings are not flexible enough, so you can't restring your guitar with the same strings that you have used before, or they will break.
- sound a little bit too agressive for me
u cant go wrong
ive been playing guitars for quite awhile (coming to 10 years) and i dont know about u guys but i cant tell a difference in sound of the stings i used over the years. feel, yes, but not something u cant get over if u play for so long.
so my 2 cents are, why buy more expensive strings if u cant tell the difference, its not like they have brand stamps on the string it self. another is, if ure just playing in your room or just small gigs around your area, u might want to save some of that money for something much better, like maybe a better amp, which is gonna make a more noticeable difference. or for a good recording studio, trust me, investing in a good recording studio is gonna go a long way.
Price wise, nothing compares.
Bargain set of strings for little money. Just buy them.
GREAT BANG FOR YOUR BUCK
AAAAAAAAAAAAA PRODUCT FOR PRICE CANT BE BEAT ON THESE STRINGS GREAT AND EASY TO FIT AND A VERY FAIR PRICE AND ABLE TO BUY 4X MORE THAN PRICE OF BIGGER NAME BRANDS GREAT FOR US NORMAL HOBBIE GUITAR PEOPLE AAAAA
Great value for money
Great strings for practicing, good value for money! Will buy again.
Can't believe. Cost next to nothing but it still very usable.
HB strings are great surprise for me. They cost next to nothing but you still can get decent sounds from it. 0.11 strings are quite thick but it fits for jazz music when its about "fat thick sound". Please try these without reservation.
Great Strings
Does exactly what they say on the tin, standard steel strings, they sound great and last the usual amount of time as long as you don't have corrosive sweat, quality is all there, I would honestly compare them to the likes of dunlop and d'addario (they're the only big name strings i've used in the past in this guage, currently using dean markley in 12's and 13's tuned lower and the harley bentons feel just as nice) would recommend them to anyone, especially at this price point, you really cant go wrong, as long as youre a string stretcher then youre not going to have any tuning issues with these, they last, theyre stable, they sound nice, i really cant say anything more except BUY THEM !!!!! ESPECIALLY IN BULK, YOU WOULD BE MAD NOT TO !!!!!!
Will be using these again!
5 packs of these for the price of one of my regular Dadarrios, I wasn't really expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised. If there is any difference at all, its minimal, I've done three rehearsals, a gig and a good few hours playing at home and they still sound good. I think I'm converted!
Now These Are Strings
As with most guitar players, I've tried all manner of strings in a variety of gauges. All the usual suspects and a lot of the 'boutique' and 'barking' brigade too. Never though have I tried a set of strings that instantly made me feel and sound like a better guitar player, until now.
I have to say, for a Euro I wasn't expecting much, and if the balls had fallen off the end I would have just shrugged and reached for something else, but they genuinely have exceeded every expectation and quite a few hopes.
For a start, out of the packet they weren't corroded. I know they shouldn't be, but too often new strings seem to come with the newness already waning. No problem here though.
Next, no floppiness. Again, especially with cheaper strings I've often found them to be quite flimsy - even 11s - but these were again perfect straight out of the packet.
And once they were on, well wow. They feel great, sound stunning and stay in tune. WHat else is there?
Not real great :(
Tarnished out of the pack, a bit too much stretch when new. Spend a few dollars more on D'addarios, they'll sound better and last longer.
OK for spares, the kids, cheap guitars.
Bang for the buck
For the price one pays for these strings, they are great. I am using them on an old squier strat to practice some drop tunings and they satisfy my need. Have just put them on, can't really tell about their durabilty but they are good.
