Good affordable stand for the beginner

Bought a couple of these to use for an open mic night. The build quality isn?t awesome but is at the level you?d expect at the price. Solid enough stand for our use & certainly fine for home practice use. I suspect the stand wouldn?t be up to the rigours of proper gigging, repeated setup & breakdown etc. But at this price & for the application outlined above, a fine useful stand.

Good value

Good value mic stand for the money. Is fairly steady and easily manoeuvrable. I would recommend this item without hesitation.

Im impressed

When i first received this item i realised i had paid so little for so much quality. The stand just works perfectly and is very stable.

Also its not too light and picking it up gives a feedback sensation that it seems that is made from good strong materials.

Very good value for low money

Does not do it's job

My advice: Buy a better one. I have had trouble with this stand since I've bought it. The part that is supposed to hold the arm in it's upright position is very weak. No matter how tight I turn the handle, my mics keep dropping. This has led to that particular piece breaking on me twice in one year. Seriously, do not buy this one.

I really couldn't believe that this stand is really good. I just opened the box and i was amazed that it is very strong and also stable. It also not so light so it will stay where you put it, especially if you play in a windy outdoor area. I am happy with both the quality and price.

Budget stand

That is pretty affordable mic stand which is almost one of the cheapest on the market.

Everything works as expected.

Small drawback - the knob that fixes angled tilt arm sticks and is a bit tight to unscrew after the stand wasn't moved for a long time.

Excellent for an overhead mic

Bought to use as an overhead for miking up a drum kit live. Strong enough to support the microphone right over the drumkit. Stand is of a decent quality and looks like it will last a few years so based on the price I would say its a very good purchase.

solid cheap stand

I'm using this for buskin so it gets carried around quite a bit.

I'm pleasenty surprised with the quality of the stand, it doesn't feel cheal or looks like it's gonna break any time soon.

I've had cheap stands in the past and this one beats them all.

I doesn't come with the mic clip thing, which kinda sucks though.

I still recommend it, it's a decent stand for the money.

Gets high!

I'm using this as overhead mic stand which is condenser microphone.

The stand is too light for that as it is, so I need to add always a weight to opposite side of the stand so it doesn't fell down. Which is better than carrying a super heavy stand around ;)

Can't not fault it at all at this price! Go and get one!

Had this a few years now, has stood up to the riggers of gigging and is still working fine. If it broke tomorrow I'd buy another I've had my moneys worth out of the one. For the price you can't go wrong.

Lightweight, Easy to manage while still being sturdy enough to do its job. Folds up tidy for ease of transport.

Studio use only, if at all

Very disappointing. As many other reviewers have described, the boom hinge is completely inadequate. Terribly unstable under the weight of an SM58 ? another collapse during recording and I'll be out of fingers on which to count such incidents. Needless to say one shouldn't trust this in a live situation. I now use these as a backup, reluctantly, and will not be buying again

even though i gave it 3 stars across all aspects, I would still recommend this product. But compared to the higher end stands, it is not the best but is worth the money.

Can be frustrating or hand to get the perfect angle at times.

Would buy if you want a stand without breaking the bank

An average mic stand

Quality is questionable but for price and usability it does the job. It works fine but you can see the quality difference compared to more expensive stands. Overall it does what it says on the tin

I suppose you get what you pay for in life and never truer words were said about this mic stand.

It works fine and would suit someone who wants to use it in a bedroom situation maybe.

The fittings are not sturdy enough to withstand heavy use in a gigging situation for example (in my opinion).

I bought a few of these for my studio but soon realised that they were all beginning to break after minimal use.

For the price, they are useful if you want lots of stands and are not heavy handed with them.

For a gigging band, I would avoid.

Does The job

had 2 for a few years,one is still going,one fell apart,for the price i cant complain,they took a hell of a beating!

Good product

This microphone stand is perfect for what I use it for - home recording.

The only negative aspect from it is the boom arm tilt function is very stiff and sticks.
