Millenium MS 2005 Reviews
What do you expect
This stand is extremely weak and simply falls apart. I wasn't surprised as it was such a cheap stand but I was disappointed. I would definitely recommend saving up and buying a more expensive and better lasting mic stand. These struggled with the weight of the microphones and nearly ever joint in them broke, leaving them useless.
Poor stand
This stand performed well for this first few months but in the end the angle adjustment screw ate into its plastic casing rendering the boom arm unusable. Not durable and needs to be improved. MS-2003 model far better.
Best budget stand
Fantastic value for money. Strong, stable and durable. Easy to manoeuvre and tighten and holds itself well. I especially like the one tighten feature that controls the boom angle and extension. It makes positioning very easy. Simply does not feel like a budget stand.
A mic stand that is perfect in most ways
Given the price f this mic stand you might expect it to buckle under the slightest pressure but I can report that after hurling it around at many many gigs, my Millenium MS-2005 is still very much in one piece. It IS lightweight and does not even begin to compete with the sturdiness of some of the more expensive competition but if you're after something that "does the job", look no further.
You get what you pay for
This microphone stand is a decent back up stand to have, however is not really strong enough to stand up to consistent use. I have had 2 of these, one of which the arm broke off. On a fundamental level, this stand functions, however if you are looking for a stand that is built to last, and withstand regular use, I would look elsewhere for a more expensive better quality stand. I have rated it 4 stars irrespective of these flaws as you really can't argue with the price.
Brilliant stand!
This was a very quick purchase just to accompany a cheap mic and man did it surprise me! I was expecting a plastic stand with very flimsy legs, but instead received a brilliant metallic, sturdy stand. There are a large number of control features, including vertical height adjustment (which stays fairly well positioned over time), horizontal adjustment for boom arm (begins to fade with time, although I have been using it for the last 2 months non stop!) and also the possibility to remove the boom arm all together, a great feature if you want a vertical mic stand for a vocalist only. Overall this product is brilliant and will be adding a few more to the collection I have!
Lightweight value mic stand
I have a couple of these, they're OK if used with a light mic, I have one in use with a heavier mic and it's not really up to the job. If trying to use the boom at 90 degrees, the plastic boom adjustment hinge needs to be tightened so much it can break - mine is now glued into an upright position and used for back up vocals. Having said that it would do it's job fine for use with a smaller mic (say a tBone MB45 II) in a mainly upright position. Depends what you want to use it for.
Controls are a little odd but great quality product!
The Price for a mic stand should not be any more than this. A solid metal and sturdy plastic construction means you would not need to worry about this falling to pieces!
Cheap, but stands up to the task
Not the sturdiest of stands, prone to falling over with heavier mics, but great for cheaper light mics
Ok product for the price.
This mic stand is decent, though the quality can be somewhat lacking. I found the mechanism for holding the mic in place can be weak at times, if using a heavier mic. It is also slightly awkward for recording guitar amps as the mechanisms won't tighten well enough to keep the mic low, near the amp. The stand is perfectly adequate though, when in the upright performance, for vocals, when using a light mic.
Millenium Stand
This is a great starter stand for microphones, at a great price. However, legs can be broken easily if you stand on them accidentally.
Millenium MS-2005
Excellent budget mic stand with boom arm. Sturdy metal base and metal tightener, feels solid and well made and i expect it to last a long time. Gives more than enough clearance to easily use whilst playing an instrument like guitar etc. Can't argue with the price!
great performance at a great price!
bought a few of these stands as spares and fill in stands for a drum kit there pretty nice and easy to tighten due to the turn key a very good feature which i bought them for stability there capable of handling dynamic mics easy and even some lightweight condensers and small diaphragm over heads, defiantly recommend for fill in stands and great priced stands for dynamic mics
Millenium product are proving themselves
At first I was skeptical of Millenium products due to their lower prices, but after over a year of using various products by Millenium like their speaker stands and rackmount light, and this mic stand, they are proving very good deal for the money and I'll gladly buy other products by them.
great mic stand for peanuts
Great mic stand.
Light weight but stable, even with the long boom at max
.
Easy to adjust and ideal for seated or standing use.
Has provision for mounting an extra mic for acoustic guitar etc.
I purchased this as part of a bundle with a mic. which makes it ever better value.
ps
Can even take the boom off and act like freddie
Don't do it!
I bought a load of these stands a few years back and nearly all of them have fallen apart in one way or another. The tightening handle mechanism is less than useless, after a while it becomes unusable as the inside of the mecahanism cracks and doesn't tighten up. Its a poor design and poor quality. Shame on you Millenium!
Job well done!
Does its job and holds microphones! Not as sturdy as more expensive stands but for home studio use its perfect! cheaper than anything else on ebay amazon etc.
keep up the good work!!!

Serves the purpose for lightweight studio stand
